It has been shown that occlusion of the adrenal vein causes an increase in renal vascular resistance in the ipsilateral kidney in Wistar Kyoto rats (WKY). The most probable mechanism of this phenomenon is the direct inflow of adrenal catecholamines to the kidney by the adrenal renal portal circulation (ARPC). As the number of vessels of the ARPC is bigger and the tonic sympathetic activity is higher in spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHR), the aim of the current study was to compare the effect of adrenal vein occlusion on renal vascular resistance between SHR and WKY. Mean arterial blood pressure and renal blood flow (RBF) were measured and renal vascular resistance (RVR) was calculated before and after closure of the adrenal vein. Occlusion of the adrenal vein significantly reduced RBF and increased RVR in both strains of rats. The rise of the RVR was significantly higher in SHR than in WKY. Therefore we assume that the hemodynamic responsiveness of the kidney due to increase in blood flow through ARPC is greater in SHR and may contribute to the development of arterial hypertension in this strain of rat.  相似文献

Temperature may have significant influence on vascular tone in such cases as organ preservation, coronary bypass surgery, and extracorporeal circulation. The aim of this research was to study the direct effect of temperature variation on vascular tone in an attempt to elucidate the mechanisms involved. In a first series of experiments, the isometric tension of two different vessels (rat thoracic aorta and pig renal branch artery) was studied at different temperatures. To study the role of calcium in this response, a second series of experiments was performed. In this the vessels were incubated with the intracellular chelator BAPTA/AM. Further experiments were performed to test the effect of cold storage. Our results show that changes in temperature lead to different results in pig renal artery and rat aorta. A decrease in temperature induced a highly reproducible relaxation in rat aorta, whereas pig renal artery presented cooling-induced contraction. Moreover, whereas calcium depletion failed to inhibit cooling-induced relaxation in rat aorta, it did not provoke cooling-induced contraction in pig renal artery. Similar responses were obtained with cold storage and calcium depletion. We intend to demonstrate that, just as the effect of temperature variation on pig renal artery is due to a metabolic mechanism, its effect on rat aorta may be due to structural factors. This hypothesis is supported by the result of histological studies which demonstrate a higher proportion of elastin fibres in rat aorta than in pig renal artery.  相似文献

In experiments, performed on 85 dogs of both sex ortho- and heterotopic total autotransplantation of the small intestine and extracorporal connection of the allogenic segments of the small intestine have been carried out. Certain dependency of morphological changes of the intraorganic blood bed on the operation model has been stated. Essential changes in the blood bed at the heterotopic autotransplantation depend on inadequate regional hemodynamics in the graft. Therefore, the heterotopic model should be considered less preferable than the orthotopic one. One of the peculiarities in reconstruction of the intraorganic vascular bed after ortho- and heterotropic transplantation of the small intestine is, evidently, opening of lympho-venular anastomoses.  相似文献

By means of ultrasonic method used in acute experiments on cats with open chest under artificial lung ventilation the authors studied the blood flow in low-lobar pulmonary artery and the vein, the blood pressure in pulmonary artery as well as the balance between output of right and left ventricles in experimental pulmonary edemas caused by intravenous infusion of mixture fatty acids. It was shown, that acute injury of lungs vessels produces redistribution of blood flow to the lesser circulation, increases the pressure in pulmonary artery. The pattern of pulsating blood flow in lobar artery and vein changes. The authors assume that in situation, when lung vessels permeability is already deranged redistribution of the blood to the lesser circulation aggravates the degree of edema.  相似文献

Mouse renal transplantation is a technically challenging procedure. Although the first kidney transplants in mice were performed over 34 years ago and refined some years later, the classical techniques of mouse renal transplantation required clamping both vena cava and aorta simultaneously and carry out suture anastomoses of the renal artery and vein in a heterotopic position. In our laboratory, we have successfully developed mouse orthotopic kidney transplantation for the first time, using a rapid “cuffed” renal vein technique for vessel anastomosis, wherein the donor’s renal vein was inserted through an intravenous catheter, folded back and tied. During grafting, the cuffed renal vein was directly inserted into the recipient’s renal vein without the need for the clamping vena cava and suturing of renal vein. This technique allowed for the exact transplantation of the kidney into the original position, compared to the classical technique, and has significantly shortened the clamping time due to a quicker and precise anastomosis of renal vein as described. This also allowed for a quicker recovery of the lower extremity activity, reduction in myoglobinuria with resultant kidney graft survival of 88.9%. Thus we believe that the cuffed renal vein technique simplifies microvascular anastomoses and affords important additional benefits.  相似文献

The intraorganic veins of the human urinary bladder have been studied in a vast sectional material. The veins within the organ make an enormous multilayered plexus which is differently organized in various layers of its wall. Abundant anastomoses, multiplicated ways for outflow from every layer, manifested interactions between the venous plexuses are specific for the intraorganic venous bed of the urinary bladder. The structures for an active regulating the hemomicrocirculatory blood stream are widely presented in the urinary bladder. In its every tunic certain specific morpho-functional features for organization and adaptation of the intraorganic venous bed are revealed.  相似文献

The investigation has been performed on 337 preparations of human kidneys and on 129 clinical angiograms of kidneys at different age without renal and cardiovascular system pathology. A complex of morphological techniques, mathematical method including, has been used. Peculiarities in architectonics of the intraorganic renal arterial vessels have been described during various age periods of postnatal ontogenesis; essential variations of the renal artery index have been revealed in newborns and adolescents. They reflect functional rearrangement of the vessels during these age periods. Six periods in formation of the renal arterial intraorganic vessels have been determined, when probability of decrease and failure of their compensatory potentialities is especially great.  相似文献

The scientific objectives was to quantify the vascular changes in the brain, eye fundus, renal parenchyma, and splanchnic network. Heart, Portal, Jugular, femoral veins were investigate by Echography. The cerebral mesenteric, renal and ophthalmic arteries were investigated by Doppler. Eye fundus vein an papilla were investigated by optical video eye fundus. The Left ventricle volume decreased as usual in HDT. The cerebral and ophthalmic vascular resistances did'nt change whereas the eye fundus papilla and vein, and the Jugular vein increased. These arterial and venous data confirm the existence of cephalic venous blood stasis without sign of intracranial hypertension. On the other hand the kidney volume increased which is in agreement with blood flow stagnation at this level. At last the Mesenteric vascular resistance decreased and the Portal vein section increased in HDT which is in favor of an increase in flow and flow volume through the splanchnic area.  相似文献

Summary The adrenergic innervation of the extrarenal blood vessels of the rat left kidney was investigated by fluorescence histochemistry and by electron microscopy. The trunk of the renal artery proximal to the aorta is elastic and appears to be very sparsely innervated. In contrast, near the kidney the renal artery—which divides into 3 to 4 large branches of the muscular type possesses a dense adrenergic innervation. The adrenergic terminal axons are situated in the adventitia close to the external elastic lamella, but only rarely in close contact with smooth muscle cells. In most instances several terminal axons are grouped and enclosed by a Schwann cell, single axons being rare. All terminal axons are able to take up and to store 5-hydroxydopamine which strongly suggests that they are adrenergic. The innervation of the renal vein is more sparse than that of the muscular arteries but somewhat denser than that of the elastic artery. In addition, close to the origin of the renal artery the presence of small intensively fluorescent (SIF) cells as well as of some adrenergic ganglion cells is noted. The latter are situated in the adrenergic nonterminal axon bundles, which run parallel to the blood vessels.It is concluded that the uneven adrenergic innervation along the artery as well as individual variations in the branching of the artery are the main causes of the unusually high individual variations of the NA content of this organ such as used in pharmacological experiments.  相似文献

To understand how arterial-to-venous (AV) oxygen shunting influences kidney oxygenation, a mathematical model of oxygen transport in the renal cortex was created. The model consists of a multiscale hierarchy of 11 countercurrent systems representing the various branch levels of the cortical vasculature. At each level, equations describing the reactive-advection-diffusion of oxygen are solved. Factors critical in renal oxygen transport incorporated into the model include the parallel geometry of arteries and veins and their respective sizes, variation in blood velocity in each vessel, oxygen transport (along the vessels, between the vessels and between vessel and parenchyma), nonlinear binding of oxygen to hemoglobin, and the consumption of oxygen by renal tissue. The model is calibrated using published measurements of cortical vascular geometry and microvascular Po(2). The model predicts that AV oxygen shunting is quantitatively significant and estimates how much kidney Vo(2) must change, in the face of altered renal blood flow, to maintain cortical tissue Po(2) at a stable level. It is demonstrated that oxygen shunting increases as renal Vo(2) or arterial Po(2) increases. Oxygen shunting also increases as renal blood flow is reduced within the physiological range or during mild hemodilution. In severe ischemia or anemia, or when kidney Vo(2) increases, AV oxygen shunting in proximal vascular elements may reduce the oxygen content of blood destined for the medullary circulation, thereby exacerbating the development of tissue hypoxia. That is, cortical ischemia could cause medullary hypoxia even when medullary perfusion is maintained. Cortical AV oxygen shunting limits the change in oxygen delivery to cortical tissue and stabilizes tissue Po(2) when arterial Po(2) changes, but renders the cortex and perhaps also the medulla susceptible to hypoxia when oxygen delivery falls or consumption increases.  相似文献

The combination of the collateral blood flow in the heart and lungs with effects of Alpine hypoxia and pronounced additional loads was found to allow the detecting of plastical capacities of these organs in a sufficiently full volume. The experiments were performed in 273 dogs by microscopic, macro-microscopic, macroscopic and partly functional methods. The collateral coronary blood flow (after ligation of the anterior interventricular artery) under Alpine conditions (3200 m over the sea level) combined with compensatory hyperfunction of the heart (due to stenosing of the aorta arc), gets worse as compared with the conditions of the valley. In these experiments in mountains the extra- and intraorganic anastomoses are more pronounced, the capacity of the coronary artery branches being less pronounced than in the valley. The muscle fibres grow thicker, the heart weight enlarges, the diffusion distances of capillaries increase and the ratio of the arterial bed capacity and the heart weight decreases. Under Alphine conditions (as compared with the valley) the collateral blood flow of lungs deteriorates (after ligation of two lobar branches of the pulmonary artery or of the lobar vein) against the background of additional loads (stenosing of the aorta arc or pulmonectomy). Deterioration of the collateral bloodflow is related with the combination of conditions of the alphine hypoxia with additional loads resulting in a weakening or even block of compensatory reactions of pulmonary or bronchial arteries and veins.  相似文献

The creation of successful vascular anastomoses is of primary importance in many surgical fields. Numerous attempts to automate this process have been made. These techniques have slowly gained acceptance, but their use is still limited. This report details feasibility testing of a new prototype stapler that automates the rollover sleeve technique for venous vascular anastomoses. Male and female mongrel dogs (n=7) (25-32 kg) were used. A segment of the right (n=5) or left (n=2) iliac vein was harvested for interposition grafts after the contra lateral side was transected. In each dog, two end-to-end venous anastomoses at the interposition grafts were performed. The standard anastomosis employed continuous mattress sutures. The experimental anastomosis was performed with a new prototype surgical stapler. The stapled anastomosis was proximal and the sutured was distal. In all experiments, it was possible to perform the experimental anastomosis with the stapler. Complications included two small leaks, one due to misfiring of a single pin in one experimental site. These leaks required suture reinforcement. One dog died of hemorrhage due to a slipped suture at the vein harvest site. One vein had thrombus seen at the sutured site although no technical abnormalities at either of the anastomoses could be found. After two weeks, grafts were inspected grossly and histologically. Healing appeared normal. There was a trend for less inflammatory cells infiltrating stapled sites; however, this was not statistically significant. The experiments demonstrate that this device can automate the rollover sleeve technique for venous anastomoses.  相似文献

Appropriate nephron function is dependent on the intrarenal arrangement of blood vessels. The preferred and primary means to study the architecture of intrarenal circulation has been by filling it with opaque substances such as india ink, radio-opaque contrast material, or various polymers for study by light or scanning electron microscopy. With such methodologies, superficial vessels may obscure deep vessels and little quantitative information may be obtained. Serial-section microtomy has not been practical because of problems relating to alignment and registration of adjacent sections, lost sections, and preparation time and effort. Microcomputed tomography (micro-CT) overcomes such limitations and provides a means to study the three-dimensional architecture of filled vessels within an intact rodent kidney and to obtain more quantitative information. As an example of micro-CT's capabilities, we review the use of micro-CT to study the alterations in renal microvasculature caused by the development of liver cirrhosis after chronic bile duct ligation. In this example, micro-CT evidence shows a selective decrease in cortical vascular filling in the kidney, with a maintenance of medullary vascular filling. These changes may contribute to the salt and water retention that accompanies cirrhosis. These results indicate that micro-CT is a promising method to evaluate renal vascular architecture in the intact rodent kidney relative to physiological and pathological function.  相似文献

Blood pressure and renal blood flow were monitored in conscious normotensive (N) and 2-kidney Goldblatt hypertensive (H) dogs. Plasma renin activity was significantly increased 4–8 days after partial renal artery occlusion. At this time intravenous administration of meclofenamate, 5 mg/kg, had no effect on blood pressure in the N or H or on renal vascular resistance in the N or in the H (contralateral kidney). The renal vasoconstrictor response to angiotensin II was increased in duration by meclofenamate in both the N and H. In contrast to the absence of an effect of meclofenamate on renal vascular resistance in the conscious dog, the synthesis inhibitor caused a consistent increase in RVR in the N and H when they were anesthetized in the terminal experiment. These results suggest the lack of an influence of prostaglandins on renal vascular resistance in the unaffected kidney in Goldblatt hypertension.  相似文献

Artificial ventilation of increased volumes produces more intense pressure increase in pulmonary artery and lung vessels resistance than in initial ventilation but the blood flow was slightly changed. The authors assume that artificial ventilation of increased frequencies or volumes in pulmonary edema due to pulmonary circulation change reduces the pulmonary edema intensity at the beginning.  相似文献

Under study were changes of intraorganic blood vessels of the heart and lungs in some experimental defects (open arterial defect, coarctation of the aorta, simultaneous existence of these two defects, stenosis of the pulmonary trunk, defect of the interatrial septum, triad of Fallot, syndrom of Lutembachet). Morphological data correlated with blood pressure in the pulmonary circulation and cardiac chambers. The complex of compensatory-adaptational mechanisms consisting of comparatively active and passive zones is formed in the heart and lungs. In most cases the changes develop in the vessels already existing. In hypertrophy of the myocardium when there is hypertension and hypervolemia in coronary vessels, sinusoids perform the function of blood reservoir, to a certain degree balancing the blood pressure, and luminar ducts relieve the muscle from excessive blood. The changes in the vascular system of the lung are directly dependent upon the pressure in the pulmonary circulation and the duration of observation. The closing arteries are the most active link in the chain of compensatory-adaptational mechanisms.  相似文献

Dimentions of the renal corpuscle, proximal and distal convoluted tubules have been studied in the dog kidney, normal and the morphofunctional state of the organ after cutting and ligation of its different lymphatic vessels (4 series of experiments in 158 dogs). The observations have been performed in 0.5, 1, 3, 10-160 days of the experiments. Histological, histochemical and morphometrical methods have been applied; the residual nitrogen in blood has been determined. During early stages, disturbances in the pathways of lymph outflow result in development of edema and albumin saturation of interstitium. granular distrophy of convoluted tubules epithelium in the kidneys. In 40-160 days stromal diffuse sclerosis of the medullary substance develops. The changes described and deterioration of the nitrogen-excretory function of the organ are especially pronounced after the disturbance in the pathways of lymph outflow are combined with a simultaneous extirpation of the contralateral kidney. Under these conditions the processes of the renal compensatory hypertrophy slow down. The morphofunctional changes after the disturbance in the pathways of lymph outflow from the compensatory hypertrophied kidney are the least pronounced.  相似文献

The distribution of lymphoid cells in the carp head kidney was investigated in relation to the vascular system. Blood vessels in the head kidney were histologically identified into arteries, sinusoids and two types of veins: renal veins and portal, which were distinguished by India ink injection into the caudal vein. By histological and histoplanimetrical observations it was found that the head kidney contained a number of lymphoid cells, which mainly aggregate around the connections between the portal veins and sinusoids, and that the cellular density of the aggregations was higher than in the thymus.
Pigment-containing cell clusters were also observed around these connections. This arrangement of the blood vessels suggests that it is one of the structures able to trap foreign materials, and the occurrence of the lymphoid clusters around the portal veins is a phylogenetic sign of the morphological division between granulopoietic and lymphatic tissues in the carp head kidney.  相似文献

The extrinsic ovarian blood vessels were studied in 134 ewes. In view of recent evidence that uterine luteolysis may involve venoarterial transfer of prostaglandin F2alpha in the ovarian pedicle, particular attention was paid to the interrelationships between veins and arteries. The ovarian artery and utero-ovarian vein are large vessels of conventional structure and lie in close apposition. Their walls are slightly thinner on their apposing sides. The ovarian branches of the ovarian artery are very tortuous, and closely intertwined with the plexiform ovarian branches of the utero-ovarian vein. An extensive plexus of small veins surrounds the ovarian artery and its ovarian branches. Within this plexus are many thin-walled, dilated regions, interspersed with narrow, thick-walled segments. Valves are inconstantly present at sites of entry of branches of the plexus into the major veins. Small numbers of arterio-venous anastomoses are present in the distal part of the ovarian pedicle. Unless blood can flow in a veno-arterial direction through arterio-venous anastomoses or capillary beds, the structural barrier between uterine venous and ovarian arterial blood is substantial.  相似文献

The corrosion technique was used to demonstrate the presence of the "sublobular artery", a constant vessel with a special profile of the dog kidney, generating after two divisions the so-called interlobular arteries as a third generation of branches. More rarely arteriae interlobulares emerge also directly from the arcuate artery. The sublobular arteries (= parent vessels of the interlobular arteries) are characterized by their particular origin, branching type, and by having no or sporadically disposed glomeruli. For this reason, the authors suggest the acception of the term "arteria sublobularis" in the international nomenclature of renal vessels. According to authors' opinion the dog kidney is composed of a number of conical vascular-parenchymatous units, each containing in their axis a sublobular artery of the second order ("conical" architectonics of the renal cortex).  相似文献
