Two new species of Coltricia, C. austrosinensis and C. minima, are described from southern China on the basis of morphological characters and molecular evidence. Phylogenetic analysis based on the internal transcribed spacer (ITS) regions and nuclear large subunit (nLSU) ribosomal RNA gene regions indicated that the two new species were nested within the Coltricia clade in Hymenochaetales. Coltricia austrosinensis is characterized by centrally stipitate basidiocarps, lobed pileal margin, distinctly swollen stipe tip, cinnamon pore surface, large pores (1–3 per mm), and broadly ellipsoid basidiospores measuring 8–10?×?5.5–6.5 μm, with a distribution to date in subtropical China. Coltricia minima is characterized by tiny, centrally stipitate basidiocarps, entire pileal margin, uniform stipe, pileus bearing distinct concentric zones and pore surface dark greyish blue when fresh, small pores (3–4 per mm), narrow tramal hyphae (3.5–4 μm), and broadly ellipsoid to subglobose basidiospores measuring 6–7?×?4–5 μm, and occur in mixed tropical forests.  相似文献

Taxonomic and phylogenetic studies of Haploporus were carried out. Three species in Haploporus, H. cylindrosporus, H. septatus and H. subpapyraceus, are described as new based on morphological differences and molecular phylogenetic analyses inferred from the internal transcribed spacer (ITS), the large subunit nuclear ribosomal RNA gene (nLSU), the small subunit mitochondrial rRNA gene (mtSSU), the second subunit of RNA polymerase II (rpb2) and the translation elongation factor 1-α gene (TEF1) sequences. Haploporus cylindrosporus is characterized by big irregular crystals occasionally present in the subiculum, an abundant oily substance among hyphae and typically cylindrical basidiospores 10–11.5?×?4.5–5 μm; H. septatus differs from other species in the genus by its leathery to corky basidiomata when dry, small round pores (5–6 per mm), simple septate skeletal hyphae at the edge of the dissepiments, and oblong to ellipsoid basidiospores 8.5–11?×?5–6 μm; H. subpapyraceus is separated by white to cream basidiomata, numerous apically simple septate cystidioles and ellipsoid basidiospores 9–12?×?5.5–8 μm. A new species of Phellinus sensu stricto was isolated from diseased Vitis vinifera in the Northern Cape and Limpopo provinces of South Africa. Phellinus resupinatus is described here based on fruit body morphology, internal transcribed spacer (ITS) and large subunit (LSU) phylogenies. Phellinus resupinatus forms a well-supported clade closely related to Phellinus bicuspidatus, a species associated with white rot in oak trees in the United States. Morphologically, P. resupinatus is characterised by its resupinate fruit body shape, straight, ventricose hymenial setae and broadly ellipsoid hyaline basidiospores. It has been isolated from esca-diseased grapevines in the summer rainfall regions of South Africa and is found on the uppermost trunks of declining vines showing symptoms of white rot.  相似文献

Five new Conocybe species are described from Russia based on collections made in different parts of the country. One species (C. olivaceopileata) belongs to sect. Conocybe, two species (C. praticola and C. coniferarum) to sect. Mixtae. The ornamented basidiospores of C. confundens and C. incerta is characteristic for sect. Ochromarasmius. All new species are described based on morphology and, in some cases, on DNA sequencing (ITS rDNA). Photos of basidiocarps, illustrations of microstructures and a comparison with similar taxa are given.  相似文献

Five newly identified species of Fomitiporia (F. alpina, F. gaoligongensis, F. hainaniana, F. subrobusta and F. subtropica) and their morphological and molecular characterisation are described in this paper. Fomitiporia alpina sp. nov. is distinguished by its pileate basidiomata, parallel tramal hyphae and large basidiospores (6.5–8 × 6–8 μm), and by its gymnosperm wood-living habitat. Fomitiporia gaoligongensis sp. nov. is distinct from other species due to its semicircular pileus and subglobose to globose basidiospores (6.5–7.6 × 6–7.4 μm). Fomitiporia hainaniana sp. nov. is marked by its resupinate basidiomata, the presence of setae and small globose basidiospores (4–5 × 3.8–4.4 μm). Fomitiporia subrobusta sp. nov. is characterised by its triquetrous basidiomata, small pores (6–9 per mm) with entire and thick dissepiments, and subglobose to obovoid basidiospores (6.2–6.8 × 5.2–6 μm). Fomitiporia subtropica sp. nov. can be differentiated by its resupinate basidiomata, smaller pores (6–10 per mm) and smaller basidiospores (5.2–6 × 4.4–5 μm). Phylogenetic analysis, based on multi-gene comparison of the internal transcribed spacer regions (ITS), nuclear large subunit ribosomal RNA gene regions (nLSU), the translation elongation factor 1-α gene (tef1α) and the second subunit of RNA polymerase II (rpb2), confirmed affinity with the Fomitiporia species and showed association with similar fungi in the genus.  相似文献

Phylloporia is a monophyletic genus within the Hymenochaetaceae as recovered by nuclear large subunit ribosomal DNA (nLSU) sequences. According to the summarization of 38 species accepted in this genus, Phylloporia is characterized by an absence of setae and the presence of abundant thick-walled, colored and tiny basidiospores, although its other morphological characters are highly diverse. Nine herbarium specimens from China, fitting the morphological concept of Phylloporia, were morphologically and phylogenetically studied in detail. The phylogeny inferred from nLSU sequences shows that the nine specimens formed three terminal lineages within the Phylloporia clade. Two lineages being composed of four specimens from Hainan and three from Guizhou were newly described as Phylloporia minutipora and P. radiata, respectively. In Phylloporia, P. minutipora is distinct by a combination of annual, sessile and imbricate basidiocarps, distinctly concentrically sulcate pileal surface with obtuse margin, angular pores of 12–15 per mm, duplex context separated by a black zone, a dimitic hyphal system, and broadly ellipsoid basidiospores of 2.5–3?×?2–2.5 μm, while P. radiata is distinct by a combination of annual, sessile and imbricate basidiocarps, faintly sulcate and radially striate pileal surface, sharp pileal margin, angular pores of 8–10 per mm, duplex context separated by a black zone, a monomitic hyphal system, and broadly ellipsoid basidiospores of 2.5–3.5?×?2–2.5 μm. The third lineage, comprising two specimens from Hainan, was morphologically determined as Phylloporia pulla. This species was recently combined to Phylloporia based on only morphological characters, and the current study for the first time generated its molecular sequences for phylogenetic reference. A new species of Agaricales, called Laccaria stellata, was collected in a premontane cloud forest in the Fortuna Forest Reserve, Panama, and it is described based on morphological and molecular characteristics. It differs morphologically from all known species of Laccaria by minute, pinkish-orange colored basidiomata, a very thin and translucent pileus, very distant lamellae, 4-spored basidia, and globose basidiospores covered by relatively large echinulae. Molecular rDNA sequence data confirm the separation of this new species from other Laccaria species for which rDNA sequence data are available.  相似文献

New species of the pine fossil wood, Pinus priamurensis sp. nov. (Pinaceae) from the Sazanka Formation (upper Middle Miocene–Upper Miocene) of the Erkovetskii Brown Coal Field (Amur Region) is described. The new species shares some wood anatomical features with modern species of the subsection Pinus (section Pinus, subgenus Pinus). This is the first record of fossil wood of Pinus in the Amur Region.  相似文献

Three new species of Austroboletus are described from Australia. Austroboletus austrovirens has been collected repeatedly in northern Queensland and the Northern Territory, and is primarily distinguished by its dry, green pileus and stipe ornamentation, and boletoid spores with meandering ridges and pits. Austroboletus viscidoviridis is known from southeastern coastal Queensland and Cape Tribulation; it is recognized by a glutinous-viscid, olive-green pileus, brown reticulum on the stipe, and amygdaliform spores with nodulose-tuberculate ornamentation. Austroboletus roseialbus has only been collected in eastern New South Wales and is characterized by a white pileus with subtle rosy tints, and flattened, white, lanose patches; the spores are amygdaliform with irregular alveolate-reticulate ornamentation.  相似文献

A new poroid wood-inhabiting fungal genus, Leifiporia, is proposed, based on morphological and molecular evidence, which is typified by L. rhizomorpha sp. nov. The genus is characterized by an annual growth habit, resupinate basidiocarps with white to cream pore surface, a dimitic hyphal system with generative hyphae bearing clamp connections and branching mostly at right angles, skeletal hyphae present in the subiculum only and distinctly thinner than generative hyphae, IKI–, CB–, and ellipsoid, hyaline, thin-walled, smooth, IKI–, CB– basidiospores. Sequences of ITS and LSU nrRNA gene regions of the studied samples were generated, and phylogenetic analyses were performed with maximum likelihood, maximum parsimony and Bayesian inference methods. The phylogenetic analysis based on molecular data of ITS + nLSU sequences showed that Leifiporia belonged to the core polyporoid clade and was closely related to Diplomitoporus overholtsii and Lopharia cinerascens, and then grouped with Pycnoporus and Trametes. Further investigation was obtained for more representative taxa in the Polyporaceae based on nLSU sequences, in which the results demonstrated that the genus Leifiporia formed a monophyletic lineage with a strong support (100 % BS, 100 % BP, 1.00 BPP). Both morphological and molecular evidence confirmed the placement of the new genus in the core polyporoid clade. In addition, a new combination, Leifiporia eucalypti, is proposed based on examination of its type material and phylogeny.  相似文献

It is rather difficult to construct a system of gray voles of the tribe Microtini by a set of morphological and karyological characters because form generation is mosaic at these organization levels. The sequence of the mitochondrial cytochrome b gene was used to study the phylogenetic relationships and taxonomic position of the Central Asian subgenus Blanfordimys. Afghan vole Microtus (Blanfordimys) afghanus and Bucharian vole M. (Blanfordimys) bucharensis clustered with Pamir vole M. (Neodon) juldaschi, which is conventionally assigned to another subgenus. The last two species proved to be significantly closer to each other than either of them was to M. (Blanfordimys) afghanus, which disagrees with the monophyletic origin accepted for Blanfordimys. The genetic distances between the species of the subgenus Blanfordmys and M. juldaschi were comparable with the distances between the sister subgenera Microtus s. str. and Sumeriomys or Pallasiinus and Alexandromys and with the basal divergence of supraspecific clades in the subgenus Terricola. It was assumed that a special Central Asian group of species exists within the tribe Microtini and includes species of the subgenus Blanfordimys and M. juldaschi and that the subgenera Neodon and Blanfordimys should be revised.  相似文献

Two new species from northern Thailand, Asterostroma bambusicola and A. vararioides, are described and illustrated. Asterostroma bambusicola is characterized by globose, echinulate, and amyloid basidiospores and growing on rotten bamboo. Asterostroma vararioides is distinguished by the presence of Vararia-like dichohyphae, subglobose, smooth, and amyloid basidiospores and growing on bark of living angiosperm trees. In the phylogenetic tree inferred from a combined dataset of ITS and nLSU sequence data of Peniophoraceae, A. bambusicola forms a distinct lineage in the sect. Asterostroma clade, whereas A. vararioides and A. laxum form the sect. Laevispora clade. Asterostroma andinum, reported from China for the first time, forms a distinct lineage sister to Gloiothele spp. and Scytinostroma portentosum group. Asterostroma muscicola is reported from Thailand and China for the first time. A key to the species of Asterostroma from Thailand and China is provided.  相似文献

Data on 15 species of the subgenus Pseudotiorhynchus Magnano, 2004 of the genus Otiorhynchus Germar, 1822 from Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, and Iran are given. Otiorhynchus lukarevskayae Davidian, sp. n., O. karakalensis Davidian et Savitsky, sp. n., O. konstantini Davidian et Savitsky, sp. n., O. muratovi Savitsky et Davidian, sp. n., O. kopetdagicus Savitsky et Davidian, sp. n., and O. shakhensis Savitsky et Davidian, sp. n. from Turkmenistan, and O. khorasanus Savitsky et Davidian, sp. n. from Iran are described as new to science. A new synonymy is established: Pseudotiorhynchus Magnano, 2004 = Crassorhynchus Magnano, 2004, syn. n. Otiorhynchus iranensis Magnano, 2004 is transferred from the subgenus Protarammichnus Voss, 1960 to the subgenus Pseudotiorhynchus. Lectotype of O. conicirostris Stierlin, 1886 is designated. A key to 15 species of the subgenus Pseudotiorhynchus is given. The new subgenus Microhanibotus Savitsky et Davidian, subgen. n. is established for the new species O. ghilarovi Davidian et Savitsky, sp. n. from the Western Kopet Dagh in Turkmenistan. Microhanibotus subgen. n. is closely related to the subgenera Pseudotiorhynchus, Hanibotus Reitter, 1912 and Nubidanus Reitter, 1912.  相似文献

Dextrinoporus aquaticus gen. et sp. nov. is proposed based on ITS, nLSU, RPB2, and mtSSU genes molecular phylogeny and morphological characteristics from southwestern China. The new species is characterized by an annual, pileate basidiocarp with a poroid hymenophore, a monomitic hyphal system, thick-walled generative hyphae with dextrinoid and cyanophilous reactions, presence of dendrohyphidia and ellipsoid, thin-walled, and acyanophilous basidiospores. Phylogenetic analyses based on four gene sequences indicate that D. aquaticus belongs to Polyporaceae in which it has an isolated position, and the new taxon is related to the clade of Lopharia cinerascens and Dentocorticium sulphurellum.  相似文献

Orostachys (Crassulaceae) is a small genus of succulent plants having a predominantly East Asian distribution. Recent DNA sequence comparisons revealed polyphyletic nature of the genus and found distant relationship between its infrageneric taxa. Here we present the first molecular phylogeny of Orostachys subsection Appendiculatae based on a large number of ITS rDNA sequences representing most currently recognized members of the subsection and utilizing secondary structure information. Ribosomal spacer was a highly informative marker and provided a phylogenetic signal sufficient to resolve relationships at different scales, from affinities between species to a fine geographic structure in broadly sampled species. It was also conservative enough to allow unambiguous alignment and construction of consensus secondary structure models for ITS1 and ITS2. These models displayed a number of molecular synapomorphies defining most lineages established in our analyses. We revealed a major split in the subsection placing three species, O. spinosa, O. japonica and O. chanetii, into a strongly supported clade to the exclusion of O. thyrsiflora. Phenotypically distinct monotypic genus Meterostachys was also resolved as a part of the subsection’s clade and showed affinity to O. thyrsiflora. Our data suggested that morphology-based species concept for O. thyrsiflora requires reassessment.  相似文献

Zeugotaenia Motschulsky, 1860 is resurrected as a valid name for the subgenus of Chrysolina with the type species Chrysomela limbata Fabricius, 1775. Diagnosis of the subgenus is compiled. Neotypes of Chrysomela limbata and Ch. limbifera Küster, 1846, and lectotypes of Chrysomela findelii Suffrian, 1851, Ch. hochhuthii Suffrian, 1851, and Ch. discipennis Faldermann, 1835 are designated. The types of Chrysomela limbata jenisseiensis Breit, 1920 and Chrysolina limbata kavani Bechyné, 1950 and the topotypes of Chrysomela limbata luigionii Depoli, 1936 are examined. Chrysolina furva Peyerimhoff, 1926 and Ch. dohrnii Fairmaire, 1865 do not belong to the subgenus Zeugotaenia.  相似文献
