记述采自海南省尖峰蚋属蚋亚属Simulium(Simulium)一新种,乐东蚋Simulium(Simulium)ledongense sp.nov.。新种隶属多叉蚋组Simulium multistriatum-group,与秦氏蚋Simulium qiniCao et al.,1993和鞍阳蚋Simulium dphippiodum Chen and Wen,1999近缘。对其各虫期形态进行描述并与其近缘种比较作分类讨论。模式标本保存于遗阳医学院生物学教研室。     

四川蚋属二新种记述(双翅目,蚋科)

中国长白山蚋属一新种(双翅目,蚋科)

记述长白山蚋属蚋亚属Simulium(Simulium)土根蚋组tuberosum-group 1新种.模式标本存放于贵阳医学院生物学教研室.皱板蚋,新种Simulium(Simulium) rugosum sp.nov.(图1～14)隶属于蚋科蚋属蚋亚属土根蚋组,主要特征是雄虫生殖腹板马鞍形,侧突中凹,具半圆形腹中突,板体具众多皱纹,与报告自西伯利亚的S.(S.)gugatum (Boldarueva)近似,但后者(根据Yankovsky,2002的描述和附图)仅知雄虫和蛹,其雄虫足色,中骨形状,阳基侧突钩数以及蛹呼吸丝形状和茧编织疏松等特征与新种有明显差异.正模♀,吉林长白山(42° 10′N,100°20′E;海拔2 051 m).副模:6♀♀,3♂♂,12蛹,6幼虫,同正模,吴慧、黄若洋采.词源:新种种名以其雄性生殖腹板具众多皱纹而命名.     

海南岛蚋类研究I绳蚋三新种记述（双翅目：蚋科）

记述采自海南岛尖蜂岭和五指山的蚋属绳蚋亚属Simulium(Gomphostilbia )3新种,即曲端绳蚋S.(G.)curvastylum sp.nov.,黑股绳蚋S.(G.)nigrofemoralum sp.nov.和膨股绳蚋S.(G)tumum sp.nov.。分别对其成虫和幼期作形态描述并与其近缘种比较作分类讨论。

记述采自神农架自然保护区蚋科昆虫1新种.根据雌虫盾片无斑纹,爪简单,雄虫生殖肢端节具基突,生殖腹板无齿,蛹具3对呼吸丝等特征,新种隶属于蚋属蚋亚属Simulium(Simulium)的块根蚋组tuberosum-group.新种依其雄虫生殖腹板呈亚箭形的特殊性状,雌虫食窦弓具中突及蛹头胸毛多分支呈刷状等综合特征,可与蚋属已知种包括该组的近缘种相区别.正模♀,副模,1♀,1♂,9蛹,4幼虫,均采自神农架山溪急流的石块上.模式标本存放于贵阳医学院生物学教研室.     

陕西省蚋属一新种记述(双翅目:蚋科)

Simulium (Simulium) liubaense, sp. nov. is described based on the female specimens collected from Liuba, Shaanxi Province, China. This species is assigned to the variegotum-group of the subgenus Simulium, and is closely related to S. (S.) jingfui Cai and An, 2008, S. (S.) taiwanicum Takaoka, 1979, S. (S.) hackeri Edwards 1928, S. (S.) chamlongi Takaoka and Suzuki, 1984. However it is clearly differentiated from them by the structure of cibarium, genital fork, genital plate, paraproct and cercus of the female. All the specimens are kept in the Medical Entomology Collection Gallery, Academy of Military Medical Sciences, Beijing.     

广东蚋属二新种记述(双翅目：蚋科)

Five speices of Simuliidae, Simulium (Eusimulium) aureohirtum Brunetti,1911, S. (Simulium ) quinquestriatum (Shiraki, 1935) S.(Gomphostilbia ) pingxiangense An & Hao, 1990, S.(S.) shangchuanense sp. Nov. , S.(S.) spoonatum sp. Nov. were collected from Shangchuan Island, Guangdong Province, China. Both adult and pupal stages of the new species are described in this paper. All the specimens are kept in the Medical Entomological Specimen Building, Institute of Microbiology and Epidemiology Academy of Military Medical Sciences, Beijing.     

青海特蚋亚属一新种(双翅目:蚋科)

Simulium (Tetisimulium) xiaodaoense sp. nov. is described based on the female specimens collected from Qinghai, China. This species is assigned to the subgenus Tetisimulium, and is closely related to S. (T.) tachengense An and Mahe, 1994 and S. (T.) wutaishanense An and Yan, 2003. However, it is clearly differentiated from them by the structure of gonapophyses, genital fork, genital plate, paraproct and cercus of the female. All the specimens are kept in the Medical Entomology Collection Gallery, Academy of Military Sciences, Beijing.

A NEW BLACKFLY SPECIES OF SIMULIUM (DIPTERA: SIMULIIDAE) FROM GUIZHOU PROVINCE,CHINA*

Abstract The present paper deals with a new species of Simulium (Simulium) from Leigongshan, Guizhou province, S. (S.) qianense sp. nov. The specific name was given in the place of production. On the basis of the morphological characters, the new species (S.) qianense sp. nov evidently falls into S. variegatum species‐group, is most similar to S. (S.) taiwanicum, 1979, but can be distinguished from the latter by the characteristic pattern of scutum and legs color in the both sexes, the shape of male geritalia and several characters in the larva. The type specimens are kept in the Department of Biology of the Guiyang Medical College.

A revision of the <Emphasis Type="Italic">Heterospathe elegans</Emphasis> (<Emphasis Type="Italic">Arecaceae</Emphasis>) complex in New Guinea

Summary  Three closely affiliated species of Heterospathe Scheff. (H. elegans (Becc.) Becc., H. humilis Becc. and H. versteegiana Becc.) from New Guinea are revised. They are reduced to a single species which is divided into two subspecies, and the new combination H. elegans subsp. humilis (Becc.) M. S. Trudgen & W. J. Baker is made. The subspecies can be readily distinguished by their growth habit. Epitypes are designated for the three previously published names, as informative material on the habit is not included in the existing type specimens. A new, potentially related species is described as H. pullenii M. S. Trudgen & W. J. Baker.
