正钳嘴鹳(Anastomus oscitans)分布于泰国、印度、孟加拉国、斯里兰卡、缅甸等南亚和东南亚国家,2006年在我国首次记录于云南大理洱源境内(韩联宪等2016),现已广泛扩散至我国西南地区(Liu et al. 2015,韩联宪等2016)。目前对我国钳嘴鹳的具体来源地及其迁徙路线尚无报道。2016年6月25日,在云南省红河哈尼族彝族自治州蒙自市马街哨村(23°27′13″N,103°24′02″E,海拔1 284 m)  相似文献

报道了青藏高原通泉草科(Mazaceae)肉果草属(Lancea)粗毛肉果草(Lancea hirsuta Bonati)新分布。该种分布于西藏八宿县(30°12′3.8″N,97°16′48″E)、西藏林周县(30°4′58.8″N,91°16′48″E)、西藏当雄县(30°32′24″N,91°20′24″E)和青海杂多县(33°4′48″N,95°9′36″E),该次发现将中国该种自然分布区扩大到西藏、青海等地,海拔分布也增加至4 300m。凭证标本现存于中国科学院青藏高原生物标本馆(HNWP)。  相似文献

Although a number of studies have demonstrated a correlation between ambient temperature and the timing of reproductive behavior in many bird species, the relationships between temperature, activation of the hypothalamus–pituitary–gonad (HPG) axis, laying, and hatching in free-living birds, remain unclear. We investigated the relationships between spring temperature, reproductive hormones, and behavior, in a population of the Asian short-toed lark (Calandrella cheleensis) on the Inner Mongolian Grasslands in 2014, 2015 and 2016. LH and T levels peaked earliest in the year with the highest April temperature (2014) and latest in the year with the lowest April temperature (2016), and rose faster in 2014 than in 2015 or 2016. Laying and hatching occurred earliest in 2014 and latest in 2016. E2 also peaked earlier in 2014 than in the other two years but there was no significant difference in peak E2 levels among the three years. The peak of hatching only coincided with the peak in grasshopper nymph (the main food of nestlings) abundance in 2015 and the nestling fledging rate in 2015 was significantly higher than that in 2014 and 2016. We also conducted a controlled experiment on the effect of temperature on plasma LH, T and E2 levels in wild-caught larks, which shows that mean plasma LH, T and E2 levels in the 16 °C group all peaked 4 days earlier than in the 13 °C group. All these results suggest that activation of HPG endocrine axis in the Asia short-toed lark population is closely related to ambient temperature, and that this subsequently influences the timing of laying and hatching. The HPG axis' endocrine function is a physiological factor that mediates effects of ambient temperature on the timing of breeding. Temperature induced annual variation in the timing of hatching was, however, insufficient to synchronize the nestling period with the annual peak in grasshopper nymph abundance. Unusually warm, or cold, spring temperatures advanced, or delayed, grasshopper nymph development to an extent that exceeded the Asian short-toed lark's capacity to advance or delay the onset of breeding and reproductive success was lower in the two years of the study in which the nestling period was asynchronous with the peak of grasshopper nymph abundance. Long-term research on the relationship between the timing of reproduction and population demographics of the Asian short-toed lark is required to understand the effects of climate change on this species and on temperate birds in general.  相似文献

The Lesser Striped Swallow seems to have two different breeding populations. The birds south of 10°S breed largely during the spring and summer (July to April) and moult from about April to August. Birds further north breed throughout the year, but mainly during the first seven months of the year. Moult in the birds north of 10°S is from July to February when few birds are breeding. There seem to be two clearly defined moulting populations, with the southern breeding population moulting largely south of 10°S and the east African breeding population moulting largely north of the equator. In both populations moult and breeding seem to be separated in time, at least at the individual level.  相似文献

The present study investigated the presence of Chinese sturgeon Acipenser sinensis on its only remaining spawning ground (below the Gezhauba Dam), and monitored the behaviour under different environmental conditions from 24 December 2015 to 23 January 2016. A fixed ARIS (Adaptive Resolution Imaging Sonar) system was used and a total of 72 Chinese sturgeon were detected during nine observations. Detections initially recorded a few A. sinensis in the early days of late‐December 2015, with an increase in recordings, leading to a peak in early‐January 2016 and declining thereafter. Water temperature slowly decreased during the study period from 18.1 to 15.7°C. During the middle of this temperature decline the sturgeon observations peaked, suggesting that Chinese sturgeon could have an optimal temperature range. The sturgeon Detections Per Unit Effort (DPUE) was higher in the night hours, peaking before dawn, suggesting a circadian behaviour rhythm. Sturgeon spawning was not observed during the investigation period. A delay in the decrease in water temperature caused by the Three Gorges Reservoir and the few numbers of reproductively mature individuals are suspected to have contributed to the failure in natural breeding.  相似文献

Thermal reaction norms for development (the lower temperature threshold, temperature sensitivity, and sum of degree-days) can show phenotypic plasticity in response to a combination of ecological factors. The goal of this study was to evaluate the degree of plasticity of the thermal reaction norms for development under different photoperiodic conditions in the green shield bug Palomena prasina. Experiments were conducted in 2015 and 2016. In 2015, two photoperiodic regimens (12 and 22 h of light per day) and five constant temperatures (20, 22, 24, 26, and 28°C) were used; a lower temperature of 16°C was added in 2016. There were no differences in the egg developmental time between the two photoperiodic conditions and across the two experiments. Under the short-day photoperiodic regimen, nymphal development was faster at all the temperatures and was characterized by greater thermal sensitivity and a higher temperature threshold than under the long-day photoperiod. Besides, the relationship between the developmental rate and temperature deviated from linearity at 26 and 28°C under short-day conditions. The adaptive nature of the observed nymphal response to photoperiodic conditions was confirmed by our phenological observations and an outdoor cage experiment. The adult body mass slightly increased with rising temperature under short-day conditions but did not depend on the temperature under long-day ones. Females were larger than males, and both sexes had a greater body mass under long-day conditions than under short-day ones. In 2015, the eggs for experiments were collected before mid-July, almost a month later than in 2016. Nymphs that hatched from the later eggs (in 2015) had significantly higher relative growth rates than the early-season nymphs (in 2016) at 20, 22, and 24°C under both photoperiods. This discrepancy between years was probably related to the maternal effect, namely, the difference in the female physiological age.

Sea-surface temperature (SST) directly and indirectly affects the distribution and abundance of prey species for seabirds, so we expect variation in SST to be associated with variation in seabird life history traits. In black-tailed gulls (Larus crassirostris) at Teuri Island in northern Hokkaido, Japan, we investigated the diet of the gulls prior to egg laying in 2004 and 2005, and examined the influences of SST in March or April, when the gulls congregate in the colony, on egg-laying parameters using 13 years of data (1992–2004). The gulls fed on krill (Thysanoessa inermis) and fish prior to the egg laying. Mean first egg dates and clutch sizes were significantly and quadratically related to SST anomalies in March, but were not influenced by SST anomalies in April. There was no significant effect of SSTs in either March or April on egg volume. Sea-surface temperature anomalies in March of the years of early laying (−1 to 1°C) were higher than those in 2001 (−2.2°C), but lower than those in 1992 (+1.2°C) and 2004 (+1.1°C). Thysanoessa inermis congregates to spawn at the sea surface, when SSTs rise 3−4°C. Thus, a mismatch between food availability and the timing of egg production in the gulls could have occurred in these 3 years. This study suggests that SST fluctuations prior to laying are important in breeding success of black-tailed gulls.  相似文献

Bird migration is often framed as a straightforward journey between one breeding site and one wintering site, but recent research has shown that the reality is often more complex. Many species of birds undertake short‐distance movements separate from long‐distance migration. Such movements appear to be common in species that breed in western North America, where mountainous terrain creates a mosaic of habitats and climatic conditions. However, individual‐based tracking studies have disproportionately focused elsewhere, leaving gaps in our understanding of the year‐round movements of western species. I used tracking data from light‐level geolocators and citizen science data from eBird to study the movements of Cassin’s Vireos (Vireo cassinii) breeding in the Sierra Nevada mountains of California, USA. During three breeding seasons (2013–2015), my observations suggested that Cassin’s Vireos vacate their breeding territories during the post‐breeding period in July and August. In April and May 2016, I tagged 22 Cassin’s Vireos with light‐level geolocators and, in April and May 2017, recaptured four that had retained their geolocators. Geolocator data showed that these four birds remained in the same geographic region as their breeding territories (likely the same mountain range) during the post‐breeding period in July and August 2016, ruling out the possibility of long‐distance movements during this time. Analysis of eBird citizen science data suggested that Cassin’s Vireos undertake short‐distance molt‐migration to higher elevations in the Sierra Nevada Mountains during the post‐breeding period. Geolocator data revealed that long‐distance fall migration took place in September and spring migration in April or May, and the four birds spent the winter in different parts of the Mexican winter range of Cassin’s Vireos. These results add to the body of literature on the complex movements of migratory songbirds breeding in the mountains of western North America, an understanding that will be important for effective conservation in the future.  相似文献

鹟莺属(Seicercus)鸟类的繁殖资料十分缺乏。2015年4~8月,采用录像全程监控的方法,在贵州宽阔水国家级自然保护区,对4巢栗头鹟莺(S.castaniceps)的繁殖过程进行了完整观察。栗头鹟莺的繁殖期主要集中在5~7月,巢址选择专一性较强,均筑巢于公路边的土坎内壁,距路(1.3±1.2)m,巢为球状侧开口,巢材主要为新鲜苔藓及细草根,巢高(2.2±0.6)m,巢宽(10.9±1.5)cm,杯宽(3.3±0.5)cm,巢深(9.5±1.9)cm,杯深(5.5±1.0)cm。窝卵数(4.5±0.6)枚(4~5枚),卵重(0.92±0.04)g,卵长(14.30±0.30)mm,卵宽(11.22±0.23)mm,卵体积(0.92±0.05)mm3(n=18)。亲鸟在产满窝卵后开始孵卵,孵卵期12~13 d,在孵卵中期(第5~9天)亲鸟的孵卵时间开始增加,翻卵次数增多,在孵卵后期(第10~13天)亲鸟的孵卵时间和翻卵次数基本保持不变。育雏期13~14 d。雌、雄共同育雏,雏鸟在3日龄时,体重和跗跖开始显著增长,在7日龄时,增长速度变缓。孵化率为88.9%(16/18),营巢成效为100%,出飞成效为3.3只/巢。  相似文献

The islands of Bahía Santa María‐La Reforma, Sinaloa, Mexico, host the largest breeding population of the western race of American Oystercatchers (Haematopus palliatus frazari). This resident shorebird has a small breeding range restricted to northwestern Mexico and, although listed as endangered, little is known about their breeding biology. We estimated the number of pairs on the El Rancho and Melendres islands, the detection rate of pairs in different habitats, and the relationship between habitat length and number of pairs during three breeding seasons (2016–2018). In 2016 and 2017, the number of pairs peaked in mid‐April (97 and 95 pairs, respectively) at El Rancho, and in early May and early April (50 and 42 pairs, respectively) at Melendres. In 2018, both islands had the maximum number of pairs during mid‐May, with 109 pairs at El Rancho and 42 at Melendres. Detectability of breeding pairs in plots with sandy beach and dune habitats was higher (86–100%) than in those with mangrove habitat (22%). Detectability was associated with habitat type and should be considered in estimating the population size of this subspecies. We estimated that ~ 11% of the total frazari American Oystercatcher population breeds on these two small islands. The density of breeding pairs varied between habitats (range = 0–13 pairs/km). We also found a positive relationship between the number of pairs and plot length, suggesting that habitat availability might be a limiting factor for populations of American Oystercatchers in Mexico.  相似文献

From the mid-19th century to the end of the 20th century, Salvinia natans (L.) All. occurred very rarely in the Vistula Delta (northern Poland), but from the beginning of the 21st century it was present in almost every watercourse and had formed very abundant populations. We examined the influence of temperature on the abundance of this plant and the efficiency of macrospore germination. Field work was carried out in 10 permanent plots every 14 days for 5 years. Macrospores germinate at water temperature of 12.4 ± 0.2°C or higher; at 20°C they develop more effectively than at 15°C. Usually, ice cover on the rivers melts in the second half of March. At this time, macro- and microspores emerge on the water surface and germinate in April. They occur in the water surface film at 15.1 ± 2.4°C and massively die during spring frost. After 1989, March and April mean temperature in the Vistula Delta rose by 1.6°C versus 1901–1988, and by 1.9°C versus 1851–1988. In 1951–1988, the mean temperature for March and April was +4.6°C and was characterized by considerable interannual variation (SD = 1.64), whereas in 1989–2009, it rose to +5.7°C and the variation range narrowed (SD = 1.24). We found that macrospores are active earlier during the warm and mild summers, germination is more effective, survival of young stages is higher, the growing season is longer, and the number of vegetative offsprings in a year is larger.  相似文献
