Chaenorhinum semispeluncarum H. Y?ld?r?m, Kit Tan, S. ?enol & A. Pirhan sp. nov. and C. yildirimlii Kit Tan, H. Y?ld?r?m, S. ?enol & A. Pirhan sp. nov. (Scrophulariaceae, C. sect. Microrrhinum) from east Anatolia are described and illustrated. They are both narrow endemics related to the rare C. cryptarum, also from east Anatolia. Chaenorhinum semispeluncarum occurs on calcareous marl rich in potassium nitrate at the entrance of wet caves in Malatya and differs from C. cryptarum by its erect habit, smaller corollas, shallowly ribbed and tuberculate, bicoloured seeds. Chaenorhinum yildirimlii from the neighbouring province of Erzincan was found on alluvial soil of stream banks and differs from C. semispeluncarum by its seed characters which are similar to those of C. cryptarum. Chaenorhinum yildirimlii differs from C. cryptarum, most conspicuously by the violet lower corolla lip spotted dark purple at the apex.  相似文献

The bacterial symbiont of the entomopathogenic nematode Heterorhabditis bacteriophora strain GPS11 was characterized by 16S rRNA gene sequence and physiological traits. The phylogenetic tree built upon 16S rRNA gene sequences clustered the GPS11 bacterial isolate with Photorhabdus temperata strains which have been previously isolated from Heterorhabditis species. The phylogenetic tree further identified four subgroups in P. temperata, and the relationships among these subgroups were confirmed by gyrase subunit B (gyrB) gene sequence analysis. The subgroup containing the GPS11 bacterial isolate differs from other subgroups in sequences of 16S rRNA and gyrB gene, physiological traits, nematode host species, and geographic origin. Therefore, the subgroup comprising the GPS11 bacterial isolate is proposed here as a new subspecies: Photorhabdus temperata subsp. stackebrandtii subsp. nov. (type strain GPS11). The type strain has been deposited in ATCC and DSMZ collections.  相似文献

Aims: This study was conducted to clarify the taxonomic status of Francisella sp. strain Ehime‐1, a fish pathogen, in relation to the fish pathogens F. piscicida and F. philomiragia subsp. noatunensis and to F. philomiragia subsp. philomiragia. Methods and Results: Francisella sp. Ehime‐1 was compared to F. piscicida, F. philomiragia subsp. noatunensis and several F. philomiragia subsp. philomiragia isolates through sequencing of the 16S rRNA‐gene and several house‐keeping genes and determination of biochemical and phenotypic properties. Results show that F. piscicida is indistinguishable from F. philomiragia subsp. noatunensis by sequence and phenotypic traits. Francisella sp. Ehime‐1 and F. philomiragia subsp. noatunensis are clearly separated from F. philomiragia. Francisella sp. Ehime‐1 is biochemically, phenotypically and genetically different from F. philomiragia subsp. noatunensis (=F. piscicida), but DNA–DNA hybridization does not clearly support establishment as a separate species (level of relatedness 64% and 73·4%, mean 68·7%). Conclusions: We propose to elevate F. philomiragia subsp. noatunensis to species rank as F. noatunensis comb. nov., while F. piscicida is considered a heterotypic synonym of F. noatunensis comb. nov. Evidence suggests that Francisella sp. Ehime‐1 represents a novel subspecies of F. noatunensis, for which the name F. noatunensis subsp. orientalis subsp. nov. is proposed (=DSM21254T, = LMG24544T). Significance and Impact of the Study: This study contributes to the taxonomy and characteristics of fish‐pathogenic Francisella spp.  相似文献
