A 2D grid-like copper(II) complex [Cu(N3)2(pyz)](pyz = pyrazine) (1) has been synthesized and characterized by single crystal X-ray analysis and magnetic measurements. The 2D grid-like network of 1 consists of 1D chain of Cu-pyz units connected by end-on azido bridge. 1 crystallizes in the monoclinic space group C2 with a = 15.148(6) Å, b = 6.877(2) Å, c = 3.4591(12) Å and Z = 2. The magnetic investigation showed the presence of an antiferromagnetic interaction between the copper(II) ions mainly mediated through pyrazine bridge.  相似文献

A new ligand, 1-(pyridin-2-yl)-N-(pyridin-2-ylmethyl)-N-(thiophen-3-ylmethyl)methanamine, ThDPA, was synthesized, as a new example of an N3S donor. Cu(II) complexes of this ligand were isolated. When Cu(NO3)2 was used as the metal source, a homobinuclear complex with the formula [CuThDPA(NO3)2]2·H2O, 1, with two different types of nitro coordination was isolated. 1 crystallizes in the monoclinic P21/n space group with a = 15.193, b = 8.181, c = 32.827 Å, β = 103.3° and V = 3971.9 Å3. In the case of CuSO4 as the source of copper(II), uncommon sulfato-bridged structures were isolated. The homobinuclear complex crystallized in two different lattices, depending on the solvent evaporation rate. Compound 2, with the formula [CuThDPA(SO4)]2·3H2O, crystallizes with 3 water molecules per binuclear structure in the monoclinic space group P21/c with a = 10.143, b = 17.013, c = 11.793 Å, β = 97.18° and V = 2019.1 Å3, and 3, [CuThDPA(SO4)]2·4H2O, crystallizes with 4 water molecules per binuclear structure in the triclinic space group, with a = 9.2906, b = 10.7297, c = 12.7236 Å, α = 79.66, β = 72.18, γ = 67.1° and V = 1109.7 Å3.  相似文献

The binuclear mixed valence copper(I/II) compound [CuI(CN)3CuII(tn)2] (1) (tn = propane-1,3-diamine) and its acetonitrile adduct [CuI(CN)3CuII(tn)2] · 2MeCN (2) have been synthesized. Complex 1 crystallizes triclinic, space group , a = 8.117(2) Å, b = 8.389(2) Å, c = 11.920(2) Å, α = 108.728(3)°, β = 100.024(3)°, γ = 104.888(4)°, Z = 2, and compound 2 monoclinic, space group P21/m, a = 8.752(2) Å, b = 13.243(3) Å, c = 9.549(2) Å, β = 114.678(4)°, Z = 2. In both crystal structures, the binuclear [CuI(CN)3CuII(tn)2] complex with slightly different bonding geometries is formed. One of the three nitrogen atoms of a CuI(CN)3 moiety is coordinated to Cu(II) at the apex of a square-pyramid with two chelating ligands tn on its base. The shortest intramolecular CuII?CuII distance in 1 is 5.640(7) Å. The EPR behaviour of 1 has been investigated at room temperature and at 77 K. The magnetic properties were measured in the temperature range 1.8-300 K.  相似文献

The reaction of Ln(III) ions with the precursor [Cu(opba)]2− in DMSO has afforded a series of isostructural compounds of general chemical formula Ln2[Cu(opba)]3(DMSO)6(H2O) · (H2O), where Ln(III) stands for a lanthanide ion and opba stands for ortho-phenylenebis(oxamato). The crystal structure has been solved for the Gd(III) containing compound. It crystallizes in the orthorhombic system, space group Pbn21 (No. 33) with a = 9.4183(2) Å, b = 21.2326(4) Å, c = 37.9387(8) Å and Z = 4. The structure consists of ladder-like molecular motifs parallel to each other. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first Ln(III)Cu(II) coordination polymer family exhibiting the same crystal structure over the whole lanthanide series. The magnetic properties of the compounds have been investigated and the magnetic behavior of the Gd(III) containing compound was studied in more detail.  相似文献

A copper(I) complex [Cu(CETH)2Cl] (Ia), where CETH = cuminaldehyde-4-ethyl-3-thiosemicarbazone (I), is prepared and structurally characterised. The complex crystallizes in orthorhombic space group pna2(1) with the unit cell parameters; a = 9.8598(14) Å, b = 15.411(2) Å, c = 0.817(3) Å, V = 2055.9(4) Å3 and Z = 4. The neutral complex has the copper(I) centre bonded to two thioketonic sulphur donor in η1-S bonding mode and one chloride giving ‘Y’ shape geometry. The complex is diamagnetic and exhibits a copper to ligand charge transfer bands at 351 and 398 nm in dimethylformamide. The complex shows quasireversible cyclic voltammetric response at 0.41 V (ΔEp = 300 mV) at 50 mVS−1 in DMF for the Cu(II)/Cu(I) oxidation couple. Complex Ia shows marginal nuclease activity with pUC18 DNA in the presence of reducing agent (Dithiotretal) and hydrogen peroxide.  相似文献

The molecular structure of copper(II) chloride complex with acrylamide (AAmCH2CHCONH2), [Cu(AAm)4Cl2], was determined using X-ray diffraction analysis. The complex crystallizes in the cubic space group I-43d with a = 17. 8310(2) Å, β = 90°, and V = 5669.27(11) Å3 for Z = 12. The acrylamide molecules bind to the metal center via the carbonyl oxygen atom (Cu-O 1.996 Å). The coordination geometry of the metal center in the complex involves a tetragonally distorted octahedral structure with four O-donor atoms of acrylamide bonded in the equatorial positions and two chlorides in the apical positions. Comparison of crystal structure data of acrylamide and metal acrylamide complexes of those formed with divalent transition metal chlorides has been summarized.  相似文献

A tetranuclear copper(II) complex [Cu4(NSI)4] · 2C2H5OH · 2H2O (NSI=hydroxethylsalicydeneimine) has been synthesized and characterized by X-ray diffraction analysis. The compound crystallizes in the monoclinic system, space group P2(1), a=9.494(3) Å, b=18.687(5) Å, c=13.149(4) Å, β=110.162(5)°, Z=2, R1=0.0482 and wR2=0.0978. The crystal structure contains a tetranuclear pseudo-cubane core based on an approximately cubane array of alternating copper and oxygen atoms. Each copper atom resides in a distorted square planar coordination environment with one nitrogen and three oxygen atoms from two NSI ligands. The tetranuclear units are linked in the crystal by O-H?O hydrogen bonds and weak Cu?O co-ordination bonds into one-dimensional structure. Variable temperature (5-300 K) magnetic measurements indicate the existence of ferromagnetic interactions among copper atoms. The IR and ESR spectra have also been investigated.  相似文献

An asymmetric single EO azido bridged dinuclear copper(II) complex, [Cu2(dmterpy)2(μ-1,1-N3)(N3)2] · NO3 · (H2O)21 [dmterpy = 5,5″-dimethyl-2,2′:6′,2″-terpyridine], and a double EO azido bridged dinuclear nickel(II) complex, [Ni2(pbdiim)4(μ-1,1-N3)2] · 2(N3) · 6(H2O) 2 [pbdiim = 2-(2′-pyridyl)benzo[1,2-d:4,5-d′]diimidazole], have been synthesized and characterized structurally and magnetically. Compound 1 consists of a single EO azido bridged CuII dimer in which each CuII ion is five-coordinated in the form of a distorted square-based pyramid. The N(μ−1,1) atom holds on the apical position of one CuII pyramid with an elongated bond length of 2.305 Å and on the basal plane of another distorted CuII pyramid with a bond length of 1.991 Å. The Cu-N(μ−1,1)-Cu angle is 117.4 (2)°. The copper(II) dimer forms a 1 D zig-zag chain via hydrogen bondings between azide ions, water molecules and the nitrate anion. Compound 2 consists of a double EO azido bridged NiII dimer with the Ni-N(μ−1,1)-Ni bond angle of 102.96 (13)°. The coordination geometry of NiII is octahedral. Their magnetic properties have been measured in the range from 300 to 2 K and correlated with the molecular structures. Compound 1 shows weak ferromagnetic interactions within the copper(II) dimer (J = 2.88 cm−1), despite the large EO azide bridge angle (117.4 (2)°). The intramolecular coupling between the NiII (S = 1) ions in compound 2 was found to be ferromagnetic (J = 27.87 cm−1).  相似文献

Two new one-dimensional azido-bridged chiral copper(II) coordination polymers, [(μ-1,1,3-N3)2{Cu2(R-L)2(N3)2}]n (1) (R-L = R-2-(N-(2-hydroxybutyl)carbaldimino) pyridine) and [(μ-1,1,3-N3)2{Cu2(S-L)2(N3)2}]n (2) (S-L = S-2-(N-(2-hydroxybutyl)carbaldimino)pyridine) have been synthesized and structurally characterized. Complexes 1 and 2 crystallize in the monoclinic chiral space group P21. For 1, with a = 6.9565(17) Å, b = 20.675(5) Å, c = 9.859(2) Å, β = 105.944(5)° and Z = 2. In the case of compound 2, a = 6.9650(17) Å, b = 20.705(5) Å, c = 9.878(2) Å, β = 105.941(4)° and Z = 2. Both complexes consist of one-dimensional chiral structures in which the copper(II) ions with a distorted octahedral geometry are interlinked by the unusual μ-1,1,3 azido ligands. Circular dichroism spectra demonstrate that 1 and 2 are a pair of enantiomers. Their magnetic properties have been studied. Fitting of the susceptibility data for 1 and 2 using the Bleany-Bowers expression derived from the isotropic spin-exchange Hamiltonian H = −2JS1S2 leads to the parameters g = 2.21, J = −2.06 cm−1, zJ′ = −0.0309 cm−1 and R = 4.0 × 10−4.  相似文献

The hydrothermal reaction of CuBr2 and tpyprz in the presence of NH4VO3 and HF for 72 h at 170 °C provided [(tpyprz)3Cu10Br10] (1) in 20% yield. The two-dimensional structure of 1 may be described as Cu(I)-tpyprz chains, linked through {Cu4Br5} clusters in the ac-plane and decorated with {Cu3Br5}2− clusters projecting from one face of the layer in the b-direction. The Cu(I) sites exhibit distorted trigonal coordination {CuBr3} and distorted tetrahedral geometries, {CuBr2N2} and {CuN4}. Crystal data for 1: monoclinic space group C2, a = 12.7561(8) Å, b = 19.359(1) Å, c = 15.860(1) Å, β = 97.178(1)°, V = 3885.8(4) Å3, Z = 2, Dcalc = 2.222 g cm−3, μ(Mo Kα) = 78.75 cm−1.  相似文献

Reaction of 9-methyl-1-deazapurine (9-MeDP) with Hg(CF3COO)2 in the presence of NaNO3 yields the title compound [Hg(9-MeDP)2](NO3)2 · H2O with the two 9-MeDP ligands bound to the metal ion via their N7 positions. The X-ray structure is reported: monoclinic, P21/c (no. 14), a = 5.4015(11), b = 20.467(4), c = 17.775(4) Å, β = 97.00(3)°, V = 1950.4(7) Å3, Z = 4. Hg is eight-coordinate with two trans-oriented Hg-N bonds (2.073(3) and 2.075(3) Å) and three nearly coplanar, bidentate nitrate moieties (Hg-O: 2.716(3)-2.985(4) Å), leading to a distorted hexagonal bipyramidal environment of the metal ion. Within this structure, the nitrate ions form a honeycomb-like chain structure with HgII being positioned inside the combs. This work represents the first report of such geometry for a transition metal ion surrounded by symmetrically bidentate nitrate ions. The corresponding nucleoside, 1-deazapurine 2′-deoxyribonucleoside, also forms a stable 2:1 complex with HgII, as was shown by 1H NMR spectroscopy, making it a potential candidate for incorporation into nucleic acids based on metal-mediated base pairs.  相似文献

The perchlorate M(II) (M = Cu, Ni, Co) complexes with the diethyl (pyridin-4-ylmethyl)phosphate (4-pmOpe) ligand of the composition [M(4-pmOpe)2 (H2O)2](ClO4)2 (M = Ni, Co) and [Cu(4-pmOpe)2(ClO4)2] were prepared and studied. The ligand contains two donor atoms, i.e. pyridine nitrogen and phosphoryl oxygen atoms. In particular, the crystal structure of [Cu(4-pmOpe)2(ClO4)2] was determined by the X-ray method. Its structure consists of a one-dimensional polymeric chain in which copper(II) ions are N,O-bridged by two 4-pmOpe organic ligands in a trans arrangement. Two perchlorate ions occupy the fifth and the sixth coordination sites. The Cu?Cu distance is 9.180 Å. The crystal packing is determined by the weak intermolecular C-H?O hydrogen contacts. The coordination compounds were identified and characterized by elemental analysis, spectroscopic and magnetic studies. Spectroscopic and magnetic results of the copper(II) compound are presented in the light of the crystal structure. The magnetic data indicate very weak intra- and interchain magnetic exchange interactions (J = −0.43 and zJ = 0.29 cm−1, respectively). The spectroscopic and magnetic properties of the Co(II) and Ni(II) complexes indicate octahedral and polymeric structure of both compounds in which 4-pmOpe ligand also acts as N,O-bridge between metal ions.  相似文献

A new rare variety asymmetric μ2-1,1-azido bridged copper(II) complex has been synthesized and characterized structurally and magnetically. The complex [Cu2L22-1,1-N3)2] · H2O · CH3OH (L = 1-(N-ortho-hydroxyacetophenimine)-2-aminoethane) (1), crystallizes in monoclinic space group, P21/n, with a = 9.469(4) Å, b = 12.526(8) Å, c = 12.899(10) Å, β = 105.79(6)°, V = 1472.2(16) Å3. X-ray study reveals that he Cu-N(azide)-Cu angles in this complex is 90.4°. This is unusually low in comparison to that of the same angle in other end-on azido-bridged binuclear complexes. Though a strong ferromagnetic interaction between the metal centers is expected in the complex, the coupling has actually been found to be antiferromagnetic (J = −4.2 cm−1), instead. To rationalize this paradoxical magnetic behavior, DFT calculation of this and other four complexes with very similar structure have been performed within broken symmetry framework. The calculated magnetic coupling constants (J) are in excellent agreement, both in sign and in the magnitude of the exchange interaction, with the experimental data, and the spin density map is correctly reproduced.  相似文献

Complex [Cr3O(O2CPh)6(MeOH)3](NO3) · 2MeOH (1 · 2MeOH) has been synthesized from the one-pot reaction between Cr(NO3)3 · 9H2O and NaO2CPh in MeOH. The structure of the complex has been solved by single-crystal X-ray crystallography. It crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P21/n with a=14.716(6) Å, b=22.569(8) Å, c=15.755(6) Å, β=95.02(1)°, V=5212.5(4) Å3 and Z=4. Although the cation does not possess any crystallographically imposed symmetry element, its {Cr33-O)} core is nearly symmetric. Each CrIII…CrIII vector is further bridged by two η112 benzoates, with a terminal MeOH molecule completing octahedral coordination at each metal ion. The crystal structure consists of layers that are parallel to (0 1 0) crystallographic plane and are formed through π-π stacking interactions and hydrogen bonds. Variable-temperature magnetic susceptibility and solid-state 1H NMR studies indicate that the total spin value of the ground state is 1/2. EPR experiments reveal the existence of a distribution of trimers with axial anisotropy in the g tensor.  相似文献

The first linear bis(chlorido)-bridged Cu(II) compound with the ligand 2-amino-5-nitropyrimidine (abbreviated as anpyr), [Cu(μ-Cl)2(anpyr)2]n, has been synthesized and fully characterized by spectroscopy, EPR and X-ray structure analysis. The basal plane around the Cu(II) ion is formed by two chloride anions with a Cu-Cl distance of 2.2513(6) Å and two nitrogen atoms of two trans-located anpyr ligands with a Cu-N distance of 2.068(2) Å. The apical positions of the distorted octahedral geometry are formed by two Cl anions of a neighbouring unit with a distance of 2.8690(8) Å. The Cu-Cl-Cu angle is 94.75(3)°, while the Cu-Cu distance is 3.791 Å. The Cu-bis-μ-chlorido-Cu array provides in this way a 2D linear chain.A neighbouring pair of symmetry-related polynuclear chains is linked through hydrogen bonds with a N···N distance 3.027(3) Å, forming into a kind of Watson-Crick-like pair of hydrogen bonds. Another H-bond is formed by the amine nitrogen to one of the chloride anions with a N···Cl distance 3.248(2) Å.The EPR powder spectrum appears as rhombic with g1 2.20, g2 2.12; g3 2.05, with unresolved hyperfine splittings. Analysis of the magnetic susceptibility measurements, recorded from 2 to 300 K, indicates a very weak antiferromagnetic interaction between the metal ions (J = −2 cm−1).  相似文献

Reaction of bis(2-hydroxybenzyl)-1,3-diaminopropane (H2bhbd) with copper(II) perchlorate and copper(II) chloride in methanol, respectively, leads to linear trinuclear clusters, namely [Cu3(bhbd)2(CH3OH)2(ClO4)2] (1) and [Cu3(bhbd)2Cl2](CH3OH)4 (2). These coordination compounds were characterized by X-ray crystallography, UV-Vis, IR and EPR spectroscopy, and magnetic susceptibility measurements. Both complexes have a linear trinuclear array of copper ions bridged by means of phenolato O atoms and separated by a distance of 2.985(4) Å (1) and 2.937(4) Å (2). Strong antiferromagnetic interactions between these adjacent CuII ions govern the magnetochemistry of 1 (J = −303(1) cm−1) and 2 (J = −482(3) cm−1) resulting in S = 1/2 ground states fully populated below 150 K. A correlation between the interaction parameter J and the angles within the trinuclear clusters is proposed.  相似文献

The title compounds, for short Ag6(tsac)6 (1) and [Cu4(tsac)4(MeCN)2] · 2MeCN (2), were prepared by the reaction of thiosaccharin with Ag(I) or Cu(II) salts in different solvents. The new complexes were characterized by FT-IR, Raman, UV-Vis and NMR spectroscopy. Their crystal and molecular structures were determined by X-ray diffraction methods. The structures were solved from 1621 (1) and 7080 (2) reflections with I > 2σ(I) and refined to agreement R1-factors of 0.0261 (1) and 0.0456 (2). Ag6(tsac)6 molecule derives from the clustering of six Ag(tsac) moieties related to each other through the crystallographic 3-bar (S6) symmetry operations of the space group. This results in a highly regular molecular structure where the silver atoms are at the corners of an octahedral core slightly compressed along one of its three-fold axis [inter-metallic Ag?Ag contacts of 3.1723(4) and 3.1556(4) Å]. The six thiosaccharinate ligands bridge neighboring Ag atoms along the C3-axis through Ag-N bonds [d(Ag-N) = 2.285(2) Å] at one end and bifurcated Ag-S(thione)-Ag bonds [Ag-S distances of 2.4861(7) and 2.5014(8) Å] at the other end. In contrast, the 2 compound is arranged in the lattice as an irregular tetrameric copper complex [Cu4(tsac)4(MeCN)2] where the metals show different environments. Two copper ions are four-fold coordinated to three tsac ions through the N-atom of one tsac [Cu-N distances of 2.112(3) and 2.064(3) Å] and the thione sulfur atom of the other two [Cu-S distances in the range from 2.284(1) to 2.358(1) Å] and to a MeCN solvent molecule [Cu-N distances of 1.983(4) and 2.052(3) Å]. The other two copper ions are in three-fold environment, one trans-coordinated to two tsac ions [Cu-N distances of 1.912(3) and 1.920(3) Å] and to the thione S-atom of a third ligand [d(Cu-S) = 2.531(1) Å], the other one to the thione sulfur atom of three tsac ligands [Cu-S distances in the range from 2.229(1) to 2.334(1) Å]. The clustering renders the metals to short distances from each other, the shorter Cu?Cu distance being 2.6033(7) Å, as to presume the existence of weak inter-metallic interaction within the cluster.  相似文献

Two new binuclear copper complexes, [Cu2(oxpn)(bpy)(pic)(H2O)](pic) (1) and [Cu2(oxpn)(Me2bpy)(pic)](pic) (2) [H2oxpn = N,N′-bis(3-aminopropyl)oxamide; Hpic = 2,4,6-trinitrophenol; bpy = 2,2′-bipyridine; Me2bpy = 4,4′-dimethyl-2,2′-bipyridine], have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, conductivity measurements, IR, UV-visible spectroscopy and single crystal X-ray analyses. Both complexes have similar molecular structures. In complex 1, the central two Cu(II) atoms are bridged by cis-oxpn2− with the Cu1-Cu2 separation of 5.221 Å and the polyhedron of each copper atom is a square-pyramid. Similarly, complex 2 is a cis-oxpn2−-bridged binuclear complex with the Cu1-Cu2 separation of 5.196 Å. Cu1(II) central atom situated in a tetrahedral geometry is four-coordinated and Cu(II) atom situated in a square-pyramidal geometry is five-coordinated. Hydrogen bonding interactions and π-π stacking interactions link the binuclear copper complex 1 or 2 into a 2D infinite network. The antibacterial assays indicate that the two complexes showed better activities than their ligands. The interactions of the two binuclear complexes with herring sperm DNA (HS-DNA) have been studied by UV absorption titration, fluorescence titration and viscosity measurements. The results suggest that the two binuclear complexes bind to HS-DNA via an intercalative mode.  相似文献
