We view web forums as virtual living organisms feeding on user''s clicks and investigate how they grow at the expense of clickstreams. We find that (the number of page views in a given time period) and (the number of unique visitors in the time period) of the studied forums satisfy the law of the allometric growth, i.e., . We construct clickstream networks and explain the observed temporal dynamics of networks by the interactions between nodes. We describe the transportation of clickstreams using the function , in which is the total amount of clickstreams passing through node and is the amount of the clickstreams dissipated from to the environment. It turns out that , an indicator for the efficiency of network dissipation, not only negatively correlates with , but also sets the bounds for . In particular, when and when . Our findings have practical consequences. For example, can be used as a measure of the “stickiness” of forums, which quantifies the stable ability of forums to remain users “lock-in” on the forum. Meanwhile, the correlation between and provides a method to predict the long-term “stickiness” of forums from the clickstream data in a short time period. 鞘糖脂由一个神经酰胺的脂骨架与一个或多个糖基连接形成,存在于细胞膜中,承担多种生理学功能。我们将对鞘糖脂的生物化学及生理学方面研究做一概述,随后简要介绍近年来鞘糖脂的临床研究进展。在讨论鞘糖脂生物化学方面的研究中,我们把重点放在介绍鞘脂类及鞘糖脂的结构和生合成途径。脂类生物合成和降解是通过一系列酶的参与紧密调控的,如果一种酶参与代谢失败会导致酶底物的大量堆积,会引起溶酶体贮积症,这种疾病是由具有分解代谢活性的水解酶缺失所造成的。随后,我们介绍鞘糖脂在细胞及动物体内的生理学方面的功能,以及鞘糖脂在临床方面的一些病症中所起的作用,即使许多细节还有待于进一步研究。  相似文献

Data from urban metabolism studies from eight metropolitan regions across five continents, conducted in various years since 1965, are assembled in consistent units and compared. Together with studies of water, materials, energy, and nutrient flows from additional cities, the comparison provides insights into the changing metabolism of cities. Most cities studied exhibit increasing per capita metabolism with respect to water, wastewater, energy, and materials, although one city showed increasing efficiency for energy and water over the 1990s. Changes in solid waste streams and air pollutant emissions are mixed.
The review also identifies metabolic processes that threaten the sustainability of cities. These include altered ground water levels, exhaustion of local materials, accumulation of toxic materials, summer heat islands, and irregular accumulation of nutrients. Beyond concerns over the sheer magnitudes of resource flows into cities, an understanding of these accumulation or storage processes in the urban metabolism is critical. Growth , which is inherently part of metabolism, causes changes in water stored in urban aquifers, materials in the building stock, heat stored in the urban canopy layer, and potentially useful nutrients in urban waste dumps.
Practical reasons exist for understanding urban metabolism. The vitality of cities depends on spatial relationships with surrounding hinterlands and global resource webs. Increasing metabolism implies greater loss of farmland, forests, and species diversity; plus more traffic and more pollution. Urban policy makers should consider to what extent their nearest resources are close to exhaustion and, if necessary, appropriate strategies to slow exploitation. It is apparent from this review that metabolism data have been established for only a few cities worldwide, and interpretation issues exist due to lack of common conventions. Further urban metabolism studies are required.  相似文献

The light-catalysed isomerization of (+)-abscisic acid (ABA)to its trans isomer during isolation from leaves was monitoredby the addition of (±)-[2-14C]ABA to the extraction medium.(+)Trans-abscisic acid (t-ABA) was found to occur naturallyin rose (Rosa arvensis) leaves at 20µg/kg fresh weight;(+)-ABA was present at 594µg/kg. (±)-[2-14D]Trans-abscisicacid was not isomerized enzymically to ABA in tomato shoots. (±)-Abscisic acid was converted by tomato shoots to awater-soluble neutral product, ‘Metabolite B’, whichwas identified as abscisyl-ß-D-glucopyranoside. When(±)-[2-14C]trans-abscisic acid in an equimolar mixturewith (±)-[2-14C}ABA was fed to tomato shoots it was convertedto its glucose ester 10 times faster than was ABA. Trans-abscisyl-ß-D-glucopyrano8ide only was formedfrom (±)-[2-14C]t-ABA in experiments lasting up to 30h. Glucosyl abscisate was formed slowly from ABA and the freeacid fraction contained an excess of the unnatural (–).ABAas did the ABA released from abscisyl-ß-D-glucopyranosideby alkaline hydrolysis. The (+).ABA appeared to be the solesource of the acidic ‘Metabolite C" previously noted. The concentrations of endogenous (+)-, (+)-[2-14C]-, and (–)-[2-14C]ABAremaining as free acid, and also in the hydrolysate of abscisyl-ß-D-glucopyranoside,were measured by the ORD, UV absorption, and scintillation spectrometryof highly purified extracts of ABA from tomato shoots whichhad been supplied with racemic [2-l4C]ABA.  相似文献

脂肪组织可将多余能量以甘油三酯(triglycerides,TG)形式储存,在饥饿状态下可分解TG产生游离脂肪酸(free fatty acids,FFAs)为机体供能。此外,脂肪组织还具有体温调节和器官保护功能,并且越来越多的证据表明,脂肪组织也是一种重要的内分泌组织。脂肪组织分泌的蛋白质物质被称为脂肪细胞因子(adipokine),可通过自分泌、旁分泌和内分泌方式发挥多种生物学功能,例如调节能量摄入和能量消耗,调节糖脂代谢,抗炎和促炎反应。对整体而言,脂肪细胞因子可调节大脑、肝、肌肉、血管系统、心、胰腺和免疫系统等不同靶器官的生物反应。其中,脂肪细胞因子在糖脂代谢中发挥特定的作用,包括:葡萄糖代谢[瘦素(leptin)、脂联素(adiponectin)、抵抗素(resistin)];胰岛素敏感性 [瘦素、脂联素、锌-α2-糖蛋白(zinc-α2-glycoprotein,ZAG)];脂肪形成[骨形成蛋白4(bone morphogenetic protein 4,BMP4)]等生物反应过程。但目前对脂肪组织功能障碍与代谢之间机制的理解尚不完善。脂肪组织功能发生紊乱时,脂肪细胞因子的分泌会发生改变,并可能导致一系列与肥胖相关的代谢性疾病的发生。临床前和临床研究表明,激活或抑制特定脂肪细胞因子的信号转导可能是一种适合干预代谢疾病的方法。本文就部分脂肪细胞因子对代谢的调控作用做出综述,以增强对脂肪细胞因子功能的理解。  相似文献

8-14C-Zeatin is taken up rapidly and is extensively metabolized by excised bean axes during a 12-hour incubation at 26 C. Most of the radioactivity is found in the 80% ethanol soluble fraction and consists of zeatin, zeatin riboside, zeatin-5′-ribotide, as well as corresponding dihydrozeatin derivatives. The characterization of 14C-dihydrozeatin included crystallization to constant specific radioactivity. No cleavage of the zeatin side chain to adenine, hypoxanthine, their ribosides, or glycylpurine was detected. Dihydrozeatin has been previously isolated from yellow lupin seeds, and our experiments indicate that it can be derived through reduction of the side chain from preexisting cytokinin. While the total amount of zeatin metabolized is not affected by growth-inhibiting concentrations of abscisic acid or cycloheximide, the conversion to dihydrozeatin derivatives is curtailed. Although somewhat less effective than zeatin and zeatin riboside, dihydrozeatin and dihydrozeatin riboside also counteract the abscisic acid-induced growth inhibition.  相似文献

摄食和运动不仅是动物最主要的生理活动,同时也是机体代谢能量消耗的主要过程。相关研究表明鱼类摄食代谢主要由营养物质同化过程的耗能组成,其食物蛋白质同化耗能远低于陆生脊椎动物,而摄入营养物质不平衡可能导致摄食代谢耗能增加;鱼类摄食代谢和运动代谢上可能存在能量消耗与性能维持之间的权衡,且都可能受最大代谢能力限制。鱼类不仅在摄食和运动代谢的相对大小及其他特征上存在差异,而且在摄食和运动代谢竞争上存在不同的模式。从功率分配的角度,研究鱼类摄食和运动代谢特征及其与物种生态习性的关系将成为鱼类能量学研究的重要方向之一。  相似文献
