<正> Pan et Wang (1981) reported that the dorsal shield of the galeaspid, Qingmenaspis, held a large opening on each side, but owing to the ill preservation they reservedly assumed it likely to be a dorsal branchial opening. This structure was also recognized later in Lungmenshanaspis by Wang Nian-zhong (1991). He considered its function to remain obscure. More recently Pan (1992) described the structure in a number of new galeaspids and renamed it fenestra. He distingushed the structure into two kinds: the lateral dorsal fenestra, which is narrow and small, existing in Pentathyraspis and Microhoplonaspis, and the dorsal fenestra, which is broad, found in Macrothyraspis, Sinoszechuanaspis as well as Qingmenaspis. Pan assumed the fenestra to be coverd by the skin when the creatures were alive, and to play a role in hydrodynamic. He regarded this structure as a unique character for the fenestra galeaspids.  相似文献

In early summer, 1957, a small collection of parasitic copepods was obtained from the body surface of certain marine fishes along the coast of peichihli Bay. This paper presents a new subspecies of Botoid fishes, collected from Langao in Shaanxi province, China, in June, 1979. Leptbotia tientaiensis hansuiensis, subsp, nov. Diagnosis. closely resembling Leptobotia tientaiensis tientaiensis (Wu) and Leptobotia tientaiensis compressicauda (Nichols), but distinguishable by characters as given in the following table.  相似文献

The Chishui River is the only undammed first-order tributary of the upper Yangtze River Basin. It is an important part of the “National Nature Reserve for Rare and Endemic Fishes of the Upper Yangtze River”, which plays important roles in fish conservation. To determine main environmental factors that affect the breeding activities of fishes with drifting eggs in this river, investigations on fish resources of early life stages were carried out in Chishui Reach from March to July in 2015 and April to August in 2016. A total of 27 species of fish early resources, belonging to 3 orders, 7 families and 22 genera, were collected during the investigation period. Nine of these species Pseudolaubuca engraulis, Squalidus argentatus, Gobiobotia filifer, Botia superciliaris, Parabotia fasciata, Parabotia bimaculata, Leptobotia elongate, Leptobotia taeniops and Lepturichthys fimbriata laid drifting eggs in the running water. Canonical Correspondence Analysis (CCA) revealed various breeding environmental requirements for these species. Specially, B. superciliari, P. fasciata, P. bimaculata, L. elongate, L. taeniops and L. fimbriata tended to lay eggs when the water discharge was increasing, while P. engraulis and S. argentatus showed an opposite trend. Additionally, G. filifer preformed differently between 2015 and 2016. In the low flow year, their reproductive activities were positively associated with the water discharge. However, in the high flow year, no significant relation between the reproduction activities and water discharge was observed. These results strengthen our understanding of reproductive behavior of different fish species and provide valuable insights into fish conservation. © 2019, Institute of Hydrobiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. The present paper deals with the Cyprinoid fishes of the genus Gymnocypris col-lected during May to October, 1961, from Gyantse (江孜) and Shigatse (日喀则) insouthern Tibet. Altogether 9 species are presented in this paper, including 4 new speciesand 1 new subspecies. The type specimens are kept in the Institute of Zoology, Acade-mia Sinica, Peking. 1. Evolutionary lineages differ with regard to the variety of forms they exhibit. We investigated whether comparisons of morphological diversity can be used to identify differences in ecological diversity in two sister clades of centrarchid fishes. Species in the Lepomis clade (sunfishes) feed on a wider range of prey items than species in the Micropterus clade (black basses). We quantified disparity in morphology of the feeding apparatus as within-clade variance on principal components and found that Lepomis exhibits 4.4 and 7.4 times more variance than Micropterus on the first two principal components. However, lineages are expected to diversify morphologically and ecologically given enough time, and this pattern could have arisen due to differences in the amount of time each clade has had to accumulate variance. Despite being sister groups, the age of the most recent common ancestor of Lepomis is approximately 14.6 million years ago and its lineages have a total length of 86.4 million years while the age of the most recent common ancestor of Micropterus is only about 8.4 million years ago, and it has a total branch length of 42.9 million years. We used the Brownian motion model of character evolution to test the hypothesis that time of independent evolution of each clade's lineages accounts for differences in morphological disparity and determined that the rates of evolution of the first two principal components are 4.4 and 7.7 times greater in Lepomis. Thus, time and phylogeny do not account for the differences in morphological disparity observed in Lepomis and Micropterus, and other diversity-promoting mechanisms should be investigated.  相似文献

There are 10 genera and more than 100 species ot Myxosporedians of freshwater fishes from Lake Hauma, 30°14′N, 115°25′E Wangshi City, Hubei Province, of which 19 are described below. 1. Mitraspora minuta sp. nov. Host: Cyprinus carpio, ureter and urinary bladder. Cyst unknown. Spore rounded in thecal and sutural view, with 7—8 striations on shell surface and finely bending behind but not easily seen. Diameter of spore 7—8μ, width 6.0μ, two eggshaped polar capsules paralleling along the anterior end of spore, length of polar capsule 1.8—2.0μ, width 0.8—1.0μ.  相似文献
