A new subspecies, Delphinium pentagynum subsp. formsnteranum N. Torres, L. Sáez, Rosselló & C. Blanché, is described from the island of Formentera (pytiusic Islands, Balearic archipelago). The new plant differs typical D. pentagynum by the narrower sepals and smaller size of the corolla, spur, and follicles. Both D. pentagynum subsp. pentagynum and D. pentagynum subsp. formenteranum have 2n= 16 chromosomes and share similar karyotypes. The new taxon is regarded as a schizoendemic and dry island vicariant of Iberian and North African populations of D. pentagynum subsp. pentagynum which probably evolved under insular isolation. After revision of its conservation status, it should be considered as critically endangered (CR) following the IUCN criteria. 相似文献

Primulina elegans (Gesneriaceae), a new species from Vietnam is described. This species is similar to P. gemella and P. diffusa in having stolons and papillose-hispid leaves, but is easily distinguished from them by having 9–15 cymes and corollas with two brown stripes on the adaxial lip and nine purplish lines on the abaxial lip. The histological components of the leaf were studied in dried herbarium material of the three Origanum vulgare subspecies (subsp. hirtum , subsp. viridulum and subsp. vulgare ) grown wild in Greece. These three, geographically distinct, taxa showed remarkable differences in their leaves. The leaves of subsp. hirtum grown in the Mediterranean climatic zone of Greece are characterized by thick cutinized outer walls of the epidermal cells and a thick mesophyll with highly developed chlorophyllous tissues. Peltate glandular trichomes and stomata are numerous on bom leaf surfaces. The thickness of the mesophyll decreases in the other two subspecies grown in the northern part of the country, where a Continental type of climate occurs. The number of glandular trichomes and stomata also decreases. Besides these differences, a noticeable reduction in the size of the essential oil-accumulating subcuticular chamber of the glandular trichomes and in the number of the peribasal cells, has also been recorded in die plants of subsp. vulgare and viridulum. 相似文献

Prunus pananensis Z. L. Chen, W. J. Chen & X. F. Jin, a new species of Rosaceae from central Zhejiang, China is described and illustrated. Micromorphological characters of the indumentum on young shoots, leaves, petioles and peduncles, including scanning electron microscope [SEM] images, are provided. This new species is morphologically similar to P. schneiderianae Koehne in having its young shoots, petioles and pedicels all densely villose, but differs in having bracts persistent, styles glabrous, stipules 8–9 mm long, stamens 28–30 of per flower, and drupes glabrous. The new species is also similar to P. discoidea (Yü & C. L. Li) Yü & C. L. Li ex Z. Wei & Y. B. Chang in having 2 or 3 flowers in an umbellate inflorescence, and bracts persistent and marginally glandular, but it differs in having young shoots and petioles densely covered with yellowish-brown villose trichomes; leaves rounded or slightly cordate at base, the mid-ribs and lateral veins abaxially densely covered with yellowish-brown villose trichomes; and hypanthium ca. 3 mm long, shorter than sepals. The atpB-rbcL and trnL-F intergenic chloroplast spacers are selected for identification of the new and its similar species. 相似文献
