Despite anticoagulation therapy, up to one-half of patients with deep vein thrombosis (DVT) will develop the post-thrombotic syndrome (PTS). Improving the long-term outcome of DVT patients at risk for PTS will therefore require new approaches. Here we investigate the effects of statins—lipid-lowering agents with anti-thrombotic and anti-inflammatory properties—in decreasing thrombus burden and decreasing vein wall injury, mediators of PTS, in established murine stasis and non-stasis chemical-induced venous thrombosis (N = 282 mice). Treatment of mice with daily atorvastatin or rosuvastatin significantly reduced stasis venous thrombus burden by 25% without affecting lipid levels, blood coagulation parameters, or blood cell counts. Statin-driven reductions in VT burden (thrombus mass for stasis thrombi, intravital microscopy thrombus area for non-stasis thrombi) compared similarly to the therapeutic anticoagulant effects of low molecular weight heparin. Blood from statin-treated mice showed significant reductions in platelet aggregation and clot stability. Statins additionally reduced thrombus plasminogen activator inhibitor-1 (PAI-1), tissue factor, neutrophils, myeloperoxidase, neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs), and macrophages, and these effects were most notable in the earlier timepoints after DVT formation. In addition, statins reduced DVT-induced vein wall scarring by 50% durably up to day 21 in stasis VT, as shown by polarized light microscopy of picrosirius red-stained vein wall collagen. The overall results demonstrate that statins improve VT resolution via profibrinolytic, anticoagulant, antiplatelet, and anti-vein wall scarring effects. Statins may therefore offer a new pharmacotherapeutic approach to improve DVT resolution and to reduce the post-thrombotic syndrome, particularly in subjects who are ineligible for anticoagulation therapy.  相似文献

Animal models serve a vital role in deep venous thrombosis (DVT) research in order to study thrombus formation, thrombus resolution and to test potential therapeutic compounds. New compounds to be utilized in the treatment and prevention of DVT are currently being developed. The delivery of potential therapeutic antagonist compounds to an affected thrombosed vein has been problematic. In the context of therapeutic applications, a model that uses partial stasis and consistently generates thrombi within a major vein has been recently established. The Electrolytic Inferior vena cava Model (EIM) is mouse model of DVT that permits thrombus formation in the presence of continuous blood flow. This model allows therapeutic agents to be in contact with the thrombus in a dynamic fashion, and is more sensitive than other models of DVT. In addition, this thrombosis model closely simulates clinical situations of thrombus formation and is ideal to study venous endothelial cell activation, leukocyte migration, venous thrombogenesis, and to test therapeutic applications. The EIM model is technically simple, easily reproducible, creates consistent thrombi sizes and allows for a large sample (i.e. thrombus and vein wall) which is required for analytical purposes.  相似文献

目的:探讨脾切除及贲门周围血管离断术对肝硬化门静脉高压患者肝脏血流动力学的影响,并分析患者术后门静脉血栓形成的危险因素。方法:选择2016年1月-2017年12月在我院进行脾切除及贲门周围血管离断术的96例肝硬化门静脉高压患者,于术前、术后1d、3d、7d采用彩色多普勒超声对患者的肝脏血流动力学指标进行动态监测。统计术后7d内患者门静脉血栓的发生率,并将患者分为血栓组(n=28)和无血栓组(n=68),对两组患者的一般资料、手术指标、彩色多普勒超声监测指标等进行单因素分析,并采用Logistic多因素回归分析门静脉血栓形成的危险因素。结果:患者在术前、术后1d、3d、7d时的门静脉内径、最大流速、血流量呈逐渐降低的趋势,肝动脉内径、最大流速、血流量呈逐渐升高的趋势,且各时间点间两两比较差异有统计学意义(P0.05)。术后7d内有28例患者出现门静脉血栓,发生率为29.17%。血栓组和无血栓组患者在性别、年龄、体质量指数、手术时间、术前门静脉流速比较差异无统计学意义(P0.05);血栓组患者Child-Pugh分级为B级比例、术中出血量、脾质量、腹水量、术前门静脉内径均高于无血栓组,术后门静脉内径、术后门静脉流速均低于无血栓组(P0.05)。经Logistic多因素回归分析显示,患者术后门静脉内径、术后门静脉流速是门静脉血栓形成的危险因素(P0.05)。结论:行脾切除及贲门周围血管离断术的肝硬化门静脉高压患者术后进行肝脏血流动力学监测,有助于患者术后的疗效判断,且术后门静脉内径、术后门静脉流速是门静脉血栓形成的危险因素。  相似文献

This review is focused on the epidemiology of venous thromboembolism (VTE), including deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE), associated with pregnancy. Superficial vein thrombosis, a less hazardous and less studied type of thrombosis in pregnant women, is beyond the scope of this review. This study discusses the VTE incidence rate in women from developed countries for both antepartum and postpartum periods and for subpopulations of women affected by additional risk factors, such as thrombophilias, circulatory diseases, preeclampsia of varying degrees of severity, and Caesarean section. To minimize bias due to historical changes in medical and obstetric practices, lifestyle, diet, etc., this review is generally limited to relatively recent studies, i.e., those that cover the last 35 years. The absolute risk or incidence rate was used to ascertain risk of VTE associated with pregnancy. For the studies where the direct incidence rates of VTE were not reported, we calculated an estimate of the observed but not reported absolute incidence rates using the data presented in respective articles. The objective of this study is to establish a novel method for continuously monitoring thrombus progression with various outcome measures and to assess the efficacy of antithrombotic drugs in murine thrombosis model in mice. In the study, thrombus was induced in the femoral vein of mice by FeCl3 and monitored over time by spectral‐domain optical coherence tomography (OCT). Three‐dimensional images of thrombi with or without heparin as an antithrombotic agent were obtained from OCT angiography. In addition, several parameters of thrombi were analyzed and compared between control and anticoagulant groups. By using OCT, we were able to trace thrombus generation in the same mouse in real time. We found that in our model heparin reduced thrombus size by ~60% and thrombus cross‐sectional area by 50%. OCT results also show that both time to thrombus size (>0.02mm3) and time to occlusion (>30%) were significantly reduced after heparin addition. This study demonstrates that OCT reliably monitors thrombus generation and progression from various aspects including thrombus size. This enables us to measure the kinetic of thrombosis more accurately, and effectively evaluate the efficacy and activities of antithrombotic drugs. This model may represent a useful tool in antithrombotic drug discoveries in preclinical studies.   相似文献

Background

Patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) have a modified clinical presentation of venous thromboembolism (VTE) but also a worse prognosis than non-COPD patients with VTE. As it may induce therapeutic modifications, we evaluated the influence of the initial VTE presentation on the 3-month outcomes in COPD patients.

Methods

COPD patients included in the on-going world-wide RIETE Registry were studied. The rate of pulmonary embolism (PE), major bleeding and death during the first 3 months in COPD patients were compared according to their initial clinical presentation (acute PE or deep vein thrombosis (DVT)).

Results

Of the 4036 COPD patients included, 2452 (61%; 95% CI: 59.2-62.3) initially presented with PE. PE as the first VTE recurrence occurred in 116 patients, major bleeding in 101 patients and mortality in 443 patients (Fatal PE: first cause of death). Multivariate analysis confirmed that presenting with PE was associated with higher risk of VTE recurrence as PE (OR, 2.04; 95% CI: 1.11-3.72) and higher risk of fatal PE (OR, 7.77; 95% CI: 2.92-15.7).

Conclusions

COPD patients presenting with PE have an increased risk for PE recurrences and fatal PE compared with those presenting with DVT alone. More efficient therapy is needed in this subtype of patients.  相似文献

BackgroundDeep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a kind of blood stasis syndrome. Paeoniae Radix Rubra (PRR) has long been widely used for eliminating blood stasis in China, but its effect on DVT has not yet been reported.PurposeThe present study aimed to assess the potential inhibitory effect of the aqueous extract of PRR (i.e.,PRR dispensing granule, PRRDG) on DVT and explore the underlying mechanism.Study design/MethodsThe chemical profile of PRRDG was analyzed by high-performance liquid chromatography. Sprague-Dawley rats were intragastrically treated with PRRDG (0.625, 1.25 and 1.875 g crude drug/kg/d) once daily for 7 consecutive days. On the sixth day, a model of inferior vena cava (IVC) stenosis-induced DVT was established. All rats were sacrificed on the seventh day. Serum was collected for enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Thrombus-containing IVC was weighed and further processed for histopathologic examination, immunohistochemical analysis and western blotting. LiCl and LY294002 were adopted to block and increase the activity of glycogen synthase kinase 3β (GSK3β), respectively.ResultsThe chemical profile analysis showed that paeoniflorin, benzoylpaeoniflorin, albiflorin, gallic acid and catechin were the main constituents of PRRDG. LiCl decreased thrombus weight, reduced the number of inflammatory cells in thrombus and vein wall, down-regulated phosphorylated NF-κB p65 (p-p65) protein expression. Similarly, PRRDG decreased thrombus weight and tissue factor (TF) protein expression. PRRDG reduced the protein expression levels of P-selectin, monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 (MCP-1), intercellular cell adhesion molecule-1 (ICAM-1) and vascular cell adhesion molecule-1 (VCAM-1) in venous endothelium, serum levels of tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) and interleukin-1β (IL-1β), and the number of inflammatory cells in thrombus and vein wall. Moreover, PRRDG down-regulated p-p65 protein expression and up-regulated phosphorylated GSK3β (p-GSK3β) protein expression. LY294002 abrogated the inhibitory effects of PRRDG on thrombus weight, TF protein expression, TNF-α and IL-1β serum levels, inflammatory cells influxes, and p-p65 protein expression.ConclusionPRRDG prevents DVT by ameliorating inflammation through inhibiting GSK3β activity.  相似文献

The prediction of conditions that may result in thrombus formation is a useful application of computational fluid dynamics. A number of techniques exist, based on the consideration of wall shear stress and regions of low blood flow; however, no clear guideline exists for the best practice of their use. In this paper, the sensitivity of each parameter and the specific mechanical forces are explained, before the optimal indicator of thrombosis risk is outlined. An extracorporeal access device cavity provides a suitable geometry to test the methodology. The recommended method for thrombus prediction considers areas with a calculated residence time (RT) and shear strain rate (SSR) thresholds, here set to RT>1 and SSR < 10 s? 1. Evidence of thrombosis was found for physiological waveforms with an absence of reverse flow, which is expected to ‘wash out’ the cavity. The predicted thrombosis sites compare well with evidence collected from explanted devices.  相似文献

目的:探讨一种声弹性成像定量分析方法用于评价深静脉血栓(DVT)患者血栓进展的情况。方法:经处理得12条大隐静脉标本,采用声弹性成像技术分别在1d、3d、6d、9d采集静脉标本中血凝块声弹性图像;应用等硬度区域面积测量技术(AMEHR)进行处理,计算血凝块区域在静脉标本中所占的比例,并进行数据分析。结果:经由AMEHR技术分析,在1d、3d、6d、9d静脉标本中,血凝块区所占比例分别为46.72%±12.16%,71.93%±7.24%,82.17%±5.17%,91.92%±3.69%。随着血栓时间的增加,血凝块区域所占比例逐渐增加,且差异有统计学意义(P0.05);随着时间的进展,血凝块增长的速率逐渐降低(1-3d:25.21%,3-6d:10.24%,6-9d:9.75%)。结论:AMEHR技术对血栓形成时间的评估上有一定的应用价值,有望为评估血栓形成时间提供参考。  相似文献

A model of venous thrombosis, induced by injection of Feiba(R) (Factor Eighth Inhibitor Bypassing Activity) plus stasis, was studied in the jugular veins of anaesthetized rabbits. Right and left jugular vein segments were isolated by surgical technique for a 3 cm length, which included the bifurcation of the vessel, and left "in situ". Feiba(R) was injected through a marginal ear vein at the dose of 5 U/Kg/0.2 ml; 20 and 25 sec later the contralateral and the homolateral jugular vein segments were ligated respectively. Complete stasis lasted 10 or 20 min, then the vessels were removed, placed in a saline filled Petri dish and visually graded for red thrombus formation on a scale of 0 to 10. A correlation was found between severity of thrombosis and duration of stasis. This model appears to be suitable for testing heparin or heparin-like substances, in fact a linear correlation was found between log dose of the drug (injected i.v. 5 min before Feiba(R] and its antithrombotic effect for each duration of stasis tested. In particular the DE50 value calculated for 10 min stasis was 20.5 mcg/Kg i.v. The reproducibility of the model was good even with a small number of animals (n = 6) for each treatment group.  相似文献

We established three types of thrombosis models to explore the effects of the static magnetic field (SMF) on thrombosis in rats and mice with three different MF intensities. In the carrageenan-induced thrombosis model in rats, the SMF treatments reduced the black tail length of rats, extracorporeal thrombus, and the mass of wet and dry thrombus, and improved the coagulation index value. In FeCl3-induced arterial thrombosis model in rats, the SMF treatment showed some anti-thrombotic effects. More specifically, the SMF treatment affected rodent blood pressure, plasma plasminogen activator inhibitor, tissue-type plasminogen activator, thrombus mass, and thrombus protein content. In the adrenaline-induced thrombosis model in mice, the SMF treatment had certain effects on the diameter and blood flow velocity of mouse auricle microcirculation in fine veins and arteries. Overall, the highest MF intensities we tested, 20–150 mT, showed a trend of anti-thrombotic effect, indicating that the moderate-intensity SMF might serve as a potential treatment for clot-related diseases in the future. 目的:评价介入技术治疗急性和亚急性门静脉(portal vein,PV)及肠系膜上静脉(superior mesenterie vein, SMV)血栓形成的临床疗效。方法:对28例治疗急性和亚急性(发病一周至一月)的PV及SMV血栓患者进行介入治疗。按介入治疗途径不同分为下述两组:选择经颈静脉穿刺门静脉(transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt , TIPS途径)置管溶栓(19例)和经皮穿肝内门脉(percutaneous transhepatic)置管溶栓治疗(9例)。结果:所有患者随访一周至三个月,其中治疗成功24例,临床症状明显改善,无严重并发症。经TIPS途径治疗的患者组中,16例随访显示大部分血栓被清除,门静脉系统有血流通过,临床症状缓解。3例SMV及PV恢复部分血流,但临床症状无明显改善。经皮穿肝内门脉直接置管溶栓治疗组中,6例患者的PV及SMV内血栓大部分清除,血流基本改善,2例患者PV及SMV血流部分好转,临床症状无明显改善,严重并发症1例(术后两天死于腹腔出血)。结论:经TIPS途径介入技术和经皮穿肝内门脉直接置管溶栓治疗是治疗急性和亚急性PV及SMV血栓形成的有效方法,前者的疗效及安全性均好于后者。  相似文献

Local hemodynamics may strongly influence atherothrombosis, which can lead to acute myocardial infarction and stroke. The relationship between hemodynamics and thrombosis during platelet accumulation was studied through an in vitro flow system consisting of a stenosis. Specifically, wall shear rates (WSR) ranging from 0 to 100,000 s?1 were ascertained through computations and compared with thrombus growth rates found by image analysis for over 5,000 individual observation points per experiment. A positive correlation (P < 0.0001) was found between thrombus accumulation rates and WSR up to 6,000 s?1, with a decrease in growth rates at WSR >6,000 s?1 (P < 0.0001). Furthermore, growth rates at pathological shear rates were found to be two to four times greater than for physiological arterial shear rates below 400 s?1. Platelets did not accumulate for the first minute of perfusion. The initial lag time, before discernible thrombus growth could be found, diminished with shear (P < 0.0001). These studies show the quantitative increase in thrombus growth rates with very high shear rates in stenoses onto a collagen substrate. Biotechnol. Most cases of a predisposition to venous thrombosis are caused by resistance to activated protein C, associated in 95% of cases with the Factor V Leiden allele (FVL or R506Q). Several recent studies report a further increased risk of thrombosis by an association between the AB alleles of the ABO blood group and Factor V Leiden. The present study investigated this association with deep vein thrombosis (DVT) in individuals treated at the Hemocentro de Pernambuco in northeastern Brazil. A case-control comparison showed a significant risk of thrombosis in the presence of Factor V Leiden (OR = 10.1), which was approximately doubled when the AB alleles of the ABO blood group were present as well (OR = 22.3). These results confirm that the increased risk of deep vein thrombosis in the combined presence of AB alleles and Factor V Leiden is also applicable to the Brazilian population suggesting that ABO blood group typing should be routinely added to FVL in studies involving thrombosis.  相似文献

Endovascular aneurysm exclusion is a validated technique to prevent aneurysm rupture. Long-term results highlight technique limitations and new aspects of Abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) pathophysiology. There is no abdominal aortic aneurysm endograft exclusion model cheap and reproducible, which would allow deep investigations of AAA before and after treatment. We hereby describe how to induce, and then to exclude with a covered coronary stentgraft an abdominal aortic aneurysm in a rat. The well known elastase induced AAA model was first reported in 19901 in a rat, then described in mice2. Elastin degradation leads to dilation of the aorta with inflammatory infiltration of the abdominal wall and intra luminal thrombus, matching with human AAA. Endovascular exclusion with small covered stentgraft is then performed, excluding any interactions between circulating blood and the aneurysm thrombus. Appropriate exclusion and stentgraft patency is confirmed before euthanasia by an angiography thought the left carotid artery. Partial control of elastase diffusion makes aneurysm shape different for each animal. It is difficult to create an aneurysm, which will allow an appropriate length of aorta below the aneurysm for an easy stentgraft introduction, and with adequate proximal and distal neck to prevent endoleaks. Lots of failure can result to stentgraft introduction which sometimes lead to aorta tear with pain and troubles to stitch it, and endothelial damage with post op aorta thrombosis. Giving aspirin to rats before stentgraft implantation decreases failure rate without major hemorrhage. Clamping time activates neutrophils, endothelium and platelets, and may interfere with biological analysis.  相似文献

摘要 目的:对比分析置管溶栓(CDT)与药物机械溶栓(PMT)对急性下肢深静脉血栓(DVT)的安全性与有效性。方法:回顾性分析2018年1月至2021年12月在重庆医科大学附属巴南医院的98例单侧DVT患者临床资料,依据不同的治疗方式分为药物机械溶栓组(PMT组)48例和置管溶栓组(CDT组)50例,对比分析两组患者的围手术期指标、治疗后患侧大腿消肿率和小腿消肿率、血栓溶解率、并发症发生率及术后1年的PTS发生率。结果:PMT组患者的尿激酶使用量及住院时间较CDT组显著缩短,差异具有统计学意义(P<0.05),但术中出血较CDT组显著增加,差异具有统计学意义(P<0.05),PMT组患者的患肢消肿率和血栓溶解率显著高于CDT组,差异具有统计学意义(P<0.05),两组患者的并发症发生率及术后1年的深静脉血栓形成后遗症发生(PTS)率无显著统计学差异(P>0.05)。结论:PMT比CDT具有更好的患肢消肿率及血栓溶解率,且PMT治疗能显著缩短住院时间及减少尿激酶用量,但两者的围手术期并发症发生率及术后1年PTS发生率无显著差异。  相似文献

目的 建立稳定的兔急性肠系膜上静脉血栓形成模型,观察其病理学变化.方法 采用扎闭静脉、损伤血管壁、激活凝血因子等方法建立模型,分期观察病理学改变.结果 成模后可见血管腔内明显血栓形成;肠道粘膜上皮细胞水肿至坏死脱落伴大量炎性细胞浸润;血管内皮细胞从凹陷到局部坏死脱落,直至大面积坏死脱落,内皮下基质暴露.结论 本实验可成功建立兔肠系膜上静脉血栓形成模型,病理学改变符合临床,模型稳定可靠.  相似文献

BackgroundDeep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a kind of blood stasis syndrome. Spatholobi Caulis (SC) has been widely used for the treatment of blood stasis syndrome in China, but the underlying mechanism remains poorly understood.PurposeThe aim of present study was to investigate the anti-DVT mechanism of Spatholobi Caulis dispensing granule (SCDG).Study design/methodsA rat model of inferior vena cava (IVC) stenosis-induced DVT and a cell model of oxygen-glucose deprivation (OGD) were performed. Rats were orally administered with SCDG solution once daily for seven consecutive days. IVC stenosis-induced DVT was operated on the sixth day. Thrombi were harvested and weighed on the seventh day. Pathological changes were observed by hematoxylin-eosin (HE) staining. Tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α and interleukin (IL)-1β of serum were analyzed by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. C-reactive protein (CRP) was measured with turbidimetric immunoassay. Protein expressions in thrombosed IVCs and/or OGD-stimulated EA. hy926 cells were evaluated by western blot and/or immunofluorescence analyses.ResultsSCDG dramatically decreased thrombus weight. SCDG decreased tissue factor (TF) protein expression, inflammatory cells influxes in thrombosed vein wall and serum levels of inflammatory cytokines and CRP. Further, SCDG up-regulated Sirtuin 1 (SIRT1) protein expression and down-regulated acetylated-NF-κB p65 (Ace-p65) protein expression. Moreover, SCDG up-regulated nuclear factor-erythroid 2 related factor 2 (Nrf2) and heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1) protein expressions, and down-regulated phosphorylated-NF-κB p65 (p-p65) protein expression. In the OGD cell model, SCDG medicated serum decreased the protein expression of TF. SCDG medicated serum enhanced SIRT1 protein expression and reduced Ace-p65 nuclear protein expression. SCDG medicated serum promoted protein expressions of nuclear Nrf2 and total HO-1, and inhibited translocation of p65. Furthermore, inhibiting SIRT1 and Nrf2 reversed the protective effect of SCDG medicated serum on OGD-induced EA. hy926 cells.ConclusionSCDG may prevent DVT through antiinflammation via SIRT1 and Nrf2.  相似文献

False lumen thrombosis (FLT) in type B aortic dissection has been associated with the progression of dissection and treatment outcome. Existing computational models mostly assume rigid wall behavior which ignores the effect of flap motion on flow and thrombus formation within the FL. In this study, we have combined a fully coupled fluid–structure interaction (FSI) approach with a shear-driven thrombosis model described by a series of convection–diffusion reaction equations. The integrated FSI-thrombosis model has been applied to an idealized dissection geometry to investigate the interaction between vessel wall motion and growing thrombus. Our simulation results show that wall compliance and flap motion can influence the progression of FLT. The main difference between the rigid and FSI models is the continuous development of vortices near the tears caused by drastic flap motion up to 4.45 mm. Flap-induced high shear stress and shear rates around tears help to transport activated platelets further to the neighboring region, thus speeding up thrombus formation during the accelerated phase in the FSI models. Reducing flap mobility by increasing the Young’s modulus of the flap slows down the thrombus growth. Compared to the rigid model, the predicted thrombus volume is 25% larger using the FSI-thrombosis model with a relatively mobile flap. Furthermore, our FSI-thrombosis model can capture the gradual effect of thrombus growth on the flow field, leading to flow obstruction in the FL, increased blood viscosity and reduced flap motion. This model is a step closer toward simulating realistic thrombus growth in aortic dissection, by taking into account the effect of intimal flap and vessel wall motion.

Objective

Deep venous thrombosis is a common vascular problem with long-term complications including post-thrombotic syndrome. Post-thrombotic syndrome consists of leg pain, swelling and ulceration that is related to incomplete or maladaptive resolution of the venous thrombus as well as loss of compliance of the vein wall. We examine the role of metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9), a gene important in extracellular remodeling in other vascular diseases, in mediating thrombus resolution and biomechanical changes of the vein wall.

Methods and Results

The effects of targeted deletion of MMP-9 were studied in an in vivo murine model of thrombus resolution using the FVB strain of mice. MMP-9 expression and activity significantly increased on day 3 after DVT. The lack of MMP-9 impaired thrombus resolution by 27% and this phenotype was rescued by the transplantation of wildtype bone marrow cells. Using novel biomechanical techniques, we demonstrated that the lack of MMP-9 significantly decreased thrombus-induced loss of vein wall compliance. Biomechanical analysis of the contribution of individual structural components showed that MMP-9 affected the elasticity of the extracellular matrix and collagen-elastin fibers. Biochemical and histological analyses correlated with these biomechanical effects as thrombi of mice lacking MMP-9 had significantly fewer macrophages and collagen as compared to those of wildtype mice.

Conclusions

MMP-9 mediates thrombus-induced loss of vein wall compliance by increasing stiffness of the extracellular matrix and collagen-elastin fibers during thrombus resolution. MMP-9 also mediates macrophage and collagen content of the resolving thrombus and bone-marrow derived MMP-9 plays a role in resolution of thrombus mass. These disparate effects of MMP-9 on various aspects of thrombus illustrate the complexity of individual protease function on biomechanical and morphometric aspects of thrombus resolution.  相似文献
