Two tetra-nuclear Ag(I) complexes with styrene-functionalized N-heterocyclic carbene [AgL2]2[Ag2X4] (L = 1-methyl-3-(4-vinylbenzyl)imidazol-2-ylidene, X = Cl, 2a; X = I, 2b) were prepared by the reactions between the corresponding imidazolium salts with Ag2O. The reaction mixture was further treated with AgBF4 to give a mononuclear ion-pair complex [AgL2][BF4] (3). The molecular structures of these new Ag(I) complexes have been determined by X-ray diffraction analyses. 2a and 2b consist of two [Ag(L)2]+ fragments with the central [Ag2X4]2− anion held together by the close Ag(I)-Ag(I) interactions. Complex 3 is a mononuclear ion-pair complex with a linear bi-coordinate Ag fragment.  相似文献

The reaction in water of silver oxide with N-acetylglycine (H2acgly) possessing the partial structure, i.e. the OC-N-C-COOH moiety, afforded light-stable and water-soluble dinuclear silver(I) complex {[Ag(Hacgly)]2} (complex 1). X-ray crystallography revealed that complex 1 in the solid state formed a ladder polymeric structure based on bis(carboxylato-O,O′)-bridged centrosymmetric Ag2O4 core, which was different from the two previously reported structures of silver(I) glycinate. Complex 1 which only comprises labile Ag-O bonding showed a wide range of antimicrobial activities against selected bacteria, yeasts and molds. Complex 1 can also work as an useful silver(I) precursor for novel silver(I) cluster synthesis.  相似文献

The catalytic inactivation of Escherichia coli (E. coli) in water by silver loaded alumina as catalyst was investigated. Ag/Al2O3 and AgCl/Al2O3 catalysts exhibited high bactericidal activity at room temperature in water with no need for any light or electrical power input. Dissolved oxygen which can be catalyzed to reactive oxygen species (ROS) was found to be essential for the strong bactericidal activities of the catalysts. Decomposition of the cell wall leading to leakage of the intracellular component and the complete lysis of the whole cell were directly observed by transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The resultant change in cell permeability was confirmed by potassium ion leakage. The different morphological changes between E. coli cells treated with the catalysts and Ag+ were also observed. The formation of ROS involved in the bactericidal process by AgCl/Al2O3 was confirmed by addition of catalase and OH scavenger. Higher temperature and pH value were found to have positive effect on the bactericidal activity of AgCl/Al2O3. All these results indicated that the bactericidal effect of the catalyst was a synergic action of ROS and Ag+, not an additive one. A possible mechanism is proposed.  相似文献

Two isostructural Keggin-templated compounds containing a chair-like heptanuclear silver complex, [{Ag7(Hbtz)2(btz)4}{PM12O40}]·H2O (M = W, 1; Mo, 2) (Hbtz = benzotriazolate), have been hydrothermally synthesized and characterized by routine methods and single crystal X-ray diffraction. In the compounds 1 and 2, the Hbtz ligands present two types of coordination modes. A pentameric silver chain with two kinds of Ag?Ag weak interactions exists in the heptanuclear silver complex. The heptanuclear silver cations connect the polyoxoanions PM12O403− to a two-dimensional layer, and the adjacent layers are fused together by the pseudo wave-like chains, H-bonds and AgI–π interactions, constructing a three-dimensional net. Furthermore, electrochemical properties have been studied for compounds 1 and 2 and the two compounds display excellent electrocatalytic activities to the reduction of nitrite.  相似文献

The ditopic ligand 1,2-bis(1-imidazolylmethyl)benzene (1,2-bimb) and its silver(I) complexes [Ag2(1,2-bimb)2](PF6)2 (1) and {[Ag2(1,2-bimb)2]2(SbF6)4}n (2) were prepared and their structures characterized by X-ray crystallography. Both complexes contain the chair-form unit [Ag2(1,2-bimb)2]2+ with Ag(I) linearly coordinated by NIm (Im=1-imidazolyl) from the Im groups of two 1,2-bimb. However, the [Ag2(1,2-bimb)2]2+ units are positioned differently in forming 1D infinite chains through weak argentophilic interactions: linear chains in 1 with the units oriented in same direction are formed via Ag?π interactions, while polymeric chains constructed via Ag?Ag interactions in 2 are observed with the units arranged in alternate directions. Differences in supramolecular structures may be a result of different size of the anions.  相似文献

Five novel silver (Ι) complexes with 1,3-imidazolidine-2-thione ligand formulated as [Ag21-SC3H6N2)6]SO4 (1), [Ag22-SC3H6N2)21-SC3H6N2)4](NO3)2 (2), [Ag(μ2-SC3H6N2)Br]n (3), [Ag22-SC3H6N2)3(CH3COO)2]n (4), [Ag(μ2-SC3H6N2)Cl]n (5) have been synthesized under similar conditions except for different anions and solvents. They are structurally characterized by elemental analysis, IR, TG and single crystal X-ray diffraction. Complex 1 is a binuclear complex, with SO42− anions as the counteranions. Complex 2 is a molecular binuclear silver cluster, with NO3 anions as the counteranions. Complex 3 shows a novel 2D lamella structure constructed by the S atom of 1,3-imidazolidine-2-thione ligand and Br anions, and exhibits 12-membered metallacyclic rings in its structure. Complex 4 is a novel 2D layered polymer with a graphite-like array of silver (I) ions, with CH3COO anion coordinated to silver(I) ions by O atom. Complex 5 shows a 3D diamond-like network structure constructed by the sulfur atom of 1,3-imidazolidine-2-thione ligand and Cl anions.  相似文献

The self-assembly reaction of the flexible ligand 1,2-bis(1,2,4-triazol-4-yl)ethane (btre) and Ag salts with BF4, SO42−, NO3 and ClO4 gives novel coordination polymers {[Ag(btre)2](BF4)}n (1), {[Ag2(btre)1.5(H2O)](SO4)·5H2O}n (2), {[Ag(btre)](NO3)·H2O}n (3) and {[Ag(btre)](ClO4)}n (4). The structure of 1 is a one-dimensional double chain through double bis-monodentate btre bridges. Compound 2 is a novel two-dimensional network containing the Ag4 unit node and μ4-btre building block. In 3 and 4, adjacent two silver(I) atoms are linked through four nitrogen atoms of two N1/N2 atoms of two btre ligands and form Ag2N4 6-membered rings and construct a one-dimensional chain. The chains extends through btre bridges in four different directions alternatively to construct a novel three-dimensional network. The luminescences of 1-4 were observed in the solid state at room temperature. Compounds 3 and 4 are inversely transfered by the anion exchange procedure.  相似文献

Acinetobacter baumannii BL88, an environmental isolate, was resistant to 13 metals and 10 antibiotics. Plumbagin cured resistance to silver, cadmium, antimony, streptomycin and ampicillin at varying frequencies. However, only silver resistance transferred (1 × 10–6 recepient–1) to Escherichia coli K12 during conjugation. Correspondingly there was transfer of a 54 kb plasmid (pUPI199) from A. baumannii BL88. The plasmid transformed E. coli DH5 cells at a frequency of 1 × 10–8 recepient–1. The growth rate of E. coli DH5; (pUPI199) was slower as compared with E. coli DH5. Plasmid pUPI199 was 76 and 9.6% stable in the host A. baumannii BL88 in the presence and absence of selection pressure, respectively. A. baumannii BL88 was found to accumulate and retain silver whereas E. coli DH5 (pUPI199) effluxed 63% of the accumulated silver ions.  相似文献

Two new linear and V-shaped tetradentate ligands, namely 1,4-bis(2-hexahydropyrimidyl)benzene (L) and 1,3-bis(2-hexahydropyrimidyl)benzene (L), and their silver(I) complexes, [Ag2L(μ-ONO2)](NO3) · 2H2O (1), [Ag2L(μ-pn)](NO3)2 (2), [Ag2L(μ-pn)](ClO4)2 (3) and [Ag4L2(H2O)](NO3)4 · 5H2O (4) (pn=1,3-diaminopropane) have been synthesized in situ and structurally characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. 1 and 2 were obtained from the same reaction solution but different crystallization conditions. 1 is an one-dimensional chain featuring cuboid tetranuclear silver(I) units interconnected through monoatomic nitrate bridges. Both 2 and 3 are ribbon-like helical compounds in which each L ligand acts in a tetradentate bridging mode to interconnect four metal atoms, and each pn ligand functions in a bidentate bridging mode to link a pair of metal atoms. 4 shows a truncated square-pyramidal tetranuclear motif arose by the V-shaped L ligand. Close Ag?Ag separations (2.901-2.939 Å) assisted by bis(hexahydropyrimidine) bridges were observed in 1 and 4, indicating metal-metal interactions. Photoluminescence of 1-4 has also been observed in the solid state and solution at room temperature and low temperature, respectively.  相似文献

A catheter surface was modified by coating a cellulose acetate polymer. Adhesion of Pseudomonas aeruginosa ATCC 27853 to the surface was investigated by exposing bacterial cultures to three treatments: polymer impregnated with silver ions (Ag+), polymer surfaces coated with lectins and a combination of Ag+ and a lectin coating. The effective concentration of Ag+ providing protection against bacterial biofilm development was 100g/ml and higher. Lectins alone at 10% also showed inhibition of bacterial attachment. However, the best result was achieved against bacterial adhesion and growth on surfaces using a combination of 100 g Ag+/ml and a lectin coating as a surface treatment. This surface treatment was also effective against both fresh culture and a two-week-old culture containing P. aeruginosa producing exopolymers. Our results suggest that Ag+impregnation combined with a lectin coating warrants further investigation as a potential means of protecting catheters.  相似文献

The synthesis and structural characterization of series of copper and silver homoleptic complexes [M(R-pyX)], M = Cu, Ag, X = S, Se; R = H, 3-CF3, 5-CF3 (not all combinations), is described. The copper compounds, as well as [Ag(pySe)] and [Ag(3-CF3-pySe)], were synthesised by electrochemical oxidation of anodic metal in a cell containing an acetonitrile solution of the corresponding proligand. The other homoleptic silver complexes were obtained by direct reaction between AgNO3 and the salt of the corresponding ligand in methanol. In addition, the reaction of the metal thiolate compounds with bis(diphenylphosphino)ethane (dppe) in acetone allowed the synthesis of heteroleptic compounds [M2(R-pyX)2(dppe)3]. The compounds obtained have been characterized by microanalysis, IR spectroscopy and mass spectrometry and, in cases where the complexes were sufficiently soluble, by 1H NMR spectroscopy. The proligands (3-CF3pySe)2 (1), (5-CF3-pySe)2 (2) and (5-CF3-pySe-DMF) (3) and the complexes [Cu(3-CF3-pyS)] (4), [Ag(3-CF3-pyS)] (5) and [Cu2(5-CF3-pyS)2(dppe)3] (6) were obtained as crystalline products and were studied by X-ray diffraction methods.  相似文献

Summary Debaryomyces hansenii (NCYC 459 and strain 75-21),Candida albicans (3153A),Saccharomyces cerevisiae (X2180-1B),Rhodotorula rubra (NCYC 797) andAureobasidium pullulans (IMI 45533 and ATCC 42371) were grown on solid medium supplemented with varying concentrations of AgNO3. Although Ag+ is highly toxic towards yeasts, growth on solid media was still possible at Ag concentrations of 1–2 mM. Further subculture on higher Ag concentrations (up to 5 mM) resulted in elevated tolerance. The extent of Ag tolerance depended on whether Ag-containing plates were exposed to light prior to inoculation since light-mediated reduction of Ag+ to Ag0 resulted in the production of a less toxic silver species. Experimental organisms exhibited blackening of colonies and the surrounding agar during growth on AgNO3-containing medium especially at the highest Ag concentrations tested. All organisms accumulated Ag from the medium; electron microscopy revealed that silver was deposited as electron-dense granules in and around cell walls and in the external medium. X-ray microprobe analysis indicated that these granules were metallic Ag0 although AgCl was also present in some organisms. Volatile and non-volatile reducing compounds were produced by several test organisms which presumably effected Ag+ reduction to Ag0.  相似文献

Reactions of (NH4)2MS4 or (NH4)2MOS3 (M = Mo, W) with AgSCN and closo carborane diphosphine ligand 1,2-(PPh2)2-1,2-C2B10H10 (L) in CH2Cl2 yielded four heterobimetallic trinuclear Mo(W)-Ag-S clusters: [Ag2MoS4L2] (1), [Ag2WS4L2] (2), [Ag2MoOS3L2] (3) and [Ag2WS4L2] (4), respectively. All the new clusters have been characterized by elemental analysis, FT-IR, UV-Vis, 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy and their molecular structures (except for 3) were further confirmed by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. X-ray crystal structure analysis showed that the closo carborane diphosphine ligand was coordinated bidentately to Ag(I) atom through its two phosphorus atoms, resulting in a stable five-member chelating ring between the diphosphine ligand and the metal. The coordination sphere of the central M atom, as well as all the Ag atoms, was tetrahedron. The skeletons of these clusters could be classified into two types: with (NH4)2MS4, the three metal atoms (two Ag atoms and one M atom) are in a linear conformation, while with (NH4)2MOS3, the conformation of the heterobimetallic trinuclear cluster is butterfly shaped. The luminescence properties of the clusters were investigated in CH2Cl2 solution at room temperature and for the first time the butterfly-shaped Ag-W-S cluster containing the Ag2WS4 core has been proved to show luminescence property.  相似文献

Waterborne free silver can cause osmo- and ionoregulatory disturbances in freshwater organisms. The effects of a short-term exposure to extracellular Ag+ ions on membrane currents were investigated in voltage-clamped defolliculated Xenopus oocytes. At a holding potential of − 60 mV, ionic silver (1 μM Ag+) increased inward currents (=IAg) from − 8 ± 2 nA to − 665 ± 41 nA (n = 74; N = 27). IAg activated within 2 min of silver exposure and then rose impetuously. This current was largely reversible by washout and repeatable. IAg reversed around − 30 mV and rectified slightly at more positive potentials. Na+-free bath conditions reduced the silver-induced current to a smaller but sustained current. The response to silver was abolished by the Cl channel blockers DIDS and SITS, whereas niflumic acid strongly potentiated IAg. Intraoocyte injection of AgNO3 to about 1 mM [Ag]i strongly potentiated IAg. Extracellular application of either dithiothreitol (DTT), a compound known to reduce disulfide bridges, or l-cysteine abolished Ag+-activated increase of membrane current. In contrast, n-ethylmaleimide (NEM) which oxidizes SH-groups potentiated IAg. Hypoosmotic bath solution significantly increased IAg whereas hyperosmolar conditions attenuated IAg. The activation of IAg was largely preserved after chelation of cytosolic Ca2+ ions with BAPTA/AM. Taken together, these data suggest that Xenopus oocytes are sensitive to short-term exposure to waterborne Ag+ ions and that the elicited membrane currents result from extra- and intracellular action of Ag+ ions on peptide moieties at the oocyte membrane but may also affect conductances after internalization.  相似文献

Summary Apical application of silver nitrate (AgNO3; 50 and 100 g per plant) and silver thiosulphate anionic complex (Ag(S2O3) 2 3– ; STS; 25, 50 and 100 g per plant) to female plants of Cannabis sativa induced the formation of reduced male, intersexual and fully altered male flowers on the newly formed primary lateral branches (PLBs); 10 g per plant of AgNO3 was ineffective and 150 g treatment proved inhibitory. A maximum number of fully altered male flowers were formed in response to 100 g STS. The induced male flowers produced pollen grains that germinated on stigmas and effected seed set. Silver ion applied as STS was more effective than AgNO3 in inducing flowers of altered sex. The induction of male flowers on female plants demonstrated in this work is useful for producing seeds that give rise to only female plants. This technique is also useful for maintaining gynoecious lines.  相似文献

The reaction of pyridine-2-thiol with AgBF4 and AgClO4 in MeCN gave rise to polymeric compounds [{Ag(HPyS)2}2(BF4)2]n (1) and [{Ag(HPyS)2}2(ClO4)2]n (2) (HPyS=pyridine-2-thione), respectively, while the similar reaction of pyridine-2-thiol with AgNO3 resulted in a polymeric compound [{Ag4(HPyS)6}(NO3)4]n (3). X-ray single-crystal diffraction analyses showed that the cations of both 1 and 2 possess a single-metal-atom chain structure but that of 3 is a double-metal-atom chain structure. The difference between 1 (or 2) and 3 showed counterion effect in polymerization of silver-thione compounds. In the presence of water, the treatment of pyridine-2-thiol with AgBF4 in DMF at 0 °C generated a polymeric compound [Ag(SPy)]n (4) (Spy=pyridine-2-thiolate) with graphite-like layered array of silver ions. Compound 4 can convert into its isomer [Ag6(SPy)6]n (5) through soaking in DMF for 1 month. However, the similar reaction of pyridine-2-thiol with AgBF4 in MeCN-H2O (v:v=40:1) at room temperature gave another layered polymeric compound [{Ag5(Spy)4(HPyS)}BF4]n (6). The preparation of 4, 5, and 6 showed that temperature and solvent exert influence on formation of silver-thiolate polymers. The reaction of AgNO3 with K2i-mnt (i-mnt=2,2-dicyanoethene-1,1,-dithiolate) and pyridine-2-thiol gave a polymer [Ag44-i-mnt)2(μ-HPyS)2(μ-HPyS)4/2]n (7) with one-dimensional (1-D) chain structure consisting of Ag4 square planar cluster units linked by 1H-pyridine-2-thione ligand. The treatment of AgNO3 with NaS2CNEt2 and pyridine-2-thiol in DMF resulted in another polymeric compound [Ag43-S2CNEt2)22-SPy)4/2]n (8). The preparation and characterization of these polymeric compounds demonstrated that polymerization of silver(I)-thione and silver(I)-thiolate complexes is tunable through controlling reaction conditions. Semiconducting property studies of 1-8 demonstrated that the electrical conductivity of 4 is 2.04×10−5 S cm−1 at 25 °C and increases as temperature rises, and those of 1-3 and 5-8 are in the range of 1×10−12-1×10−15 S cm−1 at room temperature and independent on the temperature, indicating that 1 is a semiconductor and the others are insulators.  相似文献

An efficient system for gene transfer into plants of Brassica juncea var. India Mustard, mediated by Agrobacterium tumefaciens. was developed through the manipulation of the culture medium and the use of the appropriate Agrobacterium strain. High frequency shoot regeneration (90–100%) was obtained from hypocotyl explants grown on medium containing 0.9% agarose, 3.3 mg/L AgNO3 and 0.5–2 mg/L BA in combination with 0.01–0.05 mg/L 2,4-D or 0.1–1 mg/L NAA. Of all the Agrobacterium strains tested, A. tumefaciens A208-SE, carrying the disarmed Ti plasmid and a binary vector pROA93, was the most effective for B. juncea transformation. pROA93 carries the coding sequences of the NPTII and the GUS genes, both driven by a common CaMV 35S promoter in two divergent directions. Inoculated explants grown on the selection medium in the presence of 0.5 mg/L BA and 0.1 mg/L NAA gave rise to transgenic shoots at the highest frequency (9%). All Ro transgenic plants were phenotypically normal, but variation in expression patterns of the GUS gene occurred among the transgenic plants in an organ- and tissue-specific manner. Both the NPTII and the GUS genes were transmitted to the R1 seed progeny and showed co-segregation.Abbreviations BA benzyladenine - 2,4-D 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid - NAA naphthaleneacetic acid - NPTII neomycin phosphotransferase type II - GUS -glucuronidase - CaMV cauliflower mosaic virus - MS Murashige and Skoog - X-Gluc 5-bromo-4-chloro-3-indolyl-D--glucuronic acid - IBA indolebutyric acid - SDS sodium dodecyl sulfate  相似文献

The meagre (structurally defined) array of 1:2 silver(I) (pseudo-)halide:unidentate nitrogen base adducts is augmented by the single-crystal X-ray structural characterization of the 1:2 silver(I) thiocyanate:piperidine (‘pip’) adduct. It is of the one-dimensional ‘castellated polymer’ type previously recorded for the chloride: ?Ag(pip)2(μ-SCN)Ag(pip)2? a single bridging atom (S) linking successive silver atoms. By contrast, in its copper(I) counterpart, also a one-dimensional polymer, the thiocyanate bridges as end-bound SN-ambidentate: ?CuSCNCuSCN? A study of the 1:1 silver(I) bromide:quinoline (‘quin’) adduct is recorded, as the 0.25 quin solvate, isomorphous with its previous reported ‘saddle polymer’ chloride counterpart.Recrystallization of 1:1 silver(I) iodide:tris(2,4,6-trimethoxyphenyl)phosphine (‘tmpp’) mixtures from py and quinoline (‘quin’)/acetonitrile solutions has yielded crystalline materials which have also been characterized by X-ray studies. In both cases the products are salts, the cation in each being the linearly coordinated silver(I) species [Ag(tmpp)2]+, while the anions are, respectively, the discrete [Ag5I7(py)2]2− species, based on the already known but unsolvated [Cu5I7]2− discrete, and the polymeric, arrays, and polymeric . The detailed stereochemistry of the [Ag(tmpp)2]+ cation is a remarkably constant feature of all structures, as is its tendency to close-pack in sheets normal to their P-Ag-P axes. The far-IR spectra of the above species and of several related complexes have been recorded and assigned. The vibrational modes of the single stranded polymeric AgX chains in [XAg(pip)2](∞|∞) (X = Cl, SCN) are discussed, and the assignments ν(AgX) = 155, 190 cm−1 (X = Cl) and 208 cm−1 (X = SCN) are made. The ν(AgX) and ν(AgN) modes in the cubane tetramers [XAg(pip)]4 (X = Br, I) are assigned and discussed in relation to the assignments for the polymeric AgX:pip (1:2) complexes, and those for the polymeric [XAg(quin)](∞|∞) (X = Cl, Br) compounds. The far-IR spectra of [Ag(tmpp)2]2[Ag5I7(py)2] and its corresponding 2-methylpyridine complex show a single strong band at about 420 cm−1 which is assigned to the coordinated tmpp ligand in [Ag(tmpp)2]+, and a partially resolved triplet at about 90, 110 and 140 cm−1 which is assigned to the ν(AgI) modes of the [Ag5I7L2]2− anion. An analysis of this pattern is given using a model which has been used previously to account for unexpectedly simple ν(CuI) spectra for oligomeric iodocuprate(I) species.  相似文献

Four amido-functionalized N-heterocyclic silver(I) and mercury(II) carbene complexes, [(CH3-imy-CH2CONH2)2Ag2Br2] (3), [Ag(CH3-bimy-CH2CONH2)2]4[Ag4Br8] (4), [Hg(CH3-imy-CH2CONH2)2][HgBr4] (5), and [Hg(CH3-bimy-CH2CONH2)2][HgBr4] (6), have been synthesized and structurally characterized. Crystal packing revealed a 2D polymeric structure of complex 3. In addition to a repeated interaction between the Ag2Br2 units responsible for the 1D polymeric ladder structure, a pair of hydrogen bonding interactions between the amido groups of the adjacent molecules provided a basis for the other dimension of the polymeric chain. Complex 4 is comprised of a unique oligomeric anion [Ag4Br8]4− and four [Ag(CH3-bimy-CH2CONH2)2]+ cations. Crystal packing of 4 revealed a one-dimensional polymeric structure in which the cations are connected to each other through a pair of hydrogen bonding interactions between the adjacent amido groups. Compounds 5 and 6 are both ionic consisting of a mercury carbene cation and [HgBr4]2− anion. An intramolecular interaction of the amido oxygen with the mercury atom of the cation was observed in these two complexes. The interaction between the mercury of the cation and a bromide of the anion, along with the hydrogen bonding interaction of the adjacent amido groups, is responsible for the 2D polymeric structures of these two complexes in the solid state.  相似文献
