An extract of leaves and stems of Peperomia villipetiola has been found to contain myristicin (3-methoxy-4,5-methylenedioxy-allylbenzene) and seven chromenes, whose structures are methyl 5-hydroxy-7-methyl-2,2-dimethyl-2H-1-chromene-6-carboxylate (1), methyl 5-methoxy-7-methyl-2,2-dimethyl-2H-1-chromene-8-carboxylate (2), methyl 7-hydroxy-5-methyl-2,2-dimethyl-2H-1-chromene-6-carboxylate (3), methyl 7-methoxy-5-methyl-2,2-dimethyl-2H-1-chromene-6-carboxylate (4), 5-methanol-7-hydroxy-2,2-dimethyl-2H-1-chromene-6-carboxylic acid (5), 5-methanol-7-methoxy-2,2-dimethyl-2H-1-chromene-6-carboxylic acid (6), and methyl 5-acetoxymethanol-7-hydroxy-2,2-dimethyl-2H-1-chromene-6-carboxylate (7). A biosynthetic rationale for 1-7 suggests that orsellinic acid may be a common intermediate. The anti-fungal activities of the chromenes were measured bioautographically against Cladosporium cladosporioides and Cladosporium sphaerospermum: compounds 6 and 7 were found to be the most active.  相似文献

Three further derivatives of 5,7,2',4'-tetrahydroxy-6-methyl isoflavanone have been isolated from the root extract of Desmodium canum and assigned the structures 2,3-dihydro-5,7-dihydroxy-6-methyl-3-(1a,2,3,3a,8b,8c-hexahydro-6-hydroxy-1,1,3a-trimethyl-1H-4-oxabenzo[f]cyclobut[c,d]inden-7-yl)-4H-1-benzopyran-4-one (1) 2,3-dihydro-5,7-dihydroxy-6-methyl-3-(6a,7,8,10a-tetrahydro-3-hydroxy-6,6,9-trimethyl-6H-dibenzo[b,d]pyran-2-yl)-4H-1-benzopyran-4-one (2) 2,3-dihydro-5,7-dihydroxy-6-methyl-3-(3-hydroxy-6,6,9-trimethyl-6H-dibenzo[b,d]pyran-2-yl) 4H-1-benzopyran-4-one (3). The three compounds and the previously isolated chromene 4 all derive from the geranylated precursor 5 by a series of cannabinoid-like oxidative rearrangements.  相似文献

Five geranyl dihydrochalcones, 1-(2,4-dihydroxyphenyl)-3-{4-hydroxy-6,6,9-trimethyl-6a,7,8,10a-tetrahydro-6H-dibenzo[b,d]pyran-5-yl}-1-propanone (2), 1-(2,4-dihydroxyphenyl)-3-[3,4-dihydro-3,8-dihydroxy-2-methyl-2-(4-methyl-3-pentenyl)-2H-1-benzopyran-5-yl]-1-propanone (4), 1-(2,4-dihydroxyphenyl)-3-[8-hydroxy-2-methyl-2-(3,4-epoxy-4-methyl-1-pentenyl)-2H-1-benzopyran-5-yl]-1-propanone (5), 1-(2,4-dihydroxyphenyl)-3-[8-hydroxy-2-methyl-2-(4-hydroxy-4-methyl-2-pentenyl)-2H-1-benzopyran-5-yl]-1-propanone (8), and 2-[6-hydroxy-3,7-dimethylocta-2(E),7-dienyl]-2',3,4,4'-tetrahydroxydihydrochalcone (9), along with four known geranyl flavonoids (1, 3, 6, 7), were isolated from the leaves of Artocarpus altilis. Their structures were established by spectroscopic means and by comparison with the literature values. Compounds 2, 4, and 9 exhibited moderate cytotoxicity against SPC-A-1, SW-480, and SMMC-7721 human cancer cells.  相似文献

In addition to nerolidol, 2',6'-dihydroxy-4'-methoxydihydrochalcone, methyl 2,2-dimethyl-8-(3'-methyl-2'-butenyl)-2H-1-chromene-6-carboxylate, methyl 2,2-dimethyl-2H-1-chromene-6-carboxylate and methyl 8-hydroxy-2,2-dimethyl-2H-1-chromene-6-carboxylate, two new natural products were isolated from the leaves of Piper aduncum, 2,2-dimethyl-2H-1-chromene-6-carboxylic acid and 3-(3',7'-dimethyl-2',6'-octadienyl)-4-methoxybenzoic acid. The structures of the isolates were established based on analysis of spectroscopic data, including ES-MS. The DNA-damaging activity of the isolated compounds was also investigated against mutant strains of Saccharomyces cerevisiae.  相似文献

Chemical investigation of the methanol extract of the seeds of Campomanesia lineatifolia Ruiz and Pav. (Myrtaceae) led to the isolation of two new beta-triketone type compounds, named champanones A (1) and B (2), together with the known 2,3-dihydro-5-hydroxy-6,8,8-trimethyl-2-phenyl-4H-1-benzopyran-4,7(8H)-dione (champanone C) (3). The structures of 1 and 2 were determined to be 2,2,4,4-tetramethyl-6-(1-oxo-3-phenylprop-2-enyl) cyclohexane-1,3,5-trione (occurs as an enol form) and 2,2,4-trimethyl-6-(1-oxo-3-phenylprop-2-enyl)cyclohexane-1,3,5-trione (occurs as an enol form), respectively, by means of spectroscopic analysis. The three compounds showed mild antimicrobial activity.  相似文献

Leaves of Piper aduncum accumulate the anti-fungal chromenes methyl 2,2-dimethyl-2H-1-chromene-6-carboxylate (1) and methyl 2,2-dimethyl-8-(3'-methyl-2'-butenyl)-2H-1-chromene-6-carboxylate (2). The enzymatic formation of 2 from dimethylallyl diphosphate and 1 was investigated using cell-free extracts of the title plant. An HPLC assay for the prenylation reaction was developed and the enzyme activity measured in the protein extracts. The prenyltransferase that catalyses the transfer of the dimethylallyl group to C-2' of 1 was soluble and required dimethylallyl diphosphate as the prenyl donor. In the leaves, the biosynthesis of the prenylated chromene 2 was time-regulated and prenyltransferase activity depended upon circadian variation. Preliminary characterisation and purification experiments on the prenyltransferase from P. aduncum have been performed.  相似文献

From the methanol extract of the aerial parts of Peperomia blanda (Piperaceae), two chromenes were isolated and characterized mainly through application of 2D-NMR spectroscopy. The structures were 2S-(4-methyl-3-pentenyl)-6-formyl-8-hydroxy-2,7-dimethyl-2H-chromene and 2S-(4-methyl-3-pentenyl)-5-hydroxy-6-formyl-2,7-dimethyl-2H-chromene named as blandachromenes I and II, respectively.  相似文献

Chemical investigation of the methanol extract of the viscous secretion on the surface of immature fruits of Paulownia tomentosa furnished nine geranylated flavanones, 6-geranyl-5,7-dihydroxy-3',4'-dimethoxyflavanone (1), 6-geranyl-3',5,7-trihydroxy-4'-methoxyflavanone (2), 6-geranyl-4',5,7-trihydroxy-3',5'-dimethoxyflavanone (3), 6-geranyl-4',5,5',7-tetrahydroxy-3'-methoxyflavanone (4), 6-geranyl-3,3',5,7-tetrahydroxy-4'-methoxyflavanone (5), 4',5,5',7-tetrahydroxy-6-[6-hydroxy-3,7-dimethyl-2(E),7-octadienyl]-3'-methoxyflavanone (6), 3,3',4',5,7-pentahydroxy-6-[6-hydroxy-3,7-dimethyl-2(E),7-octadienyl]flavanone (7), 3,3',4',5,7-pentahydroxy-6-[7-hydroxy-3,7-dimethyl-2(E)-octenyl]flavanone (8), and 3,4',5,5',7-pentahydroxy-3'-methoxy-6-(3-methyl-2-butenyl)flavanone (9), along with six known geranylated flavanones. Among these, compounds 4, 6-9 and the known 6-geranyl-3',4',5,7-tetraahydroxyflavanone (diplacone), 6-geranyl-3,3',4',5,7-pentahydroxyflavanone (diplacol) and 3',4',5,7-pentahydroxy-6-[7-hydroxy-3,7-dimethyl-2(E)-octenyl]flavanone showed potent radical scavenging effects towards DPPH radicals.  相似文献

The combined hexane/CH(2)Cl(2) extract of the stem bark of Teclea gerrardii (Rutaceae: Toddalioideae) has yielded two acridone alkaloids, 3-hydroxy-1-methoxy-N-methylacridone (tegerrardin A) (1) and 3-hydroxy-N-methyl-1-(gamma,gamma-dimethylallyloxy)acridone (tegerrardin B) (2), three known acridones (3-5), two known furoquinolines (6,7), and the acridone precursor tecleanone (8). Arborinine (3) and evoxine (6) displayed moderate antiplasmodial activity against the CQS D10 strain of Plasmodium falciparum, with IC(50) values of 12.3 and 24.5 microM, respectively.  相似文献

Eleven homoisoflavonoids and two xanthones were isolated and characterized from the bulbs of Ledebouria graminifolia. Five of the homoisoflavonoids are new compounds and were identified as: 5-hydroxy-7-methoxy-3-(4'-hydroxybenzyl)-4-chromanone, 5-hydroxy-6,7-dimethoxy-3-(4'-hydroxybenzyl)-4-chromanone, 5,7,8-trimethoxy-3-(4'-hydroxybenzyl)-4-chromanone, 5-hydroxy-3',4',7-trimethoxyspiro[2H-1-benzopyran-7'-bicyclo[4.2.0]octa-trien]-4-one, 5,7-dihydroxy-3',4'-dimethoxyspiro[2H-1-benzopyran-7'-bicyclo[4.2.0]octa-trien]-4-one. Structures were elucidated by extensive 1D, and 2D NMR spectroscopy and HRMS. A method for tissue culture was developed and the bulbs of mature plants were found to contain all the compounds isolated from the wild specimens of L. graminifolia.  相似文献

Antifungal activity guided fractionation of the n-butanol extract from the methanol extract of the leaves of Artocarpus nobilis furnished 2',4',4-trihydroxy-3'-geranylchalcone (1), 2 ',4',4-trihydroxy-3'-[6-hydroxy-3,7-dimethyl-2(E),7-octadienyl]chalcone (2), 2',4',4-trihydroxy-3'-[2-hydroxy-7-methyl-3-methylene-6-octaenyl]chalcone (3), 2',3,4,4'-tetrahydroxy-3'-geranylchalcone (4), 2',3,4,4'-tetrahydroxy-3'-[6-hydroxy-3,7-dimethyl-2(E),7-octadienyl]chalcone (5). The chalcones 3 and 5 are new natural products whereas 1 and 2 are reported first time from the family Moraceae. All these compounds showed good fungicidal activity against Cladosporium cladosporioides and high radical scavenging activity towards the 2,2'-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) radical in TLC bio-autography method.  相似文献

The structure of 6 was deduced from NMR and mass spectral data and confirmed by X-ray crystallography. The configuration at C-5 in 2-5 was confirmed by establishing the 5S configuration of 3 by X-ray crystallography. Conformations of the six- and five-membered rings in 3 and 6 are also discussed.  相似文献

A monoprenylated flavan and two monoterpenoid substituted furanocoumarins were isolated from the twigs of Dorstenia elliptica along with 3-(3,3-dimethylallyl)-4,2',4'-trihydroxylchalcone, psoralen, bergapten, O-[3-(2,2-dimethyl-3-oxo-2H-furan-5-yl)butyl]bergaptol, beta-sitosterol and its beta-D-glucopyranoside. The structure of the flavan was determined as 6(1,1-dimethylallyl)-7,4'-dihydroxylflavan and the monoterpenoid substituted furanocoumarins were assigned as O-[3-(2,2-dimethyl-3-oxo-2H-furan-5-yl)-3-hydroxybutyl]-bergaptol and O-[2-(5-hydroxy-2,6,6-trimethyl-3-oxo-2H-pyran-2-yl)ethyl]bergaptol, respectively, using spectroscopic analysis, especially, 2D NMR spectra.  相似文献

The new triterpene Delta1-lupenone (1), together with lupeol, beta-amyrin and betulin were isolated from the wood of Byrsonima microphylla (Malpighiaceae). The new compounds 3-hydroxy-2-methoxy-8,8,10-trimethyl-8H-antracen-1,4,5-trione (2), 3,7-dihydroxy-2-methoxy-8,8,10-trimethyl-7,8-dihydro-6H-antracen-1,4,5-trione (3), (2S*,10aR*)-2,8-dihydroxy-6-methoxy-1,1,7-trimethyl-2,3,10, 10a-tetrahydro-1H-fenantren-9-one (4) and (2S,3S)-3'-hydroxy-4',5,7-trimethoxy-flavan-3-ol (5) were also isolated through monitored TLC using the antioxidant beta-carotene reagent. The antioxidant potential of the compounds 2-5 was measured and none of them showed activity. The structures of these compounds were elucidated by chemical and spectroscopic analysis based on NMR techniques (1H, 13C NMR, COSY, nOe difference, HMQC and HMBC), UV and MS.  相似文献

Five new flavonoid C-glucosides, 6-hydroxy-2-(4-hydroxybenzyl)-benzofuran-7-C-beta-d-glucopyranoside (1), 3-(alpha-methoxy-4-hydroxybenzylidene)-6-hydroxybenzo-2(3H)-furanone-7-C-beta-d-glucopyranoside (2), 2-hydroxy-2-p-hydroxybenzyl-3(2H)-6-hydroxybenzofuranone-7-C-beta-d-glucopyranoside (4), 8-(C-beta-d-glucopyranosyl)-7,3',4'-trihydroxyflavone (5) and 1,2-bis(2,4-dihydroxy,3-C-glucopyranosyl)-ethanedione (6) and two known compounds C-beta-d-glucopyranosyl-2,6-dihydroxyl benzene (7) and sesquiterpene (8), were isolated from an aqueous extract of the heartwood of Pterocarpus marsupium. Using techniques previously employed to identify ginger constituents in fresh organically grown Hawaiian white and yellow ginger varieties, partially purified fractions derived from the silica gel column chromatography and HPLC of a methylene chloride extract of commercially processed dry ginger, Zingiber officinale Roscoe, Zingiberaceae, which demonstrated remarkable anti-inflammatory activity, were investigated by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. In all, 115 compounds were identified, 88 with retention times (R(t)) >21 min and 27 with <21 min. Of those 88 compounds, 45 were previously reported by us from fresh ginger, 12 are cited elsewhere in the literature and the rest (31) are new: methyl [8]-paradol, methyl [6]-isogingerol, methyl [4]-shogaol, [6]-isoshogaol, two 6-hydroxy-[n]-shogaols (n=8 and 10), 6-dehydro-[6]-gingerol, three 5-methoxy-[n]-gingerols (n=4, 8 and 10), 3-acetoxy-[4]-gingerdiol, 5-acetoxy-[6]-gingerdiol (stereoisomer), diacetoxy-[8]-gingerdiol, methyl diacetoxy-[8]-gingerdiol, 6-(4'-hydroxy-3'-methoxyphenyl)-2-nonyl-2-hydroxytetrahydropyran, 3-acetoxydihydro-[6]-paradol methyl ether, 1-(4'-hydroxy-3'-methoxyphenyl)-2-nonadecen-1-one and its methyl ether derivative, 1,7-bis-(4'-hydroxy-3'-methoxyphenyl)-5-methoxyheptan-3-one, 1,7-bis-(4'-hydroxy-3'-methoxyphenyl)-3-hydroxy-5-acetoxyheptane, acetoxy-3-dihydrodemethoxy-[6]-shogaol, 5-acetoxy-3-deoxy-[6]-gingerol, 1-hydroxy-[6]-paradol, (2E)-geranial acetals of [4]- and [6]-gingerdiols, (2Z)-neral acetal of [6]-gingerdiol, acetaldehyde acetal of [6]-gingerdiol, 1-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)-2,4-dehydro-6-decanone and the cyclic methyl orthoesters of [6]- and [10]-gingerdiols. Of the 27 R(t)<21 min compounds, we had found 5 from fresh ginger, 20 others were found elsewhere in the literature, and two are new: 5-(4'-hydroxy-3'-methoxyphenyl)-pent-2-en-1-al and 5-(4'-hydroxy-3'-methoxyphenyl)-3-hydroxy-1-pentanal. Most of the short R(t) compounds are probably formed by thermal degradation during GC (which mimics cooking) and/or commercial drying. The concentrations of gingerols, the major constituents of fresh ginger, were reduced slightly in dry ginger, while the concentrations of shogaols, the major gingerol dehydration products, increased.  相似文献

Two alkaloids N-methyl-4-hydroxy-7-methoxy-3-(2,3-epoxy-3-methylbutyl)-1H-quinolin-2-one (1) and 3-(2,3-dihydroxy-3-methylbutyl)-4,7-dimethoxy-1-methyl-1H-quinolin-2-one (2a) have been isolated from CH(2)Cl(2):methanol (1:1) and methanol extracts of leaves and stems of Toddalia aculeata. Their structures along with that of 15 other compounds, of which three are isolated for the first time from genus Toddalia, were established by their detailed spectral studies including 2D NMR viz. (1)H-(1)H COSY, (1)H-(13)C COSY, and HMBC.  相似文献

The constituents of cape aloe were investigated after a preliminary screening of the growth-inhibiting effect on Ehrlich ascites tumor cells (EATC) of several extracts of this plant. Ten compounds were isolated from the dichloromethane (CH(2)Cl(2)) extract that showed the strongest activity, and their structures were elucidated as aloe-emodin (1), p-hydroxybenzaldehyde (2), p-hydroxyacetophenone (3), pyrocatechol (4), 10-oxooctadecanoic acid (5), 10-hydroxyoctadecanoic acid (6), methyl 10-hydroxyoctadecanoate (7), 7-hydroxy-2,5-dimethylchromone (8), furoaloesone (9), and 2-acetonyl-8-(2-furoylmethyl)-7-hydroxy-5-methylchromone (10) based on MS and various NMR spectroscopic techniques. Compounds 2-7 were isolated for the first time from cape aloe. Compounds 4-7 and 10 showed a significant growth-inhibiting effect, and compound 1 exhibited a remarkable synergistic effect on compounds 8-10, which was not observed with the treatment by each compound alone on EATC. These results suggest that the strong growth-inhibiting effect of the CH(2)Cl(2) extract was dependent not on one compound alone, but on the synergistic effect from the combination of compound 1 and the other compounds.  相似文献

The twigs of Dorstenia barteri var. subtriangularis yielded three diprenylated chalcones: (-)-3-(3,3-dimethylallyl)-5'-(2-hydroxy-3-methylbut-3-enyl)-4,2',4'-trihydroxychalcone, (+)-3-(3,3-dimethylallyl)-4',5'-[2'-(1-hydroxy-1-methylethyl)-dihydrofurano]-4,2'-dihydroxychalcone and 3,4-(6",6"-dimethyldihydropyrano)-4',5'-[2',-(1-hydroxy-1-methylethyl)-dihydrofurano]-2'-hydroxychalcone for which the names bartericins A, B and C, respectively, are proposed. Stipulin, beta-sitosterol and its 3-beta-D-glucopyranosyl derivative were also isolated. The structures of these secondary metabolites were determined on the basis of spectroscopic analysis, especially, NMR spectra in conjunction with 2D experiments, COSY, HMQC and HMBC. The structural relationship of bartericins B and C was further established by the chemical cyclization of one to the other.  相似文献
