用吸虫器采样法,对双季稻区中处于多样化生境及单一生境中的两类稻田中的节肢动物群落结构特征进行了比较研究。结果表明:在早稻生长发育初期和晚稻生长全期,多样化生境稻田中捕食性节肢动物的物种数和个体数量都显著高于单一化生境稻田。同时,多样化生境中稻田植食性昆虫的物种丰富度高于单一化生境稻田,但其个体数量较低。非稻田生境主要作为稻田捕食性节肢动物群落的种库,能促进稻田捕食性节肢动物群落的重建。  相似文献

We examined the depthwise distribution of microfungi through 0–40 cm of sandy profiles under bare surface and different shrub species at the Nizzana research site (NRS) in the Negev Desert, Israel. A total of 125 species from 61 genera were isolated using the soil dilution plate method. At the topsoil of all profiles melanin-containing species with large multicellular conidia predominated. In the middle depths at the majority of the profiles, mesic group of microfungi, Penicillium spp. substantially increased in abundance. Density of microfungal isolates decreased with depth under shrubs and did not substantially vary in the nonshaded profiles, highly positively correlating with electrical conductivity and organic matter (OM) content. Substantial increase in isolate densities at the undercanopy habitats, especially in the interdune depression with higher substrate stability raising the accumulation of OM, highlights the role of shrubs as “islands of fertility” for microfungal communities at NRS.  相似文献

A basic challenge in evolutionary biology is to establish links between ecology and evolution of species. One important link is the habitat template. It has been hypothesized, that the spatial and temporal settings of a habitat strongly influence the evolution of species dispersal propensity. Here, we evaluate the importance of the habitat type on genetic population differentiation of species using freshwater habitats as a model system. Freshwater habitats are either lentic (standing) or lotic (running). On average, lotic habitats are more stable and predictable over space and time than lentic habitats. Therefore, lentic habitats should favour the evolution of higher dispersal propensity which ensures population survival of lentic species. To test for such a relationship, we used extensive data on species' genetic population differentiation of lentic and lotic freshwater invertebrates retrieved from published allozyme studies. Overall, we analysed more than 150 species from all over the world. Controlling for several experimental, biological and geographical confounding effects, we always found that lentic invertebrates exhibit, on average, lower genetic population differentiation than lotic species. This pattern was consistent across insects, crustaceans and molluscs. Our results imply fundamental differences in genetic population differentiation among species adapted to either lentic or lotic habitats. We propose that such differences should occur in a number of other habitat types that differ in spatio-temporal stability. Furthermore, our results highlight the important role of lotic habitats as reservoirs for evolutionary processes and the potential for rapid speciation.  相似文献

Copepods have invaded an astonishing variety of aquatic and humid continental environments and microhabitats. The historical process of discovery and investigation of copepods in ephemeral, acid and thermal waters, subterranean waters and sediments, phytotelmata, humid soils, leaf litter, human-modified and artificial habitats, and other situations extends over about 130 years. The methods developed to collect in and study these habitats range from simple nets to elaborate pumping systems and diving techniques. Investigations of non-lacustrine continental environments have contributed greatly to the understanding of aspects of copepod biology such as reproduction, diapause and population dynamics. Questions regarding faunistics and biological diversity, biogeography, evolution, transport and introductions of alien species have also been informed by such studies. This article briefly reviews these topics, and provides detailed lists of records from some of the less well-known kinds of habitats.  相似文献

Primary producers in aquatic environments cover a range of living biomasses from 10?13 to 104 g dw. Benthic plants at the high end of this range contribute 5 Gt C year,1 to global primary productivity. Plankton at the lower end (up to 10?4 g dw) contributes about 30 Gt C year?1. While many problems of interpretation remain, in general terms the size of the organisms which dominate particular habitats can be related to the physics of water movement and its interaction with the availability of light and nutrients, the generation time of the organism, and the attentions of grazers. A second scaling problem is that of methods of studying the global energy flow and nutrient cycling roles of aquatic primary producers. Problems with scaling up from small-scale and mesoscale to regional or global scale, and the prospects of more direct estimates of large-scale productivity, are discussed.  相似文献

Density and biomass of fishes, from shallow rocky and soft bottom habitats on the Swedish west coast, showed large seasonal variation with low values in winter and spring and with peaks in June. Season was also the most important factor determining the fish assemblage structure. Within season, however, there was a clear separation in assemblage structure between rocky-and soft-bottom habitats. There were significantly higher total fish abundances and biomasses during night compared with day catches. On soft bottoms density and biomass of fishes decreased with increasing depth, but no such pattern was seen in rocky habitats indicating that the distribution of fishes was related to vegetation cover. Altogether, 53 fish species were recorded of which 30 were common to both habitats. Species richness was similar on rocky and soft bottoms. Of the 10 most abundant species found in rocky habitats four belonged to the Labridae and three to the Gadidae. The fish assemblage on soft bottoms were of a more mixed nature with representatives among the 10 dominants from six families (Clupeidae, Cottidae, Gadidae, Gobiidae, Labridae and Pleuronectidae). When ranking the 10 dominant fish species on rocky bottoms according to biomass c . 50% of the mass was Labridae, 19% Gadidae and 13% Cottidae. In soft bottom habitats, fish biomass was mainly distributed between six families. Pleuronectidae and Gadidae were dominant and each made up 25% of the biomass, whereas Labridae only contributed 4% of the fish mass. It is concluded that the fish assemblage in rocky habitats is dominated by permanent non-commercial species (63% of biomass), whereas soft bottoms mainly function as nurseries for juvenile fishes and as feeding grounds for seasonal migrants of commercial species (80% of biomass).  相似文献

Water-dependency appeared independently in several clades of the class Collembola, which is basically of terrestrial origin according to recent phylogenetic analyses. Though moderately diversified (less than 8,000 species), Collembola are among the most numerous terrestrial arthropods in wetland communities, with a small number of species living on the surface of water. Many species are dependent on water-saturated atmosphere of caves, and on snow or ice in high mountains. A total of 525 water-dependent species have been recognized, of which 103 are linked to free freshwaters and 109 to anchialine or marine waters. Many interstitial species are also dependent to an unknown extent on water saturation in the deep layers of the soil. The numbers provided here are underestimates, as Collembola are extremely poorly known outside the Holarctis, and the ecology of described species usually not documented. However, a general biogeographical pattern is emerging from available data. The most remarkable feature is that about 15% of the fauna is water-dependent in the holarctic region, compared to 4% in the tropics and southern hemisphere. Abstract Using direct fluorescent antibody (DFA) staining technique, Legionella pneumophila SG 1, 3 and 5 was evident in water samples collected from different localities of central Italian regions, Marche and Abruzzi; L. pneumophila SG 1 and 3 was also detected in aquatic stages of arthropods living in the Legionella -positive waters. Diptera, Coleoptera, Collembola and Isopoda were found to be positive for legionellas by DFA. Diptera, the most common in the waters surveyed, were represented by Chironomidae and Culicidae families, the latter being larval and pupal stages of genus Anopheles and Culex . Mosquito adults, emerged in laboratory from pupae collected in one sample of positive water, were also positive. The findings that aquatic arthropods harbor legionellas and whether they could be involved in the maintenance and dissemination of legionellas in nature are discussed.  相似文献

Nabis pseudoferus Remane and N. palifer Seidenstucker are predators that feed on a wide range of insect pests. To reveal their current potential habitats, the effects of climate change and their future distribution in various areas of Iran we used maximum entropy modeling (Maxent). To produce the models, samples were collected from 218 areas of Iran resulting in discovering 271 points where the nabids were found. The accuracy and performance of distribution models were also evaluated by the area under receiver operating characteristic curve and jack‐knife analysis. In the Maxent model, the climatic, elevation and land cover layers were the major bases for the current models. In modeling future distribution, the land cover layer was excluded. The distribution of N. pseudoferus was independent of the type of vegetation while the distribution of N. palifer varied according to differences in type of vegetation. Using jack‐knife analysis, the land cover and precipitation were the most effective predictors driving the two Nabis species range expansion. From 2013 to 2050 the impacts of climate change on N. pseudoferus distribution was predicted to have a negative impact but have a positive effect on N. palifer range expansion. Results could be used in preparation of predators' conservation, translocation and reintroduction programs and application in pest management strategies.  相似文献

Freshwater ascomycetes are important decomposers of dead woody and herbaceous debris in aquatic habitats. Despite evidence of their ecological importance, latitudinal, habitat and substrate distributional patterns of freshwater ascomycetes are poorly understood. In this study, we examined the latitudinal and habitat distributional patterns, and substrate recurrences of freshwater ascomycetes by collecting dead submerged woody and herbaceous debris in lentic and lotic habitats at five selected sites along a north-central-south, temperate–subtropical latitudinal ecotone in Florida. One hundred and thirty-two fungal taxa were collected during the study. Seventy-four were meiosporic and 56 were mitosporic ascomycetes, while two species were basidiomycetes. Canonical analyses of principal coordinates (CAP) and Sørenson’s similarity index of species based on presence/absence data revealed a high turnover in species composition between the northern and southern sites, indicating a change in species composition along the temperate–subtropical latitudinal ecotone of the Florida Peninsula. Results from the ordination analysis indicated that freshwater ascomycete community composition is not significantly different between lentic and lotic habitats in Florida. The geographically broadly distributed species and species commonly found in Florida occurred in both habitats, whereas a number of new or rare species occurred in either lentic or lotic habitats, but not both. The same freshwater ascomycete species did not necessarily occur on both woody and herbaceous debris; of the 132 taxa collected, 100 were reported only on woody debris; 14 species occurred exclusively on herbaceous debris; and 18 species were found on both woody and herbaceous debris in lentic or lotic habitats. Implications of data from this study to the conservation and knowledge of biodiversity for freshwater ascomycetes is discussed.  相似文献

The development and use of acoustic recording technology, surveys have revealed the composition, relative levels of activity, and preliminary habitat use of bat communities of various forest locations. However, detailed examinations of acoustic surveys results to investigate temporal patterns of bat activity are rare. Initial active acoustic surveys of bat activity on the Quabbin Reservoir watershed in central Massachusetts recorded high numbers of call sequences by five bat species. The results showed the importance of aquatic and open habitats for bats in this diverse forest landscape. Because the preliminary surveys were restricted in extent (habitats), number (replicates), and duration (active surveys only, limited number of repeated surveys), the authors strongly recommended more comprehensive and extensive surveys of bat activity on the area. This paper reports the results of active (manual) and passive (automated) acoustic bat activity surveys in three replicates of ten habitats, conducted three to four times per year over the course of the study between 2004 and 2006. Over the full study, 2,800 actively-recorded 37,632 passively-recorded call sequences were examined and identified to species when possible. General patterns in activity did not differ by habitat between the two survey methods. Call sequences were recorded more often in open, especially aquatic habitats than in cluttered habitats. The use of passive surveys allowed for the assessment of temporal patterns of activity and an analysis of the relationship between ambient temperature and activity.  相似文献

Fishes were sampled in riffle and pool habitats at 74 upland localities in the Little River system, southeastern Oklahoma and southwestern Arkansas, U.S.A. I asked how these two habitat-defined communities differed with regard to species abundance and incidence patterns, and how these differences varied along othree environmental gradients: elevation, stream gradient, and stream size. Riffle and pool communities showed distinct and significant differences when ordinated in multivariate space defined by species abundance patterns. Sites with similar pool communities did not have similar riffle communities, and riffle and pool communities responded to environmental gradients in different ways. Elevation was the best predictor of pool community structure, whereas stream size was the best predictor of riffle communities. Overall, riffle habitats had fewer species than pool habitats and formed significant subsets of pool communities at 12 of 74 sites. I predicted that at small stream localities where riffles were unstable, riffle species would form subsets of the pool species communities, and both community types should show high similarities. The presence of faunal subsets was not associated with stream size, but faunal similarities were significantly higher at small stream localities. At the species level, 14 species were significantly associated with pool habitats, while only two were associated with riffle habitats. Riffle and pool communities, although linked by a continuous habitat gradient at the local scale, responded differently to large-scale environmental gradients. Local differences between these communities were predictable based on stream size.  相似文献

The role of anthropogenically influenced habitats in conserving elements of the original wildlife has increased worldwide simultaneously with the disappearance of natural sites. Burial places are able to conserve original elements of the wildlife, and this fact has been known for at least a century. To this day, little is known about long‐time changes and the effect of long‐time management methods in cemeteries on the flora they harbor. The utility of historical maps in research focused on natural values, as well as in answering questions related to conservation was recently demonstrated, but the use of digitized historical maps in biodiversity research of the Carpathian Basin is very limited. In the present paper, we aimed to predict the conservation potential of long‐established and newly established cemeteries of Hungarian settlements with various population sizes based on the digitized maps of the 2nd Military Survey of the Austrian Empire (1819–1869), by categorizing cemeteries into 3 distinct (anthropogenic habitat, cemetery, or natural habitat) types. To build our models, we used records of the protected flora from Hungarian cemeteries, based on data of thematic botanical surveys of 991 cemeteries. Out of the surveyed cemeteries, 553 (56%) harbored protected plants, totaling 306.617 estimated individuals of 92 protected species, belonging to 28 plant families. These species represent 12% of the entire protected flora of Hungary. Hungarian cemeteries play a key role mainly in preserving steppe and dry grassland plant species. Long‐established and large cemeteries harbor more protected plant species than small and newly established ones. Human population size of the settlements correlated negatively with the number of protected species and individuals. Moreover, woodland cover and proportion of grassland also significantly positively affected the number of protected plant species in cemeteries.  相似文献

In Europe, Salix euxina is considered to be an adventive species, while S. alba is regarded as native. When assessing the protection of species in wild habitats, it is important to know the status of each species so that not to protect unreasonably alien species. Analysing the sources of literature, it was noticed that the views of Latvian authors differed — both on the status of the indigenous S. alba, as well as the adventive S. euxina. Research has shown that the ‘official status’ assigned to both basic species on the national level differs and contradicts the scientifically recognized status. This is an interesting case when certain state institutions responsible for nature protection have officially recognized a native species as an alien one and an alien species as a native one through laws and regulations. Considering that there are marginal populations of S. alba of the natural distribution range in Latvia, the most valuable of which occur in the basin of the River Gauja, the current possible protection of S. alba on the national level was analysed. Analysing the legislation, it has been established that rare habitats with S. alba woods (Salicetum albae) on alluvial soils of river flats are also included among the specially protected habitats. Analysing the individual protection regulations of the two largest specially protected areas, i. e. the Protected Landscape Area of the Northern Gauja and the Gauja National Park, it has been concluded that the current protection regime in the country does not ensure full protection of marginal populations of S. alba in natural habitats. This is because the individual protection regulations do not include the specific protected habitats of Salicetum albae and allow the felling of young willows, which contradicts the provisions of the legal act on the structural elements of the habitat Salicetum albae. In order to ensure full protection of marginal populations of S. alba and special habitats formed by the species in Latvia, it is necessary to update and define more accurately the laws and regulation on its protection.  相似文献

【背景】新疆特殊生境罗布泊及温宿峡谷凭借其特殊的地理位置、极端的周边自然生态环境及较少的人为活动影响,促成了其独特的微生物优质资源。【目的】为探索添加抗生素对微生物选择性分离培养的作用,优化改良新疆特殊生境微生物选择性分离培养,以减少对菌株的重复分离,还可以选择性培养更多耐受此类抗生素的微生物,发现更多生物活性产物。【方法】以高氏一号培养基为基础,添加不同浓度的β-内酰胺类抗生素阿莫西林(amoxicillin)、氨基糖苷类抗生素卡那霉素(kanamycin)、安莎大环内酯类抗生素利福平(rifampicin)、喹诺酮类抗生素诺氟沙星(norfloxacin)、酰胺醇类抗生素氯霉素(chloramphenicol)、氨基糖苷类抗生素链霉素(streptomycin),分离新疆特殊生境罗布泊及温宿峡谷土壤样品中的微生物。【结果】添加诺氟沙星分离获得的微生物种类和数量最多,其次是卡那霉素和阿莫西林,再次是利福平和氯霉素。所选用的大多抗生素在1/10 MIC和1/15 MIC浓度时分离效果最好。罗布泊土样共分离到19株菌,分布在8个属。其中芽孢杆菌属6株、链霉菌属5株、类芽孢杆菌属3株、根瘤...  相似文献

以四川省南充市金城山的淫羊藿为研究对象,对小檗科淫羊藿产果数量,种子生产和种子质量与生境的关系进行了研究。研究表明:不同生境的淫羊藿植株高度和花序长度不同,单株结果率也不同,单果产种量差异较小,出种量一般在1~8粒之间,但每个生境单果主要出种量不同。对千粒重和不同果枝结果率单因素方差分析表明,不同生境的淫羊藿种子千粒重有显著差异,不同生境的淫羊藿植株的主次果枝结果率也有显著差异。不同生境中的淫羊藿果实的虫食率也不同。淫羊藿种子的低种子数,小粒种子,而不同生境的结实率虽有差异,但是总体偏低,是导致淫羊藿种子难以收集的主要内因,也导致种群受干扰后不易恢复。  相似文献

Reconstruction of past faunal assemblages is of primary concern to paleontologists because it yields important information concerning patterns of community structure, biogeography, and paleoclimatology. Unfortunately, the process of fossilization is serendipitous at best, resulting in fossil beds that only contain a sample of the extant fauna that existed at the time of fossilization. Herein, we examine the degree to which incomplete sampling of four well‐known small mammal faunas gives rise to uncertainty concerning the biome association of each site using neontological data from two tropical (Brazilian Cerrado and Gallery Forest) and two temperate (Kansas Prairie and Kentucky Mixed Deciduous‐coniferous Forest) areas. Two simulation approaches (variable and fixed sample sizes) were applied to each set of data to ascertain what proportion of the mammal fauna must be sampled before inferring the correct biome to which the fauna pertained. In the variable sample size approach, species were selected at random from the species pool until the sample correctly identified the biome from which the sample was obtained; this was repeated 200 times for each of the 4 sites. In the fixed sample size approach, a series of simulations were conducted in which each simulation had a fixed number of species, beginning at 2 and increasing at regular intervals until the entire fauna was included in the sample. The number of species required to correctly associate a site with the proper biome was highly variable for three of the four sites. As a result, the number of species required in a sample to be 95% certain of the biome association of Mixed Deciduous‐coniferous Forest, Prairie, and Gallery Forest sites represented a large proportion of the fauna in each case (78%, 88%, and 89%, respectively). In contrast, only 23% of the fauna needed to be sampled from the Cerrado site to obtain the same level of confidence. Adjusting the Cerrado analysis for the effect of endemic species only resulted in an inflation of this value to 33%. The effects of endemics in reducing the certainty of biome associations are only pronounced when sample sizes are small compared to the total species pool. The accuracy of estimating the correct biome association of a fauna is predicated upon the proportion of the fauna in the sample as well as the particular distributional patterns of the species that compose the fauna. Caution should be exercised when inferring the biome association of fossil sites because neither of these features of the sample are usually known. Moreover, even when these features are know, as in the neontological analyses, a large proportion of the fauna frequently is required to be confident of the correct biome association of the fauna. Results indicate that the body size of species found in a fossil assemblage or their ordinal taxonomic affinities can affect the probability of accurately deducing paleoenvironments. Smaller species, and members of the orders Rodentia or Insectivora, are more stenotopic than larger species, or members of the orders Artiodactyla and Carnivora. Fossil assemblages containing only members of the latter groups will consist of wide‐ranging species of broad habitat tolerance. Thus the paleoenvironment of such a fossil assemblage will be difficult to discern.  相似文献

Question

How does the plant species composition of Pontic–Pannonian salt‐rich habitats vary on a large geographical scale? Do the floristic differences between Pannonia and the Balkans correspond to the current phytosociological classification?

Location

Pannonia (Hungary, Slovakia, Austria, Czech Republic, Croatia, Serbia, Romania) and the Balkans (Bulgaria, Macedonia, Greece).

Methods

Two thousand four hundred and thirty‐seven relevés from halophytic and sub‐halophytic habitats were classified using a modified TWINSPAN. The crispness of classification was checked. DCA and CCA with climate data as explanatory variables were applied.

Results

The classification was best interpreted at the level of 15 clusters. The vegetation changed along the salinity gradient from sub‐halophytic grasslands (including Trifolion resupinati alliance of the Molinio‐Arrhenatheretalia class and Beckmannion eruciformis and Festucion pseudovinae p. p. alliances of the Festuco‐Puccinellietea class) and reed beds (Bolboschoenion maritimi p. p. alliance; the Phragmito‐Magnocaricetea class), through steppe and wet inland halophytic vegetation (Festucion pseudovinae p. p., Puccinellion limosae, Pucinellion convolutae, Bolboschoenion maritimi p. p. and Juncion gerardii of the Festuco‐Puccinellietea class) towards the extreme halophytic vegetation of the Thero‐Salicornietea, Crypsietea and Juncetea maritimi classes. This gradient was longer in the Balkan region, where it spanned from the sub‐mediterranean salt‐rich grasslands to the extremely halophytic vegetation at the Black Sea coast. The second most important gradient coincided with the water regime. Some vegetation types appeared to be confined to either the Pannonian or the Balkan region (especially within dry sub‐halophytic and steppe halophytic grasslands), while others were distributed across the entire study area. The above‐mentioned pattern did not always correspond with current classification systems.

Conclusions

Variation in salt‐rich vegetation predominantly follows the salinity and water regime gradients. Geographical variation, generally coinciding with climatic and historical effects, is also important, especially in drier salt‐rich habitats. Our large‐scale analysis of the floristic variation of salt‐rich habitats might be useful for the unification of classification systems that differ substantially between the countries involved. In addition, the analysis may be useful for adjustment of a classification system in the poorly explored Balkan region, where particular vegetation types were identified with, or delimited from, Central European vegetation types without detailed comparative analysis until now.
