Three new species of the genus Gammarus are described from Lijiang, Yunnan Province, South China. Gammarus elevatus sp. nov. is characterized by mid-dorsal keel on pleonites 1-3 and compressed elevation on urosomites 1-2; G. denticulatus sp. nov. by many small spinules and setae on pleonites 1-3; G. stagnarius sp. nov. by lack of calceoli on antenna 2 and shorter inner ramus of uropod 3. These amphipods are compared with other known Gammarus species from China.  相似文献

Hyalella is the only epigean freshwater amphipod present in Chile . H. chiloensis, H. costera and H. kochi are here described and illustrated. H. kochi is distributed in highland areas of the Andes in northern Chile; it is characterized by a short ramus on uropod 3 and a hammer-shaped gnathopod 1. H. costera and H. chiloensis are present in lowland areas, the latter restricted to the southern part of the country. These two species have a long ramus on uropod 3, but they differ in the shape and length of the palp on maxilla 1, the setation of peraeopods 3, 4, and telson. The presence in Chile of H. fossamancinii Cavalieri, 1959 is also reported here.  相似文献

The most caudal limb in crayfish, the uropod, has two rami, the exopodite and the endopodite. Results of earlier experiments (J.E. Mittenthal et al. (1985) W. Roux's Arch. Dev. Biol. 194, 121-130) indicated that ramus morphogenetic fields in the two rami are equivalent and tandem. Thus the proximal (inner) junction of the rami, where intersegmental membrane separates them from each other and from the coxa, is analogous to a boundary between segments of the body or of a leg. In this region a discontinuity in the positional information carried by the ramus fields might occur. To characterize the morphogenetic fields in the region near this junction we have exchanged the medial and lateral margins of the two rami, performing the four possible grafting operations of this kind. While an experimentally generated discontinuity between the lateral margin of the exopodite and the medial margin of the endopodite (outer-to-outer junction) triggers intercalation of supernumerary rami, a discontinuity of pattern between the medial margin of the exopodite and the lateral margin of the endopodite (inner-to-inner junction) is stable despite the absence of intervening intersegmental membrane. Where intercalation does occur, it can proceed in either direction along the margin of a supernumerary ramus. These results suggest that there is no discontinuity of positional value at the boundary between the rami. The results of all of our experiments on the uropod indicate that a conjunction of separate proximodistal, dorsoventral, and mediolateral component fields may give positional information for generating the uropod. Intercalation restores the continuity of pattern in the proximodistal field. In the mediolateral field a discontinuity of pattern may result from a preferred polarity of intercalation: Outer cells may be competent to generate inner cells, but not vice versa. According to this hypothesis the two rami have tandem ramus fields but mirror-symmetric polarity of competence. Alternatively, intercalation may eliminate a mediolateral discontinuity only if the mismatch of mediolateral positional values at the discontinuity exceeds a threshold. The threshold criterion may be a weighted sum of limb field and ramus field positional values.  相似文献

Dubinectes infirmussp. n., Munnopsidae, is described from the Argentine Basin, southwest Atlantic, at depths between 4586-4607 m. The new species is distinguished by a narrow rim of the pleotelson posterior margin which is not raising over its dorsal surface; article 3 of the antennula is subequal in length to article 2; distomedial lobes of male pleopod 1 are of same size as distolateral lobes; stylet of male pleopod 2 is subequal in length to protopod; uropod exopod is more than a half of endopod length. Some generic characters which are weakly pronounced in the new species or have different state are defined more precisely in the revised diagnosis of Dubinectes. The modified diagnosis of the genus, a key to the species of Dubinectes as well as the distribution of the genus are presented.  相似文献

A new species, Attheyella namkungi sp. nov., is described from Gosu cave at Danyang, Chungcheongbuk-do, South Korea. This species bears a superficial resemblance to A. coreana Miura, 1969 in having a 2-segmented mandibular palp with only four smooth apical setae, and in the armature formulae of the antennary exopod and thoracic legs. However the new species is clearly distinguishable by the non-sexually dimorphic caudal rami, two long plumose setae and a short seta on leg 6, and the absence of the setular row at the inner lateral margin of each caudal ramus. The new species is characterized from other congeners by having two adjacent inner spines on female leg 3 endopod-2, the caudal ramus twice as long as its width, absence of a barbed apophysis on male leg 3 endopod-2, and the seta number of legs 5 and 6. A key to the Korean species of the genus Attheyella is provided.  相似文献

Summary The tail fan of a crayfish consists of the caudal end of the body, the telson, and the most caudal limbs, the uropods. We investigated the positional information in these structures with grafting operations. The uropods are biramous; they bifurcate to a lateral exopodite and a medial endopodite. After the distal part of a uropod ramus was grafted to the stump of a ramus, medio-lateral or dorso-ventral mismatch of surfaces provoked the production of supernumerary distal parts. Proximo-distal intercalation between exopodite and endopodite yielded a mosaic ramus. The results show that the two rami contain equivalent ramus fields in congruent orientation. The exopodite consists of basal and distal segments; each of these segments seems to have an equivalent segmental field. The telson regenerated an ablated distal portion poorly, unlike the limbs of crayfish. After the posterior lobe of the telson was inverted dorso-ventrally and grafted into the telson stump, supernumerary posterior lobes regenerated dorsal and ventral to the graft. Thus the dorsal and ventral surfaces of the telson embody different positional information. A grafted uropod endopodite or exopodite healed to the telson, but dorsoventral inversion of the graft did not provoke the formation of supernumerary structures at the graft-host boundary. Because supernumeraries did not form, the relations between positional information in the telson (a body axis structure) and the uropod (a limb) remain unclear.  相似文献

A new species of poecilostomatoid copepod, Hemicyclops japonicus, is described from a dredged area in Tokyo Bay. The new species can be distinguished from its congeners by a combination of the setation of the first antenna, the segmentation of the antenna and the urosome, the length to width ratio of the caudal ramus and the shape of the genital segment and the labrum.  相似文献

Two species of cyclopoid copepods, Ochridacyclops kenyaensis sp. nov. and O. nepalensis sp. nov. are described as the first records of this genus from Kenya and Nepal, respectively. Ochridacyclops kenyaensis can easily be distinguished from its congeners by having a rounded and blunt distal end of the outer terminal seta (IV) on the caudal rami, and by the inner terminal spine being about equal in length to the outer terminal spine on the endopod of leg 4. Ochridacyclops nepalensis can easily be distinguished from other members of the genus by having two spines on exopodal segment 3 of leg 1, and by the proportions of the caudal rami, which are 3.4 times longer than wide.  相似文献
