雄性川金丝猴睾酮分泌与其社群环境变化的关系 总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3
采用化学免疫发光法,跟踪测定了上海野生动物园一个半放养川金丝猴群中3只先后参与交配繁殖活动的成年雄猴一年中尿中睾酮含量,并结合行为学记录对其性激素和性行为间的相互影响关系进行了初步研究。发现成年雄猴睾酮分泌峰的出现更多的是由其社会因素的变化引起的,而且,睾酮分泌峰出现的时期并不与雌性受孕高峰期相重叠,提示雄性繁殖具非季节性特点。睾酮分泌峰的出现,一方面说明此时社群的社会关系处于不稳定状态,另一方面发现睾酮水平的提高对雄猴攻击能力的增强起促进作用。由此,本研究认为川金丝猴雌雄性个体在繁殖中采用了不尽相同的繁殖策略[动物学报49(3):325—33l,2003]。 相似文献

1999 年12 月至2000 年9 月, 使用放射免疫分析法, 测定了成都动物园和成都大熊猫繁育研究基地的4 只雄性小熊猫粪样中睾酮水平变化情况, 同时对其行为进行了观察。研究结果表明, 雄性粪样中睾酮水平在繁殖期(12 月~3 月) 显著高于非繁殖期(4 月~9 月) (P < 0.01) , 且睾酮水平变化与繁殖行为密切相关。在非繁殖期,雄性小熊猫的睾酮水平处于基础的较低水平时, 其繁殖行为如蹭阴、舔阴、舔标记物和咩叫等几乎没有发生或很少发生; 而在繁殖期, 雄性小熊猫的睾酮水平明显升高, 这些繁殖行为频繁发生。以上结果说明, 睾酮是调节雄性小熊猫繁殖行为季节性变化的生理因子。 相似文献

发情期的雄性麋鹿根据序位分为群主、挑战者和单身汉3个等级,序位变化是雄性麋鹿应对环境压力的直 观体现。本文利用胆量和侵犯2个行为指标在麋鹿生活史不同阶段的耦合强弱,来解释幼体时麋鹿序位发育、亚 成体时雄性序位定型及发情期时挑战者对群体序位的扰动。行为取样采用焦点取样法和扫描取样法相结合;分 析个体间行为样本流的非同步化水平,以同类型行为中较早发生、同步化率较低的判断为胆大;侵犯则结合攻 击行为和取胜指数来判定;粪样睾酮水平测定采用放射免疫分析法。结果显示雄性麋鹿幼体胆量和侵犯耦合与 等级序位呈负相关(r=-0.111 8,P=0.018 3);成体胆量和侵犯耦合与等级序位的波动呈正相关(r=0.917 9,P= 0.002 6)。从亚成体到成体:4头雄性麋鹿序位上升(胆量和侵犯耦合r=0.852 3,P=0.000 3),其中1头成为鹿 王;4头序位未发生改变(胆量和侵犯耦合r=0.482 9,P=0.006 3);3头序位下降(胆量和侵犯耦合r=0.251 7, P=0.003 5)。雄性麋鹿幼体睾酮水平与等级序位呈正相关(r=0.860 7,P=0.005 5);亚成体睾酮水平与等级序 位呈正相关(r=0.845 7,P=0.004 4);成体睾酮水平与等级序位呈正相关(r=0.954 6,P=0.001 8)。结果表明雄 性麋鹿发情期胆量和侵犯耦合强度与等级序位波动呈正相关;等级序位上升与睾酮水平升高有关。 相似文献

在等级森严的非人灵长类群体中,睾酮对雄性顺位维持有着重要作用,且影响着体内寄生虫种类和荷虫量。本研究以栖息于安徽黄山的雄性短尾猴为研究对象,通过计算成年雄性的等级顺位,测定其粪便中睾酮含量以及寄生虫的荷虫量,探讨雄性等级顺位、睾酮水平与健康间的平衡关系。结果表明:共检测出10种肠道寄生虫,包括4种蠕虫、5种原虫和1种螨虫;其中雄性短尾猴个体间睾酮水平(1.00±0.42) ng/g和肠道寄生虫荷虫量(112.44±83.62)EPG均存在显著差异(Kruskal-Wallis H,P<0.05);等级顺位与睾酮水平呈正相关(Spearman, N=8,ρ= 0.326, P<0.05),与肠道原虫类的荷虫量呈负相关(Spearman, N=8,ρ= - 0.345, P<0.05),与肠道蠕虫类的荷虫量无相关性(Spearman, N=8,ρ= 0.065, P>0.05);睾酮水平与肠道原虫类寄生虫的荷虫量呈负相关(Spearman, N=8,ρ= -0.546, P<0.05),与肠道蠕虫类的荷虫量无相关性(Spearman, N=8,ρ= -0.013, P>0.05)。本研究表明高顺位雄性拥有更高的睾酮水平,这不仅对其顺位的维持具有重要作用,对原虫类寄生虫也具有明显的抑制作用。 相似文献

对十倍体长穗偃麦草(Thinopyrum ponticum)与普通小麦杂交F1及其与普通小麦回交BC1F1的形态学和细胞学特性进行了分析。结果表明,长穗偃麦草与普通小麦‘兰考矮早八’衍生F1(‘兰考小偃麦’)的根尖细胞染色体数为56条;花粉母细胞减数分裂中期Ⅰ染色体构型平均值为19.81Ⅰ+15.78Ⅱ+0.75Ⅲ+0.59Ⅳ;基因组荧光原位杂交(GISH)显示,兰考小偃麦中含有35条完整的长穗偃麦草和21条小麦染色体。‘兰考小偃麦’/‘科育818’和‘兰考小偃麦’/‘Cp02-3-5-5’杂交F1的根尖细胞染色体数及其所遗传的长穗偃麦草染色体数分别为50~52和16~22条,且存在染色体易位;花粉母细胞减数分裂中期Ⅰ平均染色体构型为14.54Ⅰ+17.40Ⅱ+0.55Ⅲ+0.14Ⅳ,平均49.4%的细胞出现多价体(三价体或四价体)。这些材料为创造小麦-长穗偃麦草新种质奠定了基础。 相似文献

采用离体灌流孵育技术和促性腺激素的放射免疫测定方法,对长臀(鱼危)(Cranoglanis bouderius)脑垂体碎片促性腺激素的分泌进行了研究.结果表明:持续的促性腺激素释放激素类似物(GnRH-A)能显著刺激退化期的长臀(鱼危)离体脑垂体碎片促性腺激素(GTH)的分泌,并且长臀(鱼危)脑垂体碎片对持续的GnRH-A刺激未表现出脱敏性,该结果与胡子鲇和鲇鱼相似,而与金鱼和鲤科鱼类不同;重复脉冲GnRH-A刺激对长臀(鱼危)脑垂体碎片GTH分泌具有促进作用,而且存在剂量依存关系,与鲇鱼和鲤科鱼类相类似.上述结果表明在长臀(鱼危)的人工繁殖中可以用持续高浓度GnRH-A刺激对长臀(鱼危)进行催熟和催产. 相似文献

自 1996年 3月至 1998年 12月 ,作者采用放射免疫分析法每月 1次测定雄性白豚 (Lipotesvexillifer)“淇淇”血清睾酮浓度。春季每天 1次 ,其它季节每三天 1次 ,每次 1h ,用目标动物取样法观察“淇淇”的行为。结果发现 ,性自慰 (腹面贴池壁、伸出阴茎 )行为的发生频率和血清睾酮激素水平都有周期性变化 ,春季为高峰期 ,秋季有 1个小峰 ,性自慰行为与血清睾酮激素浓度两者的周期较为一致。从性自慰行为和血清睾酮激素水平季节变化 ,推测出“淇淇”性腺活动的周期性变化 ,活动期为 2~ 10月 ,血清睾酮浓度为 2 4 8~ 9 6 6ng/ml;春季高峰在 4月前后 ,血清睾酮浓度为 3 4 4~ 9 6 6ng/ml;秋季小峰在 10月 ,血清睾酮浓度为 3 33~4 2 5ng/ml;11月至次年 1月为性腺活动相对静止期 ,血清睾酮浓度为 1 2 4~ 2 85ng/ml。白豚是一种季节性繁殖动物 ,繁殖高峰期在 4月前后。 相似文献

Aim Previous genetic studies of African savanna ungulates have indicated Pleistocene refugial areas in East and southern Africa, and recent palynological, palaeovegetation and fossil studies have suggested the presence of a long‐standing refugium in the south and a mosaic of refugia in the east. Phylogeographic analysis of the common eland antelope, Taurotragus oryx (Bovidae), was used to assess these hypotheses and the existence of genetic signatures of Pleistocene climate change. Location The sub‐Saharan savanna biome of East and southern Africa. Methods Mitochondrial DNA control‐region fragments (414 bp) from 122 individuals of common eland were analysed to elucidate the phylogeography, genetic diversity, spatial population structuring, historical migration and demographic history of the species. The phylogeographic split among major genetic lineages was dated using Bayesian coalescent‐based methods and a calibrated fossil root of 1.6 Ma for the split between the common eland and the giant eland, Taurotragus derbianus. Results Two major phylogeographic lineages comprising East and southern African localities, respectively, were separated by a net nucleotide distance of 4.7%. A third intermediate lineage comprised only three haplotypes, from Zimbabwe in southern Africa. The estimated mutation rate of 0.097 Myr?1 revealed a more recent common ancestor for the eastern lineage (0.21 Ma; 0.07–0.37) than for the southern lineage (0.35 Ma; 0.10–0.62). Compared with the latter, the eastern lineage showed pronounced geographic structuring, lower overall nucleotide diversity, higher population differentiation, and isolation‐by‐distance among populations. Main conclusions The data support the hypothesis of Pleistocene refugia occurring in East and southern Africa. In agreement with palynological, palaeovegetation and fossil studies, our data strongly support the presence of a longer‐standing population in the south and a mosaic of Pleistocene refugia in the east, verifying the efficacy of genetic tools in addressing such questions. The more recent origin of the common eland inhabiting East Africa could result from colonization following extinction from the region. Only two other dated African ungulate phylogenies have been published, applying different methods, and the similarity of dates obtained from the three distinct approaches indicates a significant event c. 200 ka, which left a strong genetic signature across a range of ungulate taxa. 相似文献

In this study we examined hormonal responses of Black-legged Kittiwake (Rissatridactyla) chicks to experimental variations in energy content and nutritional quality (low or high lipid to protein ratio, LPR) of
their food. Starting at the age of 10 days, chicks were fed either high or low LPR fish at 30, 50, 70 and 100% of ad libitum
energy intake. After 20 days of treatment, chicks were exposed to a standardized acute handling and restraint stress protocol,
where a baseline sample was taken immediately after taking a chick from the nest, and three additional blood samples were
taken at intervals up to 50 min. Testosterone and corticosterone titres in plasma were measured via radioimmunoassay. We found
that baseline testosterone levels were not significantly affected by the experimental treatments. Food-restricted chicks had
elevated baseline and acute stress-induced levels of corticosterone compared to chicks fed ad libitum. An elevation of circulating
levels of corticosterone in energetically stressed individuals was further magnified by low nutritional quality of food. Baseline
and acute stress-induced corticosterone levels of chicks were negatively correlated with their fat reserves. We conclude that
the physiological condition of Black-legged Kittiwake chicks can be assessed reliably by measuring circulating levels of corticosterone.
We discuss short- and long-term effects of elevated corticosterone secretion in food-stressed nest-bound chicks.

Data addressing adrenocortical modulation across taxonomic groups are limited, especially with regard to how female reproductive
condition influences the sensitivity of the hypothalamus–pituitary–adrenal axis. We investigated seasonal and reproductive
variation in basal and stress-induced hormone profiles in a population of free-ranging timber rattlesnakes (Crotalus horridus) in north-central Pennsylvania during spring (i.e., May), summer (i.e., July), and early fall (i.e., September). Baseline
corticosterone concentrations varied seasonally and were significantly lower during the summer sampling period in July. We
observed a significant negative relationship between baseline corticosterone and testosterone in male snakes, while baseline
corticosterone and estradiol tended to be positively correlated in females. Treatment of snakes with 1 h of capture stress
significantly increased corticosterone across all seasons. However, there was a significant interaction between corticosterone
responses to capture stress and season, suggesting that adrenocortical function is modulated seasonally. Because elevated
corticosterone may be associated with reproduction, we asked whether hormonal stress responses vary with female reproductive
condition. Although sample sizes are low, reproductive snakes had significantly higher baseline and stress-induced corticosterone
concentrations than non-reproductive or post-parturient females. Further, despite similar baseline corticosterone concentrations
between non-reproductive and post-parturient rattlesnakes, post-parturient females responded to capture stress with a significantly
higher increase in corticosterone. Collectively, these data suggest that the sensitivity of the hypothalamus–pituitary–adrenal
axis varies both seasonally and with changing reproductive states. 相似文献

Variation in aggression among species can be due to a number of proximate and ultimate factors, leading to patterns of divergent and convergent evolution of behavior among even closely related species. Caribbean Anolis lizards are well known for their convergence in microhabitat use and morphology, but they also display marked convergence in social behavior and patterns of aggression. We studied 18 Anolis species across six ecomorphs on four different Caribbean islands to test four main hypotheses. We hypothesized that species differences in aggression would be due to species differences in circulating testosterone (T), a steroid hormone implicated in numerous studies across vertebrate taxa as a primary determinant of social behavior; more aggressive species were expected to have higher baseline concentrations of T and corticosterone. We further hypothesized that low-T species would increase T and corticosterone levels during a social challenge. Within three of the four island assemblages studied we found differences in T levels among species within an island that differ in aggression, but in the opposite pattern than predicted: more aggressive species had lower baseline T than the least aggressive species. The fourth island, Puerto Rico, showed the pattern of baseline T levels among species we predicted. There were no patterns of corticosterone levels among species or ecomorphs. One of the two species tested increased T in response to a social challenge, but neither species elevated corticosterone. Our results suggest that it is possible for similarities in aggression among closely related species to evolve via different proximate mechanisms. 相似文献

Eight weeks of heat exposure (34±0.5°C) in sham-orchiectomized rats leads to an increase of body temperature, slowing of body growth rate, and decrease of serum corticosterone level, as compared with animals maintained at 21±2°C. Orchiectomy decreases body temperature, slows growth rate, and increases plasma corticosterone concentration both in control and heat exposed animals. Testosterone administration reverts these parameters to initial values. We conclude that testosterone plays a role in the regulation of heat balance in male rats. 相似文献

Chronic exposure to stressors increases HPA axis activity and concomitantly reduces HPG axis activity. This antagonistic relationship between both these axes has been proposed to underlie the inhibition of reproductive function due to stress. Sexual behavior in males may be the most vulnerable aspect of male reproduction to acute and chronic stress and it has been suggested that alterations in sexual behavior during stress are due to the antagonistic relationship between testosterone and corticosteroids. However, only in a few studies has a correlation between the levels of testosterone and corticosterone, and sexual behavior been made. In this study, we evaluated the effects of different stressors, applied both acute and chronically, on masculine sexual behavior and whether or not these effects on sexual behavior are accompanied by changes in plasma levels of corticosterone and testosterone. Additionally, we evaluated the effect of testosterone treatment on the effects of stress on sexual behavior. Sexually experienced male rats were exposed to one of the following stressors: immobilization (IMB), electric foot shocks (EFS) or immersion in cold water (ICW). Sexual behavior and plasma levels of testosterone and corticosterone were assessed on days 1, 5, 10, 15, and 20 of stress. In a second experiment, males were castrated, treated with 3 different doses of testosterone propionate (TP) and exposed to ICW for 20 consecutive days. Sexual behavior was assessed on days 1, 5, 10, 15, and 20 and steroids were evaluated on day 20. Parameters of masculine sexual behavior were modified depending on the characteristics of each stressor. Mount, intromission and ejaculation latencies increased significantly, the number of mounts increased, and ejaculations decreased significantly in males exposed to EFS and to ICW but not in males exposed to IMB. Associated with these effects, testosterone decreased in the EFS and ICW groups on days 1, 15, and 20. However, corticosterone increased only in males exposed to ICW. In castrated males, TP treatment failed to block the effects of stress by ICW on sexual behavior and corticosterone. These results indicate that the effects of stress on sexual behavior depend on the characteristics of each stressor, and these effects, as well as the decrease in testosterone are not necessarily associated with the increase in corticosterone. The fact that testosterone treatment did not prevent the effects of stress on sexual behavior suggests that other mediators could be involved in the alterations of sexual behavior caused by stress. 相似文献

Among its many proposed functions, neuropeptide Y (NPY) is thought to modulate the hypothalamic-pituitary axis. Specifically, increased hypothalamic NPY signaling may be critical in mediating the neuroendocrine response to fasting. To determine the consequences of NPY deficiency on endocrine physiology, multiple hormones were quantitated in wildtype and NPY-knockout mice under fed and fasted conditions. Serum concentrations of leptin, corticosterone, thyroxine, and testosterone were normal in NPY-knockout males fed ad libitum. A 48-hour fast resulted in a 50% reduction in leptin, a 60% reduction in thyroxine, a 75% reduction in testosterone, and a 12-fold increase in corticosterone in both wildtype and NPY-knockout mice. Fasting also increased the estrous cycle length by 3 days in both wildtype and NPY-deficient female mice. We conclude that NPY is not essential for appropriate function of the gonadotropic, thyrotropic, or corticotropic axes under ad lib fed conditions or in response to acute fasting. 相似文献

目的研究五味子对实验性水上漂浮及高强度运动大鼠垂体-性腺轴的影响。方法 34只SD大鼠随机分为非应激对照组(A组,n=10)、应激对照组(B组,n=12)和五味子干预组(C组,n=12)。A组不接受任何刺激,在生理盐水灌胃1周后进行取样。B组和C组进行为期10 d的递增负荷跑台训练,分别用生理盐水和五味子灌胃1周后,行3 h水上漂浮及3 h跑台高强度运动,结束即刻取血,测定血清皮质酮(CORT)、睾酮(T)、黄体生成素(LH);随机取一侧睾丸,HE染色观察组织病理结构;电子显微镜下观察超微结构。结果 (1)B组大鼠与A组相比,睾酮水平显著下降;C组大鼠与B组相比,睾酮水平无明显变化,皮质酮水平显著降低;黄体生成素在3组之间均无显著变化。(2)HE染色示3组大鼠睾丸组织病理无明显变化。(3)电子显微镜观察发现,B组大鼠睾丸Leydig细胞线粒体肿胀,电子密度增高;C组大鼠睾丸Leydig细胞线粒体结构趋向于正常,可见分泌颗粒。结论五味子对实验性水上漂浮及高强度运动大鼠睾酮水平无明显作用,对睾丸超微结构有一定保护作用。 相似文献
