本文对鸢尾属Iris 22个种(基本上包括了各个亚属的代表)及其近缘属植物射干属Belamcanda的 射干 B.chinensis(L.)DC.进行了根茎的异黄酮类成分的比较分析研究。结果表明,鸢尾属植物和射干 中普遍具有异黄酮类成分,这是它们的特征性成分之一。根据化学成分的特征,鸢尾属可以分为两大类 群:只含异黄酮甙元的类群和既含异黄酮甙又含甙元的类群。从化学成分的分布特征来看,无附属物亚 属subgen.Limniris只含异黄酮甙元,是一个比较自然的类群。鸡冠状附属物亚属subgen.Crossiris,除小 花鸢尾 I.speculatrix Hance外,是一个较自然的类群。野鸢尾亚属subgen.Pardanthopsis和射干属的成分 非常相似,有着密切的亲缘关系,是鸢尾属中原始的类群。从化学成分特征来看,野鸢尾亚属与琴瓣鸢 尾亚属subgen.Xyridion、鸡冠状附属物亚属、须毛状附属物亚属subgen.Iris都有着一定的联系。根据化 学成分、孢粉学、细胞学等特征,认为:华夏鸢尾I.cathayensis Migo和长白鸢尾I.mandshurica Maxim.为无附属物亚属与须毛状附属物亚属两亚属之间的过渡类型。小花鸢尾是无附属物亚属向鸡冠状附属物亚属过渡的中间类型。扁竹兰I.confusa Sealy和扇形鸢尾I.wattii Baker可能是同一个种。  相似文献

A comparative isoflavonoid analysis of 22 species of Iris, representing almost all the subgenera, and one species of its allied genus Balamcanda, B. chinensis (L.) DC. was carried out by TLC, with iridin, tectoridin, irigenin, tectorigenin, irisfloretin, dichotomin, wogonin, rhamnazin, apocynin, androsin being used as authentic compounds. The results show that the isoflavones are the characteristic constituents of Iris and Belamcanda. According to the distribution pattern of isoflavones, the Iris species here studied can be divided into 2 groups; one contains isoflavonoid aglycons, while the other contains both glycosides and isoflavonoid aglycons. From the point view of chemosystematics, subgen. Limniris contains isoflavonoid aglycons only and might be a natural group; subgen. Crossiris might be also a natural group when Iris speculatrix Hance is excluded; subgen. Pardanthopsis is similar to B. chinensis in the chemical constituent might be a primitive group in Iris and has close relationship with subgen. Crossiris, subgen. Xyridion and subgen. Iris. Based on the evidence from phytochemistry, palynology and cytology, Iris cathayensis Migo and I. mandshurica Pall. are considered intermediate groups between subgen. Limniris and subgen. Iris and I. speculatrix Hance an intermediate group between subgen. Limniris and subgen.Crossiris, while I. confusa Sealy and I. wattii Baker might be conspecific.  相似文献

The leaf anatomy of the rhizomatous Iris species with ensiform leaves and the related genera Pardanthopsis and Belamcanda is described. Their isobilateral leaves may or may not have a pseudo-dorsiventral structure. Variable characters of their leaf blades include: outline in transverse section, height and shape of papillae, form and structure of stomata, transverse section outline of marginal fibre strands and sclerenchy matous inner bundle sheath at phloem and xylem poles, forms of mesophyll arrangement, mesophyll structure and air canals, vascular bundle arrangement and the detailed structure of the larger vascular bundles, distribution of tannin, size and distribution of crystals. The taxonomic and ecological significance of these characters has been evaluated.
The anatomical characteristics of 25 supraspecific taxa in three genera are presented and compared in tables. The relationships and evolutionary position of these taxa are discussed. Each of the three subgroups within Iris appears to be correlated with a syndrome of anatomical characters. Some species currently of uncertain taxonomic position are discussed, and their classification based on anatomical data is suggested.

Carbohydrate utilization in Iris pseudacorus rhizomes was investigated under natural conditions in the field for a period of one year. The area of study was under flood from mid-December to end of May and wet for the rest of the period of study. Rhizome samples were collected in the wild twice monthly. in order to determine glucose content and amount of reducing and non-reducing sugars in the rhizome core material. For comparison with experimental anoxia, rhizomes were washed and kept under strict anoxia in the dark at +20°C. Carbohydrates were measured in groups as above. The amount of ethanol and the levels, of ATP. ADP and AMP were also measured and adenylate energy charge computed.
Glucose content of the rhizomes was 10 mg g−1 fresh weight in the autumn and decreased during winter to reach ca 5 mg g−1 fresh weight in the spring. Total reducing sugars increased in w inter while the amount of non-reducing sugars increased during early autumn and decreased during winter and spring. Not all non-reducing sugar stores had been used up in the spring when growth was resumed. Under experimental anoxia adenylate energy charge remained relatively high for 30 days (near 0.6 or over) and then dropped quickly to bekm 0.3. indicating death of the tissues. After 30 days under anoxia the amount of ethanol still increased and that of total reducing sugars decreased. The level of non-reducing sugars decreased from 0 to 15 days of anoxia before an increase took place durine the next 20 days.  相似文献

The insertion site numbers of the retrotransposable elements (TE) 412, gypsy and bilbo were determined in individuals of five distinct natural populations of the endemic species Drosophila madeirensis from the island of Madeira. The TE distributions were compared to those of the paleartic, widespread and phylogenetically closely related species, D. subobscura. In situ hybridization and Southern blots showed that in D. madeirensis the number of insertion sites ranged between 10 and 15, three and six, and 35 and 42 for elements 412, gypsy and bilbo, respectively. The corresponding values for D. subobscura were similar. Two of these elements, 412 and gypsy, had very few insertions in the heterochromatin, unlike bilbo, which displayed a high heterochromatic insertion number. The Southern band polymorphism was very high, leading to within-population variation of 97.2%, whatever the population and the TE concerned. Using the polymorphic TE insertion sites as markers to analyse population structure by AMOVA, adapted for RAPD (Randomly Amplified Polymorphic DNA) data, we found small but significant genetic differences between the populations on Madeira. This slight differentiation, coupled with similar copy numbers for each TE between populations, suggests that the D. madeirensis species consists of a single, only slightly subdivided population. These data also show that insular populations and endemic species of Drosophila can have as many copies of TEs as more widespread species.  相似文献

Biological invasions represent a serious menace to local species assemblages, mainly due to interspecific relationships such as competition and predation. One important invasive species worldwide is Harmonia axyridis (Pallas) (Coleoptera: Coccinellidae), which has invaded many regions of the world, threatening the native and endemic coccinellid assemblages due to negative interspecific interactions. These interactions have been widely studied at a local scale, but have been less studied at regional scales. Our aim was to estimate and analyse the potential spatial interaction associated with the co‐occurrence of H. axyridis with native and endemic species in Chile, considering bioclimatic and land cover variables. First, we created species distribution models (SDM) for H. axyridis, native and endemic coccinellids and six representative coccinellid species using maximum entropy technique. Then, we overlapped each SDM with land cover types to estimate the bioclimatic suitability within each land cover type. Finally, we identified the co‐occurrences of organisms according to the SDM and the land cover types, estimating in what land covers H. axyridis and the other coccinellids are more likely to co‐occur. Our results show that the suitable area for H. axyridis occurs from 30° to 42°S in Chile, while for native and endemic species this area is greater. The six selected species are mainly concentrated in central Chile, but differ in their potential suitable areas; Adalia angulifera Mulsant and Scymnus bicolor (Germain) have the largest range, and Mimoscymnus macula (Germain) has the most restricted one. The highest level of potential spatial interactions with H. axyridis occurs in central Chile, specifically in croplands and scrublands, and the lowest in primary native forest for all the species. Our results provide a spatially explicit baseline for coccinellid conservation and management of this invasive species.  相似文献

Primula merrilliana Schltr. is an endangered and narrowly-distributed endemic species of southern Anhui Province in China. In this study, the level of genetic variation and the pattern of genetic structure in six natural populations of P. merrilliana were assessed by using ISSR (inter-simple sequence repeats) markers. Based on ten primers, 137 clear and reproducible DNA fragments were generated, of which 109 were polymorphic. The statistical results indicated that there was a relatively low genetic diversity within populations, and a high genetic differentiation among populations (GST = 0.53, ΦST = 0.49). The level of population genetic diversity was correlated to habitat type and the gene flow (Nm) was low with only 0.45. The unexpected genetic structure of P. merrilliana may be explained by limited gene flow that was caused by habitat fragmentation and limited seeds and pollen dispersal ability, self-compatible breeding system and biennial life form.  相似文献

Psathyrostachys huashanica Keng., a species endemic to China, is only distributed in Huashan Mountain in Shaanxi Province. It has been listed as “national first-class protected rare species.” In this study, the microsatellites of barley were used to analyze genetic diversity of P. huashanica populations sampled from three valleys (Huangpu, Xian and Huashan Valleys) in Mt. Huashan. A total of 33 alleles of 11 loci were detected from 266 individuals. The observed average number of alleles (A) is 2.75; the effective number of alleles (Ae) is 1.67. The percentage of polymorphic loci (PPB) is 58.33% in Huangpu Valley, 75% in Xian Valley, 83.33% in Huashan Valley, and the total PPB is 83.33%. About 77.6% of (FST = 0.324) genetic diversity was observed within the subpopulations. Genetic differentiation within each subpopulations was higher than that among the subpopulations. Mean genetic distance is 0.17 (range: 0.010–0.401). Correlation analysis detected significant correlation between genetic distance and vertical distance of altitude in Huashan Valley. Differentiation mainly occurred between the higher altitude subpopulations and the lower altitude subpopulations, suggesting that altitude might be the major factor that restricted the gene flow between different altitude subpopulations and resulted in differentiation of subpopulations.  相似文献

The perennial herb Primula cicutariifolia Pax is an endangered and endemic species with narrow distribution in eastern Anhui and Zhejiang provinces of China. In this study, the levels of genetic variation and the pattern of genetic structure in five natural populations of P. cicutariifolia were assessed by inter-simple sequence repeats (ISSR) and simple sequence repeat (SSR) markers. Both markers revealed that there was remarkably low genetic variation within populations (e.g., He = 0.19 and 0.18, for ISSR and SSR respectively) and high differentiation among populations (GST = 0.714 and 0.611; ΦST = 0.698 and 0.599, for ISSR and SSR respectively). The level of population genetic diversity was correlated to population size only detected by ISSR markers. The genetic structure of P. cicutariifolia may be explained by limited gene flow that was caused by habitat fragmentation and limited seeds and pollen dispersal ability, self breeding system and biennial life form. To protect and avoid disappearance of P. cicutariifolia, much more attentions should be paid to protect all the remnant populations and their habitats, and three management units, i.e. Tianmushan, Damodao, and Panan units, were proposed.  相似文献

Hybridization is common among cyclical parthenogens, especially in zooplankton species assemblages of the genus Daphnia. To explore hybridization dynamics and the extent of clonal diversity in the Daphnia longispina complex, we analysed population structure in eight permanent lakes. Based on 15 microsatellite loci, three major taxonomic units emerged: two species, D. galeata and D. longispina and their F1 hybrids, supported by factorial correspondence analysis and two Bayesian methods. At the same time, the detection of backcross classes differed between methods. Mean clonal diversity was lowest in the F1 hybrids, as expected from the high rate of asexual reproduction. Within taxa, replicated genotypes were of clonal origin, but clonal lineages persisted in subsequent years in only one of three resampled lakes. In another lake, the taxon composition changed from being dominated by hybrids to complete dominance by one parental taxon. Such a year‐to‐year taxon replacement has not been reported for the D. longispina complex before. Our data on this hybrid complex illustrate that high‐resolution genotyping is essential for the understanding of ecological and evolutionary outcomes of hybridization in partially clonal taxa.  相似文献

Conservation of endemic species on oceanic islands is an essential issue for biodiversity conservation. Metrosideros boninensis (Myrtaceae) is an endangered tree species endemic to the Bonin Islands of the western North Pacific Ocean. This species is considered to be extremely rare with less than 400 adult individuals, a number that has fluctuated between the 1880s and 1980s through human influence. We analyzed the genetic diversity and genetic structure of this species using amplified fragment length polymorphism markers and microsatellite markers. Genetic diversity of M. boninensis was extremely low compared to related taxa and similar endemic species from small islands. This low genetic diversity might be attributed to a stepwise colonization process with repeated founder bottlenecks in the dispersal pathway to the Bonin Islands. Populations of M. boninensis showed significant genetic differentiation and isolation by distance over a small geographical scale, despite the fact that this species should have extensive gene dispersal ability. This genetic differentiation might be caused by limited gene flow via pollen and seed among populations and genetic drift amid a small number of remnant individuals. Taken together, these findings suggest that the genetic diversity and connectivity of tree populations on islands are more vulnerable to habitat fragmentation than previously thought. We offer some recommendations for management to ameliorate habitat fragmentation and biological invasion.  相似文献

MALDI-TOF MS is currently becoming the method of choice for rapid identification of bacterial species in routine diagnostics. Yet, this method suffers from the inability to differentiate reliably between some closely related bacterial species including those of the Acinetobacter calcoaceticus–Acinetobacter baumannii (ACB) complex, namely A. baumannii and Acinetobacter nosocomialis. In the present study, we evaluated a protocol which was different from that used in the Bruker Daltonics identification system (MALDI BioTyper) to improve species identification using a taxonomically precisely defined set of 105 strains representing the four validly named species of the ACB complex. The novel protocol is based on the change in matrix composition from alpha-cyano-4-hydroxycinnamic acid (saturated solution in water:acetonitrile:trifluoroacetic acid, 47.5:50:2.5, v/v) to ferulic acid (12.5 mg ml−1 solution in water:acetonitrile:formic acid 50:33:17, v/v), while the other steps of sample processing remain unchanged. Compared to the standard protocol, the novel one extended the range of detected compounds towards higher molecular weight, produced signals with better mass resolution, and allowed the detection of species-specific signals. As a result, differentiation of A. nosocomialis and A. baumannii strains by cluster analysis was improved and 13 A. nosocomialis strains, assigned erroneously or ambiguously by using the standard protocol, were correctly identified.  相似文献

Abstract Genomic DNA was extracted from seven species of Verticillium and digested with the restriction endonucleases Eco RI or Hae III. Hybridization with an homologous V. albo-atrum ribosomal RNA gene probe revealed restriction fragment length polymorphisms (RFLPs) which could differentiate V. lateritium, V. lecanii, V. nigrescens, V. nubilum and V. tricorpus . Digestion with Eco RI did not provide RFLPs which could distinguish between V. albo-atrum and V. dahliae . Digestion of genomic and mitochondrial DNA with Hae III showed distinctive patterns on ethidium bromide gels which allowed each species to be distinguished. Some intra-species variation in patterns occurred and a combination of mitochondrial and ribosomal RNA gene complex RFLPs has potential as an aid for the characterization of species and sub-species populations in the genes Verticillium .  相似文献

The Socorro isopod, Thermosphaeroma thermophilum, became the focus of a novel conservation strategy when apparent extirpation of the species from the wild prompted construction of the Socorro Isopod Propagation Facility (SIPF) near the native spring in Socorro, New Mexico, USA. We subjected captive populations to 4 habitat treatments over 2 consecutive 50-month experimental trials. Native populations of T. thermophilum remained significantly more abundant than captive subpopulations during the 100-month study. Population trends among artificial habitats differed slightly between the trials, but the magnitude of this difference was independent of linear flow within either pool series, suggesting that captive isopods responded to habitat quality. Isopod age structure was most heterogeneous in pools with plants suggesting that vertical structural diversity is necessary to maintain long-term viability of T. thermophilum in captivity. Observations of `breeding huddles' in the SIPF pools implied that controlled propagation may affect the social basis of the species' mating system. This could be a behavioral response to selection on body size that may reduce predation risks from larger male cannibals, or to increase fitness of both sexes under spatially altered sex ratios of artificial environments. Our results accentuate the need for continued research on species-specific management practices for geographically restricted invertebrate taxa such as the endangered Socorro isopod.  相似文献

The endangered Socorro Isopod, Thermosphaeroma thermophilum, is endemic to a single thermal spring in Socorro, NM. This species is cannibalistic, with males more cannibalistic than females, and with females and juveniles more vulnerable than males as prey. In 1990, the New Mexico Department of Game and Fish, created the Socorro Isopod Propagation Facility (SIPF) near the natural habitat, Sedillo Spring (SS), to increase total population size and to examine the effects of habitat heterogeneity on population growth. We report the genetic and morphological effects of this experiment, using the natural population as a control. Captive subpopulations experienced bottlenecks of known intensity and duration, as well as different intensities of cannibalism. Using 57 AFLP markers, we show that in 6 years (1990–1996), captive subpopulations diverged significantly from the natural population. Also during this 6-year period, body lengths of captive isopods diverged nearly 2-fold from the natural population, evidently because cannibalism and thus selection favoring large size was more intense in captive subpopulations than in nature. This hypothesis is supported by the fact that cannibalism and the apparent response to selection on body size became variable among captive subpopulations when physical structure was added to three of the four SIPF pools in April 1997. As expected if cannibalism was the source of selection for large body size, by August 1998 (15 months = 7–8 generations), the rate at which body size increased became inversely proportional to the amount of physical structure within pools. Although we are unable to separate the specific effects of population subdivision and cannibalism, our results show that these conditions in combination caused rapid changes in genetic variation and the external morphology of these captive subpopulations. Our results have important implications for future attempts to manage and propagate endangered species.  相似文献

We used Amplified Fragment Length Polymorphism markers (AFLP) and breeding system studies to investigate the population structure and reproductive biology of Hypochaeris angustifolia (Asteraceae: Cichorieae). This species is endemic to altiplanos of the Atlas Mountains (Morocco) where it occurs in scattered populations, and it is the sister species to c. 40 species of this genus in South America. PCoA, NJ, and Bayesian clustering, revealed that the populations are very isolated whilst AFLP parameters show that almost all populations have marked genetic divergence. We contend that these features are more in accord with a vicariance origin for the scattered populations of H. angustifolia, rather than establishment by long-distance dispersal. The breeding system studies revealed that H. angustifolia is a self-incompatible species, with low fecundity in natural and in experimental crosses, probably due to a low frequency of compatible phenotypes within and between the populations.  相似文献
