As part of ongoing research on the chemical composition and the antimicrobial properties of Burkinabe plants essential oils alone and in combination, essential oils (EOs) from leaves of Cymbopogon citratus and Cymbopogon giganteus from Burkina Faso were analyzed by GC-FID and GC-MS. Five constituents, which accounted for 96.3% of the oil, were identified in the EO of C. citratus. Geranial (48.1%), neral (34.6%) and myrcene (11.0%) were the major constituents. For C. giganteus a total of eight compounds were identified which represented 86.0% of the oils extracted. The dominant compounds were limonene (42%) and a set of monoterpene alcohols: trans-p-mentha-1(7),8-dien-2-ol (14.2%), cis-p-mentha-1(7),8-dien-2-ol (12%), trans-p-mentha-2,8-dien-1-ol (5.6%) and cis-p-mentha-2,8-dien-1-ol (5.2%). The EOs were tested against nine bacteria by using disc diffusion and microdilution methods. C. giganteus EO showed antimicrobial effects against all microorganisms tested whereas C. citratus EO failed to inhibit Pseudomonas aeruginosa. The antimicrobial activity of combinations of the two EOs was quantified by the checkerboard method. Combinations of the two EOs exerted synergistic, additive and indifferent antimicrobial effects. Results of the present investigation provide evidence that the combinations of plant EOs could be assessed for synergistic activity in order to reduce their minimum effective dose.  相似文献

用水蒸气蒸馏法从曼陀罗中提取挥发油,并用气相色谱/质谱联用技术(GC-MS)对挥发油的化学成分进行分离鉴定,用气相色谱峰面积归一化法确定各组分的相对含量.结果从曼陀罗挥发油中鉴定出58种化合物,占总挥发油量的92.37%.其中主要成分为5,6-二氢-6-戊基-2H-吡喃-2-酮(44.29%)、二苯胺(12.50%)、四十四烷(10.41%)、二十烷(4.19%)、(E)-3-己烯-1-醇(2.38%)、3,7,11,15-四甲基-2-十六碳烯-1-醇(2.28%)等.  相似文献

采用水蒸气蒸馏法从野生蜂窝草籽中提取挥发油,利用气相色谱-质谱联用技术对其挥发油中的化学组分进行分离和结构鉴定,运用气相色谱面积归一化法确定各个组分的相对百分含量。从蜂窝草籽挥发油中鉴出56种成分,主要组分是油酸(12.57%),棕榈酸(10.36%),1-辛烯-3-醇(7.96%),石竹烯(5.98%),2,4,6-三甲基-1,3,6-庚三烯(5.63%)等。对蜂窝草籽挥发油进行了抗氧化实验和抗菌实验,结果表明蜂窝草籽挥发油对.OH有明显的清除作用,蜂窝草籽挥发油对实验菌株均有明显的抑制和灭活作用特别是对大肠杆菌ATCC25922株和肠炎沙门菌50040株的抗菌活性表现得更为显著。  相似文献

Volatile constituents and a hexane extract of the leaves of Halimium voldii Kit Tan, Perdetzoglou & Raus, sp. nova, were analyzed by GC and GC-MS. Thirty compounds were identified in the essential oil of Halimium representing 88.7% of the oil composition. The main components were nonanal (12.8%), dodecane (10.6%), Z-caryophyllene (8.2%), gamma-muurolene (10.9%), delta-cadidene (3.5%), caryophyllene oxide (5.1%), beta-eudesmol (3.6%) and manoyl oxide (5.5%). Thymol was identified in the hexane extract as the main compound. A labdane diterpene ent-labd-7, 13 (E)-dien, 15-ol was detected by its mass spectra fragmentation pattern and its structure was determined by spectroscopic methods and its optical rotation. The essential oil and the hexane extract were assayed for their antimicrobial activity against gram (+) and gram (-) bacteria.  相似文献

Oil quantity and quality were measured for the cotyledon leaves of the commercial terpinen-4-ol chemical variety of Melaleuca alternifolia. Oil yield obtained by ethanolic extraction was 3.8 micrograms per leaf or 2.6% (dry weight basis). The major components of the oil were alpha-pinene (7.4%), beta-pinene (12.0%) and terpinolene (27.3%). The non-commercial terpinolene chemical variety was found to be rich in 1,8-cineole (12.5%) and terpinolene (25.4%). The non-commercial 1,8-cineole chemical variety was rich in 1,8-cineole (37%) with significant quantities of alpha-pinene (15.5%), beta-pinene (23.3%) and terpinolene (10.9%). The cotyledon leaf composition, when compared with that of mature leaf from the same chemical variety, was found to be biased toward pinene and terpinolene biogenetic pathway constituents and hence not a good indicator of mature tree quality especially for the commercial terpinen-4-ol chemical variety. The implications of these analyses for the determination of M. alternifolia plantation quality and the understanding of oil formation, are discussed.  相似文献

The chemical components of the essential oil from Artemisia feddei LEV. et VNT. were analyzed using GC-MS. Ninety-nine compounds, accounting for 96.23% of the extracted essential oil, were identified. The main oil compounds were 1,8-cineole (16.86%), chamazulene (9.04%), alpha-terpineol (8.18%), alpha-phellandrene (5.78%), alpha-thujone (5.51%), alpha-terpinyl acetate (5.07%), borneol (5.08%), beta- caryophyllene (4.71%), camphor (4.04%), and terpinen-4-ol (3.04%). The antimicrobial activity of the essential oil and some of its compounds was tested against 15 different genera of oral bacteria. The essential oil from A. feddei had a considerable inhibitory effect on all the obligate anaerobic bacteria tested (MICs, 0.025 to 0.05 mg/ml; MBCs, 0.025 to 0.1mg/ml), whereas the major compounds demonstrated different degrees of growth inhibition.  相似文献

广西宜州产红丝线(Peristrop he baphica)有浓烈香气。为明确其挥发油化学成分,采用气相色谱-质谱联用分析方法,对红丝线挥发油进行分析,共鉴定了其中的31个组分,占精油总量的99.42%。主要成分为香豆素(53.66%),二氢香豆酮(9.18%),1-辛烯-3-醇(10.00%),反-3-己烯-1-醇(5.85%),3-辛醇(3·86%),苯甲醇(1.69%),芳樟醇(1.22%),邻甲苯甲醛(5.37%),对乙烯基愈创木酚(3.96%)。  相似文献

Terpenes and aroma volatiles from rhizomes of Rhodiola rosea L. from Norway have been isolated by both steam distillation and headspace solid-phase micro-extraction coupled with gas chromatography and mass spectrometry analysis. The dried rhizomes contained 0.05% essential oil with the main chemical classes: monoterpene hydrocarbons (25.40%), monoterpene alcohols (23.61%) and straight chain aliphatic alcohols (37.54%). n-Decanol (30.38%), geraniol (12.49%) and 1,4-p-menthadien-7-ol (5.10%) were the most abundant volatiles detected in the essential oil, and a total of 86 compounds were identified in both the SD and HS-SPME samples. Geraniol was identified as the most important rose-like odour compound besides geranyl formate, geranyl acetate, benzyl alcohol and phenylethyl alcohol. Floral notes such as linalool and its oxides, nonanal, decanal, nerol and cinnamyl alcohol highlight the flowery scent of rose root rhizomes.  相似文献

Three amides, N-salicyloyl-2-aminopropan-1,3-diol (1) and 1-acetyl-N-salicyloyl-2-aminopropan-3-ol (2) including a natural product, N-salicyloyl-2-aminopropan-1-ol (3) were isolated from an ethyl acetate extract of the culture filtrate of Streptomyces hygroscopicus [corrected] The structures of these compounds were unambiguously established by interpretation of their spectral data including, a series of 1D and 2D-NMR and MS analyses. Compounds 1-3 showed significant antibacterial activity against a wide range of Gram positive and Gram negative bacteria.  相似文献
