测定了低温处理后热带火蚁Solenopsis geminata(Fabricius)工蚁的存活情况以评价其耐寒能力.热带火蚁工蚁低温下的存活率(S)T与低温暴露温度T和暴露时间t之间的关系均符合逻辑斯缔曲线方程.当处理时间为0.5 h,热带火蚁在-8℃时存活率为5.33%;当处理时间为1 h、2 h和4 h,工蚁在处理温度分别为-9℃、-8℃和-8℃才可全部致死.当处理温度为-7℃,需要经过14 h工蚁才全部死亡,在-8℃,需要35min.结果表明,热带火蚁工蚁在低温暴露0.5 h条件下LTP50和LTP90为-7.39℃和-7.85℃,相差0.46℃;当暴露时间为4h时,热带火蚁工蚁的致死敏感高温区为-7.15℃~-7.54℃,相差仅为0.39℃.当热带火蚁工蚁暴露于-7℃的低温时,LT50和LY90分别为8.54 h和13.77 h;而当暴露于-8℃的的低温时,LT50和LT90分别为8.74 min和19.14 min.  相似文献

以活动蚁巢减退率和工蚁减退率为指标,评价红火蚁克星(Ⅳ型)、灭蚁威、火蚁净、蚁净安和灭蚁蝗等5种药剂对红火蚁的防治效果。结果表明,不同药剂间防治效果存在差异,其中药后21 d,红火蚁克星(Ⅳ型)和灭蚁威饵剂均具有很好的防治效果,对蚁巢防效和活动工蚁的防治效果均达90.0%以上。建议采用上述两种药剂进行轮换使用,从而延缓红火蚁产生抗药性。  相似文献

【目的】本研究旨在分析红火蚁Solenopsis invicta毒腺细菌群落多样性,并与热带火蚁Solenopsis geminata和聚纹双刺猛蚁Diacamma rugosum比较毒腺细菌群落差异。【方法】采用Illumine Hiseq 2500测序平台对红火蚁(工蚁、有翅蚁和蚁后)、热带火蚁(工蚁)及聚纹双刺猛蚁(工蚁)毒腺细菌群落16S rRNA基因V3-V4区测序,基于测序数据进行生物信息学分析。【结果】变形菌门(Proteobacteria)在红火蚁工蚁、有翅蚁和蚁后以及热带火蚁工蚁毒腺中占优势,而厚壁菌门(Firmicutes)在聚纹双刺猛蚁工蚁毒腺中占优势。与红火蚁工蚁和有翅蚁相比,柔壁菌门(Tenericutes)在红火蚁蚁后毒腺中更丰富。广州红火蚁蚁后毒腺中假单胞杆菌Pseudomonas相对丰度显著高于其在有翅蚁及工蚁中的。螺原体Spiroplasma相对丰度在热带火蚁毒腺中显著高于在聚纹双刺猛蚁工蚁毒腺中的。毒腺中细菌多样性分析发现,芽孢杆菌属Bacillus和乳酸杆菌属Lactobacillus在广西红火蚁工蚁中的相对丰度显著高于在广州红火蚁工蚁中的。然而,乳酸杆菌属细菌在聚纹双刺猛蚁工蚁毒腺中的相对丰度显著高于广西的热带火蚁工蚁毒腺中的。【结论】毒腺细菌组成和多样性在3种不同种类蚂蚁工蚁和红火蚁不同品级中存在差异。  相似文献

[背景[白僵菌是一种应用最广泛的虫生真菌,已被用于工厂化大量生产,可防治多种农林害虫。[方法]试验设置17、21、25、29和33℃5个温度水平,采用喷雾法,将浓度为1×105和1×108个·mL-1的白僵菌孢子悬浮液分别感染红火蚁工蚁,以测试不同温度下白僵菌菌株对红火蚁工蚁的致病力。[结果]当浓度为1×108个·mL-1时,在21、25和29℃条件下,红火蚁工蚁在15 d的累计死亡率均达到了100%,在17和33℃下分别为99.36%和98.74%。当浓度为1×105个·mL-1时,在21、25、29和33℃下,红火蚁工蚁在15 d的累计死亡率分别为29.42%、36.18%、33.17%和27.21%,显著高于17℃的累计死亡率。2个浓度处理在17~25℃时,白僵菌对红火蚁工蚁的致死中时(LT50)随着温度的升高而缩短,当温度为29和33℃时,红火蚁的LT50不减少反而增加。25℃时白僵菌Bb04菌株对红火蚁工蚁的LT50最短,死亡速度最快,致病力最强。[结论与意义]该研究可为制定田间利用白僵菌防治红火蚁的最佳时期奠定基础。  相似文献

【目的】为了探讨入侵火蚁在我国成功定殖及其之间的竞争机制。【方法】运用行为学方法研究红火蚁Solenopsis invicta(Buren)和热带火蚁Solenopsis geminata(Fabricius)在个体水平和群体水平上的攻击性、攻击手段及合作能力。【结果】一对一攻击试验中,红火蚁和热带火蚁之间攻击级别多集中在3级,两种入侵蚂蚁间以相互威胁为主;红火蚁大型工蚁与热带火蚁兵、工蚁间最为好斗,其攻击级别达到4级的比例最高,分别为33.04%、37.92%。热带火蚁兵蚁与各型红火蚁间攻击强度差异不显著;热带火蚁工蚁与红火蚁小型工蚁之间的攻击性最强,其攻击性(3.49)显著高于热带火蚁工蚁与红火蚁大、中型工蚁的攻击性(3.32和2.97)。在攻击手段上,3级打斗时各型红火蚁更倾向以物理攻击主动威胁热带火蚁,而热带火蚁兵、工蚁会采取多种方式主动攻击红火蚁,双方皆以躲避应对为主;4级打斗时两种火蚁主要以混合攻击为主动或应对手段。群体攻击试验显示,红火蚁群体间攻击强度和合作性会随着群体数量的增加而显著增加,热带火蚁合作性较差,其群体对抗红火蚁的优势仅仅是由于个体数量的增加。【结论】红火蚁比热带火蚁具有更强的竞争优势。研究结果为入侵蚂蚁间不对称竞争机制和长期群落替代的内在原因提供理论基础。  相似文献

在实验室条件下采用浸渍法测定了15株白僵菌Beauveria spp.,15株绿僵菌Metarhizium spp.和4株淡紫紫孢菌Purpureocillium lilacinum (Thom)对红火蚁Solenopsis invicta Buren工蚁的活性,并测定分析了高活性菌株对红火蚁工蚁的毒力。结果表明,以1.0×10^8孢子mL的浓度处理红火蚁工蚁后第10天,白僵菌HHY-B、LCM1、ZYSYE-Y2、Bb034、ZG5、Bb720、Bb040、CP728和淡紫紫孢菌LYC1菌株的活性较强,红火蚁工蚁的校正死亡率为84.70%~98.79%,僵虫率为70.61%~90.38%。红火蚁工蚁在接种不同浓度的高活性菌株后,随着孢子浓度的升高,红火蚁的累积校正死亡率和僵虫率增大,致死中时(LT50)缩短,第10天白僵菌ZYSYE-Y2、CP728、HHY-B、LCM1、ZG5、Bb040、Bb720、Bb034和淡紫紫孢菌LCM1菌株对红火蚁工蚁的LC50分别为1.16×10^5、1.49×10^5、2.27×10^5、2.28×10^5、2.32×10^5、3.79×10^5、4.94×10^5、8.47×10^5和3.90×10^6孢子/mL。当孢子浓度为1.0×10^7孢子/mL时,白僵菌HHY-B、CP728、ZG5和Bb040菌株处理的最终校正死亡率分别为91.54%、94.60%、91.23%和94.65%,僵虫率为82.51%、91.74%、85.43%和80.60%,致死中时(LT50)为4.22 d、4.07 d、3.72 d和3.68 d。综合分析表明,白僵菌HHY-B、CP728、ZG5和Bb040菌株对红火蚁工蚁具有较强的活性,可作为红火蚁生物防治的候选菌株  相似文献

红火蚁Solenopsis invicta是世界上最具破坏力和威胁性的入侵检疫害虫之一,对农林业生产安全、公共设施以及人体健康都造成了巨大影响。为筛选对红火蚁有致病性的病原真菌,本研究通过组织分离法对自然罹病的红火蚁进行致病菌分离,结合病原形态学及分子生物学的方法对病原真菌进行鉴定并采用喷雾法测定了病原真菌对红火蚁的致病力。结果表明:从罹病红火蚁上分离出3株病原真菌HHYSFJ01、HHYSFJ02和HHYSFJ05,分别为红绶曲霉Aspergillus nomius、淡紫拟青霉Purpureocillium lilacinum和球孢白僵菌Beauveria bassiana。致病性测定,这3株病原菌对红火蚁均具有较强的致病性,且3株病原菌致病性间差异显著。经1.0×10^8孢子/mL孢子悬浮液喷雾处理红火蚁10 d后,球孢白僵菌菌株HHYSFJ05的致病性最强,红火蚁工蚁的校正死亡率为84.71%,LT50为4.67 d;红绶曲霉菌株HHYSFJ01和淡紫拟青霉菌株HHYSFJ02次之,红火蚁工蚁的校正死亡率分别为78.82%和73.29%,LT50分别为4.99 d和5.20 d。  相似文献

本文研究呋虫胺对红火蚁Solenopsis invicta Buren中型工蚁的毒杀活性及爬杆能力、抓附能力、行走能力、攻击能力等行为影响。以水试管喂毒法对红火蚁进行试验。结果表明,1 mg/L和5 mg/L呋虫胺处理13 h后,红火蚁中型工蚁校正死亡率分别为55.56%、97.78%,0 mg/L、1 mg/L和5 mg/L呋虫胺处理9 h后,红火蚁中型工蚁爬杆率分别为100.00%、45.56%和7.78%,抓附率分别为100.00%、33.33%和15.56%,行走率为100.00%、42.22%和25.56%,攻击率为100.00%、36.67%和0.00%。呋虫胺对红火蚁中型工蚁具有良好毒杀活性和行为影响,在红火蚁防控上具有良好应用前景。  相似文献

Invasive ants threaten biodiversity, ecosystem services and agricultural systems. This study evaluated a prey‐baiting approach for managing Argentine ants in natural habitat invaded by Argentine ants. Blackmound termites (Amitermes hastatus) were topically exposed to fipronil and presented to Argentine ants (Linepithema humile). In laboratory assays, L. humile colonies were offered fipronil‐treated termites within experimental arenas. The termites were readily consumed, and results demonstrate that a single termite topically treated with 590 ng fipronil is capable of killing at least 500 L. humile workers in 4 days. Field studies were conducted in natural areas invaded by L. humile. Fipronil‐treated termites scattered within experimental plots provided rapid control of L. humile and ant densities throughout the treated plots declined by 98 ± 5% within 21 days. Results demonstrate that the prey‐baiting approach is highly effective against L. humile and may offer an effective alternative to traditional bait treatments. Furthermore, prey‐baiting offers environmental benefits by delivering substantially less toxicant to the environment relative to current control methods which rely on commercial bait formulations and may offer greater target specificity.  相似文献

Topical and oral toxicity of fipronil, compared to chlorpyrifos, was determined for the German cockroach, Blattella germanica (L.), and American cockroach, Periplaneta americana (L.). Fipronil and Combat bait matrices were evaluated for their attractancies to both species. In the topical toxicity tests, LD50's of fipronil, at 72 h after topical application, were 0.03 and 0.02 µg/g for adult B. germanica and P. americana, respectively. Fipronil was significantly more toxic than topically applied chlorpyrifos (LD50's were 0.06 and 0.16 µg/g for B. germanica and P. americana, respectively). The oral toxicity of fipronil and chlorpyrifos in Petri dish experiments, against both species, was affected by stage (for B. germanica), diet concentration, and feeding assay. Fipronil caused higher mortality of B. germanica than chlorpyrifos in two feeding assays (continuous and abbreviated). Both compounds were equally toxic to adult males of P. americana at all rates. Fipronil caused higher nymphal mortality than chlorpyrifos 48–72 h after exposure in both feeding assays. In large population chamber tests, fipronil bait was more effective and faster in killing P. americana than Raid and Combat. LT50's were 0.8, 2.4, and 7.6 d for fipronil, Raid (a.i. = chlorpyrifos), and Combat (a.i. = hydramethylnon) baits, respectively. Mortality reached 96.5, 93.4, and 84.6%, respectively, at the end of the 14 d test. In the bait attractancy tests, both strains of B. germanica were attracted similarly to fipronil and Combat bait matrices. P. americana were attracted more to fipronil than to Combat bait matrix or to other alternative foods.  相似文献

Toxicity of fipronil was evaluated against field-collected Coptoteres formosanus Shiraki. In topical application assays, fipronil was highly effective against both workers and soldiers at very low doses. Acute toxicity after 24 h was significantly greater in workers than in soldiers. The LD50s were 2.59- and 2.91-fold greater with soldiers than with workers from the two tested colonies. The LD50s of fipronil at 72 h after treatment were <2.0 ng/insect, with no significant differences regarding the tested workers/soldiers or colonies. Treated soldiers placed with untreated workers significantly increased worker mortality. However, there was no significant horizontal transmission of fipronil from treated workers to untreated soldiers. Fipronil at rates of 0.063% or less showed no repellency, whereas sand treatments of 0.125% fipronil were repellent to termite workers.  相似文献

Repellency and toxicity of 2% mint oil granules were evaluated against worker red imported fire ants. Solenopsis invicta Buren, in a series of laboratory and field experiments. In continuous exposure experiments, LT50 values ranged from 1.2 h with 164.8 mg/cm2 of 2% mint oil granules to 15.3 h with 1.65 mg/cm2 of granules. LT50 values declined exponentially with increasing rate of mint oil granules. Limited exposure to 164.8 mg/cm2 mint oil granules resulted in > 50% knock down (KD) after 30 min; however, there was no KD at 15 min. Twenty-four hour mortality increased linearly with increasing exposure time. Mean repellency of worker red imported fire ants ranged from 49.2 +/- 5.4% for 0 mg/cm2 (untreated control) of mint oil granules at 30 min to 100% for 147.8 mg/cm2 of mint oil granules at 3 h. Repellency increased with increasing milligrams per square centimeter of mint oil granules and exposure time. In field tests, 100% of mounds opened and treated with mint oil granules were abandoned 5 d after treatment and ants had relocated or formed satellite mounds by 2 d after treatment. Unopened mounds treated topically with mint oil granules were not abandoned, but ants formed satellite mounds 2 d after treatment. Mint oil granules could provide another tool for red imported fire ant integrated pest management, particularly in situations in which conventional insecticides would be inappropriate.  相似文献

Brief exposures of Argentine ants to four different insecticide treatments, bifenthrin, beta-cyfluthrin, bifenthrin + beta-cyfluthrin, and fipronil, were conducted to determine Kaplan-Meier product limit survivorship percentiles (SPs) at 21-23 and 27-29 degrees C. Bifenthrin, beta-cyfluthrin, and bifenthrin + beta-cyfluthrin provided rapid kill at 21-23 degrees C with SP10 values ranging from 11.2 to 33.7 min. Fipronil provided delayed toxicity at 21-23 degrees C with SP10 values ranging from 270 to 960 min. At 27-29 degrees C, all of the SP10 values significantly decreased. Field tests in which Argentine ants were induced to forage across insecticide-treated surfaces were used to determine the effect that speed of action has on foraging and recruitment ability, and whether these insecticides are repellent. The slower-acting fipronil allowed a greater amount of foraging and consequently a greater fraction of the colony to be exposed, whereas fast-acting bifenthrin, beta-cyfluthrin, and bifenthrin + beta-cyfluthrin inhibited recruitment, resulting in fewer ants being exposed and killed. Implications for controlling ants by using perimeter barrier treatments are discussed.  相似文献

Biotic interactions are often important in the establishment and spread of invasive species. In particular, competition between introduced and native species can strongly influence the distribution and spread of exotic species and in some cases competition among introduced species can be important. The Caribbean crazy ant, Nylanderia fulva, was recently introduced to the Gulf Coast of Texas, and appears to be spreading inland. It has been hypothesized that competition with the red imported fire ant, Solenopsis invicta, may be an important factor in the spread of crazy ants. We investigated the potential of interspecific competition among these two introduced ants by measuring interspecific aggression between Caribbean crazy ant workers and workers of Solenopsis invicta. Specifically, we examined the effect of body size and diet on individual-level aggressive interactions among crazy ant workers and fire ants. We found that differences in diet did not alter interactions between crazy ant workers from different nests, but carbohydrate level did play an important role in antagonistic interactions with fire ants: crazy ants on low sugar diets were more aggressive and less likely to be killed in aggressive encounters with fire ants. We found that large fire ants engaged in fewer fights with crazy ants than small fire ants, but fire ant size affected neither fire ant nor crazy ant mortality. Overall, crazy ants experienced higher mortality than fire ants after aggressive encounters. Our findings suggest that fire ant workers might outcompete crazy ant workers on an individual level, providing some biotic resistance to crazy ant range expansion. However, this resistance may be overcome by crazy ants that have a restricted sugar intake, which may occur when crazy ants are excluded from resources by fire ants.  相似文献

Abstract. Respiratory rates of individual workers of Camponotus rufipes Fabricius (Hymenoptera: Formicidae) were measured at 25C and LD 12:12 h (lights on 06.00 hours), DL 12:12h (lights on 18.00 hours), LL (850 lux) and DD (red light, 20–30 lux), using the micro-Warburg technique. Worker ants were collected from natural nest during the winter of 1987 in a woodland park in the region of Rio Claro, Sāo Paulo, Brazil. The respiration of ants showed a circadian rhythm with acrophase ranging from 20 h 41 min to O1 h 18 min and from 10 h 32 min to 12 h 22 min at LD and DD, respectively. In constant darkness the rhythmometric variables were similar to those presented by ants kept at LD 12:12 h. Under constant light no circadian rhythm in the respiration rates was found. A reduction in the amplitude was observed, indicating an inhibitory effect of this light regime on the respiration process.  相似文献

The locomotor activity rhythm of the media workers of the ant species Camponotus compressus was monitored under constant conditions of the laboratory to understand the role of circadian clocks in social organization. The locomotor activity rhythm of most ants entrained to a 24 h light/dark (12:12 h; LD) cycle and free-ran under constant darkness (DD) with circadian periodicities. Under entrained conditions about 75% of media workers displayed nocturnal activity patterns, and the rest showed diurnal activity patterns. In free-running conditions these ants displayed three types of activity patterns (turn-around). The free-running period (τ) of the locomotor activity rhythm of some ants (10 out of 21) showed period lengthening, and those of a few (6 out of 21) showed period shortening, whereas the locomotor activity rhythm of the rest of the ants (5 out of 21) underwent large phase shifts. Interestingly, the pre-turn-around τ of those ants that showed nocturnal activity patterns during earlier LD entrainment was shorter than 24 h, which became greater than 24 h after 6–9 days of free-run in DD. On the other hand, the pre-turn-around τ of those ants, which exhibited diurnal patterns during earlier LD entrainment, was greater than 24 h, which became shorter than 24 h after 6–9 days of free-run in DD. The patterns of activity under LD cycles and the turn-around of activity patterns in DD regime suggest that these ants are shift workers in their respective colonies, and they probably use their circadian clocks for this purpose. Circadian plasticity thus appears to be a general strategy of the media workers of the ant species C. compressus to cope with the challenges arising due to their roles in the colony constantly exposed to a fluctuating environment.  相似文献

Two mechanisms have been proposed to explain how colony-level foraging performance of leaf-cutting ants can be maximized when workers harvest leaf fragments of a size that does not maximize their individual performance. Each mechanism predicts that ants will adjust the size of leaf fragments between starting a foraging bout and establishing full traffic between the nest and foraging site, but the two models predict shifts in opposite directions. I examined fragment sizes at the start of daily foraging in five field colonies of Atta cephalotes in Costa Rica and detected an obvious shift in only one case. More shifts were detected when the small and large ends of the worker body size range were considered separately, but the direction was inconsistent among colonies. I also examined the role of returning laden workers in recruitment of nestmates by intercepting all laden workers for the first 2 h of foraging, and measuring the effect on the arrival of recruits at the foraging site. In two cases, the flow of recruits was not diminished by the interception of returning workers. The results suggest that neither mechanism correctly and consistently accounts for load size selection by leaf-cutting ants.
