南京2号人类头骨化石的复位和形态   总被引:1,自引:1,他引:0

南京2号人类头骨化石仅保留部分的额骨、顶骨、枕骨和颞骨,为一不完整的颅盖骨。其顶骨和枕骨有数条断裂缝,各断块之间有程度不一的错动,致使该颅盖骨显得外形异常。本项研究是对该颅盖骨的错动部分进行复位,结果表明,南京2号头骨有较大的顶骨、较小的上枕鳞相对宽度、可能较大的颅容量。这些形态提示该头骨与直立人有所不同而与早期智人相近。该头骨所具有的角圆枕、颞鳞顶缘形状、枕骨圆枕发育程度、枕骨的枕平面与项平面过渡情况、枕内隆突点与枕外隆突点的距离、头骨骨壁厚度、脑膜中动脉分支情况、头骨枕面观之轮廓线样式等形态细节,还很难作为可靠的依据把南京2号头骨鉴定为直立人。南京2号头骨很大可能是属于智人亚种(Homo sapiens sapiens)中的一员。  相似文献

2012年,山西襄汾县南贾镇上鲁村石沟砂场发现一件人类枕骨化石。该化石埋藏于汾河西岸第Ⅲ级阶地的砂砾层,地质时代可能是中更新世晚期。本文对枕骨形态特征进行描述,并将其与亚洲直立人、早期智人、早期现代人相关标本进行对比。观察发现,石沟古人类具有印加骨的形态特征,为中国古人类印加骨高频出现增添了新的证据;枕鳞中部没有发育枕骨圆枕,而具有最上项线,显示出枕骨形态的进步性,推测石沟古人类可能属于早期现代人。石沟古人类枕骨化石对于探讨中国及东亚地区古人类的系统演化问题提供了证据。  相似文献

KNM-ER 3733人类头骨化石的年代为距今1.78百万年,1975年发现于肯尼亚。Walker和Leakey注意到这具头骨与周口店直立人的在脑颅形态上很相近,但二者在年代上相差大约1百万年,故认为直立人形态在这1百万年期间是稳定的。长期来此观点缺乏更多的人类化石证据来支持。1993年在中国发现了南京1号人类头骨化石。该头骨与KNM-ER 3733头骨一样兼具脑颅和面颅,且都属于成年女性个体,但南京1号人类头骨化石的年代比KNM-ER 3733人类头骨化石的要晚大约1百万年。因此,南京1号人类头骨是目前所知的可用来验证直立人头骨形态是否在1百万年期间保持稳定的唯一合适的人类头骨化石材料。形态比较表明,这两个人类头骨化石的脑颅虽然在眶上圆枕上沟的发育程度、眶后收缩的程度、额骨横向隆起的程度、角圆枕和乳后突的发育与否、顶骨形状以及骨壁厚度的表现上有所差异,但有更多的形态性状显示出相近。这些相近表现在脑颅的长、宽、高值上;颅容量上;脑颅的低矮性上;脑颅最大宽之位置上;额骨、顶骨、枕骨之矢弧值的比例上;眶上圆枕的纤细上;顶骨的大小和矢向扁平性上;颞线位置和颞鳞顶缘的形状上;枕鳞的低宽形状上;上枕鳞与下枕鳞之间的转折形状和比例上;枕骨圆枕和枕骨圆枕上沟的发育程度上等。这两具头骨的面颅虽然有同属突颌型的面角、皆发育有鼻骨间嵴、两鼻骨组成的上部宽度与下部宽度皆差别很大,但有更多的形态性状显示出差别。这些差别表现在面型上、颜面上部扁平度上、眶形和眶型上、上颌额突外侧面的朝向上、鼻骨横向隆起程度上、鼻梁外突程度上、鼻型上、颧骨下缘外展程度上、颊高上、颧上颌下缘的形状上、上颌颧突基部的位置上以及颧结节的位置上等。因此,南京1号头骨与KNM-ER 3733头骨之间在脑颅上显示出较多的相近性状,在面颅上则显示出较多的相异性状。脑颅方面的相近性状大多具有分类上的鉴别价值。这两个头骨脑颅形态的相近支持把KNM-ER 3733头骨鉴定为"直立人"的观点;也提示了南京1号头骨的脑颅似乎保持着1百多万年前的"祖先"形态。如果直立人的某些成员在至少1百万年期间保持着形态稳定的话,则这种形态上的稳定主要是表现在脑颅形态上。这两具头骨的面颅形态上较大差异的意义,目前尚不清楚。  相似文献

1984年刘玉林等报道了在甘肃泾川发现的一具晚期智人头骨化石,判定该头骨代表一个女性青年个体。本文检查了顶矢状脊、乳突、耳孔上脊、枕外脊、枕外隆凸、枕骨上项线、枕骨圆枕和肌脊8项非测量性状,及星点间宽、星点至人字点距离、颅宽、耳上颅高、顶矢状弦、颞骨鼓板长和宽7项测量性状,并就7项测量性状与武山头骨进行了对比,认为它更有可能属于男性。  相似文献

1981年9月16日,沂源县图书馆文物普查小组在土门公社骑子鞍山附近进行旧石器考古调查时,由土门公社建筑队徐希贵等同志提供线索,在骑子鞍山东麓发现一处富含哺乳动物化石的红色土堆积。9月17日至18日由笔者和杨雷、柴向荣做了两天清理,于18日发现一件人类头顶骨化石。连同此间在该地点采集的人类头骨碎片可以复原成一个不太完整的头盖骨。采集和发掘到的人类化石计有头顶骨一件,两块眶上圆枕,部分额骨、枕骨。均石化,呈土黄色。从两件眶上圆枕的粗壮程度以及颜色看,可能代表两个个体。据初步观察,右侧眶上圆枕发育,外侧向后下延伸,同额鳞之间存在眶上沟。额骨低平,中央有明显的矢状脊。从残存的部分冠状缝和人字缝看,均已愈合。头盖骨化石上保留的一  相似文献

对郧县人类头骨化石与周口店直立人头骨作了形态上的比较以检验直立人特征在郧县头骨化石上的表现情况.比较项目包括眶上圆枕、枕骨圆枕、枕平面与项平面之间的转折情况、眶后收缩、颅骨最大宽位置、颅盖低平情况、前额后倾情况和颅容量.结果表明,在郧县人类头骨化石的这些特征项目中,有的因头骨破损和变形而难以肯定.其余的则应是早期智人的特征.从形态上讲,郧县人类头骨化石目前还难肯定是属于直立人,而有可能属于智人,如果认为“直立人”和“智人”是两个不同的物种的话.  相似文献

与面颅、脑颅和颅底不同,枕骨与人群间遗传信息的关系不明确且研究较少。传统形态测量方法对枕骨的研究难以全面反映枕骨的形态信息。为更加精细地探究枕骨形态与人群的关系,本文以亚洲、非洲和欧洲地区的103例现生男性头骨为研究对象,通过三维几何形态测量和多元统计分析的方法对枕骨三维形态和异速生长模式在人群间的差异进行了研究。研究结果表明,枕骨的大小和形状在现生人群中具有显著差异,然而这种差异并不足以区分不同人群。现代人枕骨的三维形态具有较大的变异,主要表现在枕外隆凸点的突出程度、上下相对位置以及枕平面与项平面的比例,其次表现在星点位置在前后、内外以及上下方向上的变化,斜坡的倾角变化等方面。异速生长的分析表明,不同人群中存在不同的异速生长模式,但是非洲和欧洲人群也存在相似的趋势。本研究认为枕骨三维形态在反映人群间遗传关系上作用较小,支持枕骨形态可能更多受到功能和环境等因素的影响。  相似文献

周口店直立人3号头骨是1929年发现的, 被步达生鉴定为一青春期或成年期的女性个体的头骨。后来, 步达生改变了观点, 认为该头骨是代表青春期早期的男性个体。魏敦瑞同意步达生的意见, 但认为该头骨应属于8岁或9岁的男性个体。此后,周口店直立人3号头骨的性别和年龄的鉴定一直困扰着许多古人类学家。1993年发现的南京直立人成年女性头骨在形态上和尺寸上与周口店直立人3号头骨有相近之处。本文对周口店直立人3号头骨与南京直立人等头骨作了形态和测量上的比较, 结果表明: 从头骨的尺寸大小, 眶上圆枕、枕圆枕和肌嵴的发育程度以及头骨骨壁厚度等来看, 周口店3号头骨有理由被认为是女性个体的。该头骨的鼓骨裂、下颌骨关节窝、泪腺窝、额窦、骨缝等都无法证明其是幼年个体。周口店直立人3号头骨应代表成年女性个体。  相似文献

人类颞骨因其复杂的表面及内部结构成为演化研究的重要解剖部位之一,然而由于缺乏对现代人颞骨形态与变异的细致研究及对比数据,对颞骨一些特征的定义和鉴定价值还存在争议。迄今为止,尚无学者对现代中国人群颞骨形态与变异做过专门研究。有鉴于此,本文对颞骨乳突后部一些典型性状的形态变异在现代中国人及部分古人类的表现情况进行了研究。研究结果表明:1)除乳突旁隆起的发育水平存在性别差异外(不受地区差异影响),乳突切迹、枕乳嵴、枕动脉沟的出现率和发育水平既不受地区差异影响,又无性别差异。2)现代中国人乳突后部形态总体表现为窄而深的乳突切迹、明显的乳突旁隆起、以及发育程度较弱的枕动脉沟和枕乳嵴;3)在本文所研究的性状中,乳突切迹、乳突切迹前端隆起、乳突旁隆起、枕乳嵴和枕动脉沟均呈现不同程度的个体变异;4)一些被认为属于尼安德特人衍生特征的性状在中国古人类和现代中国人的乳突后部都有出现;5)本文研究的颞骨乳突后部形态特征在中国更新世晚期人类的表现与现代中国人接近。  相似文献

观察1600个成入颅骨,顶间骨出现率为2.94%,皆在枕骨上项线上方,其中27.69%与最上项线交叉。观察60例7—38周龄胎颅的枕鳞上部以两个骨化中心进行膜内化骨的情况。本文认为顶间骨的形成是由于枕横裂未融合及异常骨化中心出现所致,并提出枕鳞上部与枕鳞下部之间的融合线位于上项线以上,而上项线和最上项线均不应认作是两部融合线的观点。  相似文献

Substance P (SP) levels in the spinal cords of very old rats are less than the levels in younger rats (Bergman et al., 1996). After injury to a peripheral nerve in young rats, immunoreactivity (ir) to the SP receptor, NK–1 (neurokinin-1), increases in the spinal cord ipsilateral to the injury and the increases are correlated with the development of thermal hyperalgesia (Goff et al., 1998). Thus we postulated that aged rats might display an increased sensitivity to thermal stimulation before peripheral nerve injury and that they might respond differently to injury than do younger rats. To test this hypothesis, we used the Bennett and Xie model (1988) of chronic constriction injury (CCI) to the sciatic nerve to induce a neuropathic pain condition. We investigated the effect of age on changes in NK-1 ir in superficial layers of the dorsal horn and on numbers of NK ir cells in deeper laminae at the L4-L5 levels of the spinal cord after CCI. NK-1 receptors were tagged immunohistochemically and their distribution quantified by use of computer-assisted image analysis. NK-1 ir changes were related to alterations in thermal and tactile sensitivity that developed after CCI in young, mature and aged (4-6, 14-16, and 24-26 months) Fischer F344 BNF1 hybrid rats. No differences in thermal or tactile sensitivity of young and aged rats were seen in the absence of nerve injury. After injury, aged rats developed thermal hyperalgesia and tactile allodynia more slowly than did the younger rats. NK-1 receptor ir and numbers of NK-1 ir cells in the dorsal horn increased with time post-injury in all three groups. NK-1 ir increases were correlated with the development of thermal hyperalgesia in those rats that displayed hyperalgesia. However, some rats developed an increased threshold to thermal stimuli (analgesia) and that also was correlated with increases in NK-1 ir. Thus NK-1 ir extent, while correlated with thermal sensitivity in the absence of injury, is not a specific marker for disturbances in one particular sensory modality; rather it increases with peripheral nerve injury per se.  相似文献

小黑瓢虫(Delphastus catalirtae(Horn))是粉虱害虫的重要捕食性天敌。本对小黑瓢虫从英国引种后的形态特征和生物学特性进行观察,用福州地区新的猎物寄主高氏瘤粉虱(Aleurotubercutatus takahashii David&Subramaniam)进行饲养繁殖,已成功地在室内定殖和繁衍。小黑瓢虫成虫寿命长达90—130天.可捕食粉虱卵、若虫、成虫各虫态,且捕食量大,活动能力强,是高氏瘤粉虱的有效天敌,具有很好的保护利用价值。  相似文献

Haematobia irritans (horn fly) infestation in cattle is responsible for over a billion dollars a year in global economic loss due to decreased milk production and lower feed conversion. There is significant need for new insecticidal agents since current treatments such as organophosphates and pyrethroids suffer from field resistance. Isoxazoline oxime ethers represent a new class of γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA) receptor channel blockers which show good activity (LD90 = 1.0 μg/mL) against horn flies in an in vitro feed assay and have demonstrated efficacy (>90% reduction at 1.0 mg/kg) as a topical treatment in a field study.  相似文献

The possibility of different contributions from peripheral and central sensitization to distinct neuropathic pain syndromes has been studied in rats with chronic constriction of the sciatic nerve (CCI), showing positive behavioral signs of neuropathic pain. In anesthetized, paralyzed rats extracellular recordings were performed in the spinal sciatic afferent territory (L5-L6), ipsilateral to the injured nerve, from wide dynamic range (WDR) neurons. The spontaneous activity and the responses to noxious stimuli applied to the proper area, i.e., the skin innervated by the constricted sciatic nerve, and to "inappropriate" areas, like the tail and the area of skin supplied by the contralateral sciatic and saphenous nerves, were analyzed before and after input from the constricted nerve was reversibly blocked at the ganglionic level by local anesthetic. The neurons discharged spontaneously with high frequencies, and responded to the stimulation of proper and "inappropriate" areas with high frequency discharge and prolonged afterdischarges. During the ganglionic block, confirmed by the lack of responses to proper area stimulation, the WDR neuron background activity was significantly reduced; the responses to all "inappropriate" afferences were present, the frequency discharges being comparable to the preblock ones while the afterdischarges were significantly shorter. Since the efficacy of "inappropriate" inputs is related to neuronal sensitization, the persistence of these responses indicates that central neurons remain sensitized during peripheral block. In view of the relationship between the examined spontaneous and stimulated activities and neuropathic pain symptoms, the data suggest that central sensitization contributes with different drive strength to such symptoms, playing a crucial role in extraterritorial pain.  相似文献

去传入神经可引起后角一些肽类变化和含肽的大颗粒小泡以胞吐的形式在非突触部位释放。为了探讨这一作用机制,本文切除一侧刚髭部皮肤,应用免疫组化方法观察并定量分析术后不同时间延髓后角浅层SP、CCK、NT、L-ENK阳性纤维的变化及利多卡因对后角浅层SP的影响。结果显示:术后1小时,延髓后角浅层SP损伤侧较对照侧升高,第3~7天未见显著性减少或升高,第8天开始脱失(P<0.05),第14天脱失更甚,第30天开始恢复,第90~120天基本恢复。CCK变化基本同SP。NT、L-ENK术后不同时间(7~120天),两侧比较未见显著性差异(P>0.05)。应用和多卡因后,后角浅层SP损伤侧较对照侧未见明显减少(P>0.05)。根据上述结果,本文推测:去传入神经导致延髓后角浅层神经肽的变化,可能是神经损伤区(神经瘤或再生芽)产生异常电活动,引起延髓后角浅层神经肽释放的结果。  相似文献

The analysis of horn growth may provide important information about the allocation of metabolic resources to secondary sexual traits. Depending on the selective advantages offered by horn size during intra- and inter-specific interactions, ungulates may show different investment in horn development, and growth variations within species may be influenced by several parameters, such as sex, age, or resource availability. We investigated the horn growth patterns in two hunted populations of Alpine chamois (Rupicapra r. rupicapra) in the Central Italian Alps. We tested the role of individual heterogeneity on the growth pattern and explored the variation in annulus length as a function of different factors (sex, age, hunting location, cohort). We then investigated the mechanisms underlying horn growth trajectories to test for the occurrence of compensatory or recovery growth and their potential differences between sexes and populations. Annulus length varied as a function of sex, age of individuals and, marginally, hunting location; no effect of cohort or individual heterogeneity was detected. Male and female chamois showed compensatory horn growth within the first 5½ years of life, though the partial convergence of horn trajectories in chamois suggests that this mechanisms would best be described as ‘recovery growth’. Compensation rates were greater in males than in females, while only compensatory growth rates up to 2½ years of age were different in the two populations. Besides confirming the sex- and age-dependent pattern of horn development, our study suggests that the mechanism of recovery growth supports the hypothesis of horn size as a weakly selected sexual trait in male and female chamois. Furthermore, the greater compensation rates in horn growth shown by male chamois possibly suggest selective effects of hunting on age at first reproduction, while different compensation rates between populations may suggest the occurrence of some plasticity in resource allocation to sexual traits in relation to different environments.  相似文献

East Africa (EA) has witnessed pivotal steps in the history of human evolution. Due to its high environmental and cultural variability, and to the long‐term human presence there, the genetic structure of modern EA populations is one of the most complicated puzzles in human diversity worldwide. Similarly, the widespread Afro‐Asiatic (AA) linguistic phylum reaches its highest levels of internal differentiation in EA. To disentangle this complex ethno‐linguistic pattern, we studied mtDNA variability in 1,671 individuals (452 of which were newly typed) from 30 EA populations and compared our data with those from 40 populations (2970 individuals) from Central and Northern Africa and the Levant, affiliated to the AA phylum. The genetic structure of the studied populations—explored using spatial Principal Component Analysis and Model‐based clustering—turned out to be composed of four clusters, each with different geographic distribution and/or linguistic affiliation, and signaling different population events in the history of the region. One cluster is widespread in Ethiopia, where it is associated with different AA‐speaking populations, and shows shared ancestry with Semitic‐speaking groups from Yemen and Egypt and AA‐Chadic‐speaking groups from Central Africa. Two clusters included populations from Southern Ethiopia, Kenya and Tanzania. Despite high and recent gene‐flow (Bantu, Nilo‐Saharan pastoralists), one of them is associated with a more ancient AA‐Cushitic stratum. Most North‐African and Levantine populations (AA‐Berber, AA‐Semitic) were grouped in a fourth and more differentiated cluster. We therefore conclude that EA genetic variability, although heavily influenced by migration processes, conserves traces of more ancient strata. Thrombostasin (TS) is a thrombin inhibitor found in the salivary glands of horn flies (Haematobia irritans). It is produced as an inactive form with a 76-amino acid propeptide in the N-terminus preceding the mature TS. A minimal recognition sequence by subtilisin-like proprotein convertases, Arg-Xaa-Xaa-Arg, is localized C-terminal to the propeptide. This study demonstrated that a gene cloned from the salivary glands of the horn fly encodes a new convertase, subsequently named horn fly proprotein convertase (HFPC), and that the recombinant HFPC expressed in insect HighFive cell culture specifically cleaves recombinant pro-thrombostasin, produced in E. coli, at the expected site. The relative cleavage efficiency of rHFPC was compared with that of recombinant human furin, a commercially available proprotein convertase. The result indicated that this newly identified proprotein convertase is of importance for the proteolytic maturation of thrombostasin, a protein secreted in horn fly saliva and used by the insect to counteract its host's haemostatic response.  相似文献
