Sex ratio and shell-thickness type are among the main components determining yield in oil palm. An integrated linkage map of oil palm was constructed based on 208 offspring derived from a cross between two tenera palms differing in inherited sex ratio. The map consisted of 210 genomic simple sequence repeats (SSRs), 28 expressed sequence tag SSRs, 185 amplified fragment length polymorphism markers, and the Sh locus, which controls shell-thickness phenotype, distributed across 16 linkage groups covering 1,931 cM, with an average marker distance of 4.6 cM. Quantitative trait locus (QTL) analysis identified eight QTLs across six linkage groups associated with sex ratio and related traits. These QTLs explained 8.1–13.1 % of the total phenotypic variance. The QTL for sex ratio on linkage group 8 overlapped with a QTL for number of male inflorescences. In most cases a specific QTL allele combination was responsible for genotype class mean differences, suggesting that most QTLs in heterozygous oil palm are likely to be segregating for multiple alleles with different degrees of dominance. In addition, two new SSRs were shown to flank the major Sh locus controlling the fruit variety type in oil palm.  相似文献

The razor clam (Sinonovacula constricta) is an important aquaculture species, for which a high-density genetic linkage map would play an important role in marker-assisted selection (MAS). In this study, we constructed a high-density genetic map and detected quantitative trait loci (QTLs) for Sinonovacula constricta with an F1 cross population by using the specific locus amplified fragment sequencing (SLAF-seq) method. A total of 315,553 SLAF markers out of 467.71 Mreads were developed. The final linkage map was composed of 7516 SLAFs (156.60-fold in the parents and 20.80-fold in each F1 population on average). The total distance of the linkage map was 2383.85 cM, covering 19 linkage groups with an average inter-marker distance of 0.32 cM. The proportion of gaps less than 5.0 cM was on average 96.90%. A total of 16 suggestive QTLs for five growth-related traits (five QTLs for shell height, six QTLs for shell length, three QTLs for shell width, one QTL for total body weight, and one QTL for soft body weight) were identified. These QTLs were distributed on five linkage groups, and the regions showed overlapping on LG9 and LG13. In conclusion, the high-density genetic map and QTLs for S. constricta provide a valuable genetic resource and a basis for MAS.  相似文献

In this study, totally 54 selected polymorphic SSR loci of Chinese shrimp (Fenneropenaeus chinensis), in addition with the previous linkage map of AFLP and RAPD markers, were used in consolidated linkage maps that composed of SSR, AFLP and RAPD markers of female and male construction, respectively. The female linkage map contained 236 segregating markers, which were linked in 44 linkage groups, and the genome coverage was 63.98%. The male linkage map contained 255 segregating markers, which were linked in 50 linkage groups, covering 63.40% of F. chinensis genome. There were nine economically important traits and phenotype characters of F. chinensis were involved in QTL mapping using multiple-QTL mapping strategy. Five potential QTLs associated with standard length (q-standardl-01), with cephalothorax length (q-cephal-01), with cephaloghorax width (q-cephaw-01), with the first segment length (q-firsel-01) and with anti-WSSV (q-antiWSSV-01) were detected on female LG1 and male LG44 respectively with LOD > 2.5. The QTL q-firsel-01 was at 73.603 cM of female LG1. Q-antiWSSV-01 was at 0 cM of male LG44. The variance explained of these five QTLs was from 19.7–33.5% and additive value was from −15.9175 to 7.3675. The closest markers to these QTL were all SSR, which suggested SSR marker was superior to AFLP and RAPD in the QTL mapping.  相似文献

A genetic linkage map of grapevine was constructed using a pseudo-testcross strategy based upon 138 individuals derived from a cross of Vitis vinifera Cabernet Sauvignon × Vitis riparia Gloire de Montpellier. A total of 212 DNA markers including 199 single sequence repeats (SSRs), 11 single strand conformation polymorphisms (SSCPs) and two morphological markers were mapped onto 19 linkage groups (LG) which covered 1,249 cM with an average of 6.7 cM between markers. The position of SSR loci in the maps presented here is consistent with the genome sequence. Quantitative traits loci (QTLs) for several traits of inflorescence and flower morphology, and downy mildew resistance were investigated. Two novel QTLs for downy mildew resistance were mapped on linkage groups 9 and 12, they explain 26.0–34.4 and 28.9–31.5% of total variance, respectively. QTLs for inflorescence morphology with a large effect (14–70% of total variance explained) were detected close to the Sex locus on LG 2. The gene of the enzyme 1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylic acid synthase, involved in melon male organ development and located in the confidence interval of all QTLs detected on the LG 2, could be considered as a putative candidate gene for the control of sexual traits in grapevine. Co-localisations were found between four QTLs, detected on linkage groups 1, 14, 17 and 18, and the position of the floral organ development genes GIBBERELLIN INSENSITIVE1, FRUITFULL, LEAFY and AGAMOUS. Our results demonstrate that the sex determinism locus also determines both flower and inflorescence morphological traits.  相似文献

The identification of genetic factors underlying the complex responses of plants to drought stress provides a solid basis for improving drought resistance. The stay-green character in sorghum (Sorghum bicolor L. Moench) is a post-flowering drought resistance trait, which makes plants resistant to premature senescence under drought stress during the grainfilling stage. The objective of this study was to identify quantitative trait loci (QTLs) that control premature senescence and maturity traits, and to investigate their association under post-flowering drought stress in grain sorghum. A genetic linkage map was developed using a set of recombinant inbred lines (RILs) obtained from the cross B35 × Tx430, which were scored for 142 restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) markers. The RILs and their parental lines were evaluated for post-flowering drought resistance and maturity in four environments. Simple interval mapping identified seven stay-green QTLs and two maturity QTLs. Three major stay-green QTLs (SGA, SGD and SGG) contributed to 42% of the phenotypic variability (LOD 9.0) and four minor QTLs (SGB, SGI.1, SGI.2, and SGJ) significantly contributed to an additional 25% of the phenotypic variability in stay-green ratings. One maturity QTL (DFB) alone contributed to 40% of the phenotypic variability (LOD 10.0), while the second QTL (DFG) significantly contributed to an additional 17% of the phenotypic variability (LOD 4.9). Composite interval mapping confirmed the above results with an additional analysis of the QTL × Environment interaction. With heritability estimates of 0.72 for stay-green and 0.90 for maturity, the identified QTLs explained about 90% and 63% of genetic variability for stay-green and maturity traits, respectively. Although stay-green ratings were significantly correlated (r=0.22, P ≤ 0.05) with maturity, six of the seven stay-green QTLs were independent of the QTLs influencing maturity. Similarly, one maturity QTL (DFB) was independent of the stay-green QTLs. One stay-green QTL (SGG), however, mapped in the vicinity of a maturity QTL (DFG), and all markers in the vicinity of the independent maturity QTL (DFB) were significantly (P ≤ 0.1) correlated with stay-green ratings, confounding the phenotyping of stay-green. The molecular genetic analysis of the QTLs influencing stay-green and maturity, together with the association between these two inversely related traits, provides a basis for further study of the underlying physiological mechanisms and demonstrates the possibility of improving drought resistance in plants by pyramiding the favorable QTLs. Powdery mildew caused by Podosphaera xanthii is an important foliar disease in melon. To find molecular markers for marker-assisted selection, we constructed a genetic linkage map of melon based on a population of 93 recombinant inbred lines derived from crosses between highly resistant AR 5 and susceptible ‘Earl’s Favourite (Harukei 3)’. The map spans 877 cM and consists of 167 markers, comprising 157 simple sequence repeats (SSRs), 7 sequence characterized amplified region/cleavage amplified polymorphic sequence markers and 3 phenotypic markers segregating into 20 linkage groups. Among them, 37 SSRs and 6 other markers were common to previous maps. Quantitative trait locus (QTL) analysis identified two loci for resistance to powdery mildew. The effects of these QTLs varied depending on strain and plant stage. The percentage of phenotypic variance explained for resistance to the pxA strain was similar between QTLs (R 2 = 22–28%). For resistance to pxB strain, the QTL on linkage group (LG) XII was responsible for much more of the variance (41–46%) than that on LG IIA (12–13%). The QTL on LG IIA was located between two SSR markers. Using an independent population, we demonstrated the effectiveness of these markers. This is the first report of universal and effective markers linked to a gene for powdery mildew resistance in melon.  相似文献

The objective of the present research was to map QTLs associated with agronomic traits such as days from sowing to flowering, plant height, yield and leaf-related traits in a population of recombinant inbred lines (RILs) of sunflower (Helianthus annuus). Two field experiments were conducted with well-irrigated and partially irrigated conditions in randomized complete block design with three replications. A map with 304 AFLP and 191 SSR markers with a mean density of 1 marker per 3.7 cM was used to identify QTLs related to the studied traits. The difference among RILs was significant for all studied traits in both conditions. Three to seven QTLs were found for each studied trait in both conditions. The percentage of phenotypic variance (R 2) explained by QTLs ranged from 4 to 49%. Three to six QTLs were found for each yield-related trait in both conditions. The most important QTL for grain yield per plant on linkage group 13 (GYP-P-13-1) under partial-irrigated condition controls 49% of phenotypic variance (R 2). The most important QTL for 1,000-grain weight (TGW-P-11-1) was identified on linkage group 11. Favorable alleles for this QTL come from RHA266. The major QTL for days from sowing to flowering (DSF-P-14-1) were observed on linkage group 14 and explained 38% of the phenotypic variance. The positive alleles for this QTL come from RHA266. The major QTL for HD (HD-P-13-1) was also identified on linkage group 13 and explained 37% of the phenotypic variance. Both parents (PAC2 and RHA266) contributed to QTLs controlling leaf-related traits in both conditions. Common QTL for leaf area at flowering (LAF-P-12-1, LAF-W-12-1) was detected in linkage group 12. The results emphasise the importance of the role of linkage groups 2, 10 and 13 for studied traits. Genomic regions on the linkage groups 9 and 12 are specific for QTLs of leaf-related traits in sunflower.  相似文献

Genome wide quantitative trait loci (QTL) mapping was conducted in Arabidopsis thaliana using F2 mapping population (Col-0 × Don-0) and SNPs markers. A total of five linkage groups were obtained with number of SNPs varying from 45 to 59 per linkage group. The composite interval mapping detected a total of 36 QTLs for 15 traits and the number of QTLs ranged from one (root length, root dry biomass, cauline leaf width, number of internodes and internode distance) to seven (for bolting days). The range of phenotypic variance explained (PVE) and logarithm of the odds ratio of these 36 QTLs was found be 0.19–38.17% and 3.0–6.26 respectively. Further, the epistatic interaction detected one main effect QTL and four epistatic QTLs. Five major QTLs viz. Qbd.nbri.4.3, Qfd.nbri.4.2, Qrdm.nbri.5.1, Qncl.nbri.2.2, Qtd.nbri.4.1 with PVE > 15.0% might be useful for fine mapping to identify genes associated with respective traits, and also for development of specialized population through marker assisted selection. The identification of additive and dominant effect QTLs and desirable alleles of each of above mentioned traits would also be important for future research.  相似文献

The tea industry is significant in the economies of tea-growing countries. Prospects of improving yield of made tea genomic information were explored using clones from a cross between clones TRFCA SFS150 and AHP S15/10. The 42 clones were tested in two distinct tea-growing regions in Kenya. Bulk segregant analysis was performed followed by complete genotyping. Out of 260 informative markers, 100 markers that showed 1:1 segregation were used to construct a linkage map. The map contained 30 (19 maternal and 11 paternal) linkage groups that spanned 1,411.5 cM with mean interval of 14.1 cM between loci. Based on the map, quantitative trait loci (QTL) analysis was done on yield data over 2003–2007 across the two sites, Timbilil and Kangaita. Twenty-three putative QTLs were detected, 16 in five different linkage groups for Timbilil, two in two groups for Kangaita, and the rest were associated with unassigned markers. No QTL was detected at both sites, which showed strong genotype × site interaction (G × E) but highly effective within-site heritability ([^(h)]2 {\hat{h}^2} generally > 0.7). Problems of overestimated and spurious QTL effects arising from the smallness of the population should be mitigated by generally high within-site heritability. At least two unassigned markers associated with yield at Kangaita over the whole study period, suggesting potential as candidate markers for site-specific marker-assisted selections. Implications of the results with respect to mapping population, G × E, and marker-assisted selection are discussed.  相似文献

Drought is a major limitation for rice production in rainfed ecosystems. Identifying quantitative trait loci (QTLs) linked to drought resistance provides opportunity to breed high yielding rice varieties suitable for drought-prone areas. Although considerable efforts were made in mapping QTLs associated with drought-resistance traits in rice, most of the studies involved indica × japonica crosses and hence, the drought-resistance alleles were contributed mostly by japonica ecotypes. It is desirable to look for genetic variation within indica ecotypes adapted to target environment (TE) as the alleles from japonica ecotype may not be expressed under lowland conditions. A subset of 250 recombinant inbred lines (RILs) of F8 generation derived from two indica rice lines (IR20 and Nootripathu) with contrasting drought-resistance traits were used to map the QTLs for morpho-physiological and plant production traits under drought stress in the field in TE. A genetic linkage map was constructed using 101 polymorphic PCR-based markers distributed over the 12 chromosomes covering a total length of 1,529 cM in 17 linkage groups with an average distance of 15.1 cM. Composite interval mapping analysis identified 22 QTLs, which individually explained 4.8–32.2% of the phenotypic variation. Consistent QTLs for drought-resistance traits were detected using locally adapted indica ecotypes, which may be useful for rainfed rice improvement.  相似文献

Half-smooth tongue sole (Cynoglossus semilaevis) is a commercially important marine fish species in China. A set of type I microsatellite markers were identified through bioinformatic mining of the GenBank database. Thirteen of these markers showed polymorphisms through genotyping a sample of 30 individuals. A total of 47 alleles were detected, with an average of 3.6 alleles per locus. The number of alleles, observed and expected heterozygosity per locus ranged from two to five, from 0.14 to 0.93 and from 0.27 to 0.77, respectively. Three loci significantly deviated from Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium after Bonferroni correction (P < 0.0038) and no significant linkage disequilibrum between pairs of loci was found. The markers identified in this study will contribute to construction of genetic linkage maps and mapping of quantitative trait loci (QTL) of C. semilaevis.  相似文献

We have constructed a partial linkage map in tetraploid potato which integrates simplex, duplex and double-simplex AFLP markers. The map consists of 231 maternal and 106 paternal markers with total map lengths of 990.9 cM and 484.6 cM. The longer of the two cumulative map lengths represents approximately 25% coverage of the genome. In tetraploids, much of the polymorphism between parental clones is masked by `dosage' which significantly reduces the number of individual markers that can be scored in a population. Consequently, the major advantage of using AFLPs – their high multiplex ratio – is reduced to the point where the use of alternative multi-allelic marker types would be significantly more efficient. The segregation data and map information have been used in a QTL analysis of late blight resistance, and a multi-allelic locus at the proximal end of chromosome VIII has been identified which contributes significantly to the expression of resistance. No late blight resistance genes or QTLs have previously been mapped to this location. Received: 1 October 1997 / Accepted: 18 March 1998  相似文献

Recombinant chromosome substitution lines (RCSLs) were developed in BC3 generation to introduce segments of a wild barley strain ‘H602’ (Hordeum vulgare ssp. spontaneum) into a barley cultivar ‘Haruna Nijo’ (H. vulgare ssp. vulgare) genetic background. One hundred thirty four RCSLs were genotyped by 25 SSR and 60 EST markers, which were localized on a linkage map of doubled haploid lines (DHLs) derived from the same cross combination. Graphical genotyping revealed that the observed average substitution ratio of H602 segment (12.9%) agreed with the expected substitution ratio (12.5%), and a minimum set of 19 RCSLs represented the entire H602 genome. Phenotypes of five qualitative and nine quantitative traits were scored in both the RCSLs and DHLs. Five qualitative traits were localized as morphological markers on the linkage map of the DHLs, and these molecular markers were aligned on the respective chromosomal regions in the RCSLs. Simple and composite interval mapping procedures detected a total of 18 and 24 QTLs for nine qualitative traits on the RCSLs and DHLs, respectively. Several QTLs were localized at coincident or very close regions on both linkage maps. In spite of general inferior agronomic performances in wild barley, several H602 QTL alleles showed agronomically positive effects. These RCSLs should contribute to substitution of favorable alleles from wild barley into cultivated barley. These RCSLs are also available as sources of near isogenic lines, with which we can apply advanced genetic analysis methods such as isolation of QTLs and detection of epistatic interactions among QTLs.  相似文献

QTL analysis of flower and fruit traits in sour cherry   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2
The map locations and effects of quantitative trait loci (QTLs) were estimated for eight flower and fruit traits in sour cherry (Prunus cerasus L.) using a restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) genetic linkage map constructed from a double pseudo-testcross. The mapping population consisted of 86 progeny from the cross between two sour cherry cultivars, Rheinische Schattenmorelle (RS)×Erdi Botermo (EB). The genetic linkage maps for RS and EB were 398.2 cM and 222.2 cM, respectively, with an average interval length of 9.8 cM. The RS/EB linkage map that was generated with shared segregating markers consisted of 17 linkage groups covering 272.9 cM with an average interval length of 4.8 cM. Eleven putatively significant QTLs (LOD >2.4) were detected for six characters (bloom time, ripening time, % pistil death, % pollen germination, fruit weight, and soluble solids concentration). The percentage of phenotypic variation explained by a single QTL ranged from 12.9% to 25.9%. Of the QTLs identified for the traits in which the two parents differed significantly, 50% had allelic effects opposite to those predicted from the parental phenotype. Three QTLs affecting flower traits (bloom time, % pistil death, and % pollen germination) mapped to a single linkage group, EB 1. The RFLP closest to the bloom time QTL on EB 1 was detected by a sweet cherry cDNA clone pS141 whose partial amino acid sequence was 81% identical to that of a Japanese pear stylar RNase. Golden shell color and mineral content are important economic traits of Pacific oyster (Crassostrea gigas). In this study, we mapped a series of quantitative trait loci (QTLs) that control zinc (Zn) and magnesium (Mg) content, shell color and growth performance to two sex-averaged linkage maps from the FAM-A and FAM-B families. In total, ten QTLs were identified in seven linkage groups (LGs) in the FAM-B family, and seven QTLs were identified in four linkage groups in the FAM-A family. Two QTLs affecting the trait of golden shell color were identified in LG8 of the FAM-A and LG10 of the FAM-B families, which could explain 20.2 and 10.5% of the phenotypic variations, respectively. Two QTLs for Zn content were identified that could contribute to 17.9 and 34.44% of the phenotypic variations in FAM-A. Six QTLs for Zn and Mg contents were identified in four LGs (LG1, LG2, LG5, and LG9) in FAM-B, which explained 13.5–26.7% of the phenotypic variations. In addition, seven QTLs related to oyster growth were recognized in both FAM-A and FAM-B families accounting for 14.6–36.7% of the phenotypic variations. All of the DNA markers in QTL regions were blasted and 14 genes associated with above traits were identified. The mRNA expression of these genes was determined by quantitative RT-PCR. These QTLs and candidate genes could be used as potential targets for marker-assisted selection in C. gigas breeding.  相似文献

A rye doubled haploid (DH) mapping population (Amilo × Voima) segregating for pre-harvest sprouting (PHS) was generated through anther culture of F1 plants. A linkage map was constructed using DHs, to our knowledge, for the first time in rye. The map was composed of 289 loci: amplified fragment length polymorphism (AFLP), microsatellite, random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD), retrotransposon-microsatellite amplified polymorphism (REMAP), inter-retrotransposon amplified polymorphism (IRAP), inter-simple sequence repeat (ISSR) and sequence-related amplified polymorphism (SRAP) markers, and extended altogether 732 cM (one locus in every 2.5 cM). All of the seven rye chromosomes and four unplaced groups were formed. Distorted segregation of markers (P ≤ 0.05) was detected on all chromosomes. One major quantitative trait locus (QTL) affecting α-amylase activity was found, which explained 16.1% of phenotypic variation. The QTL was localized on the long arm of chromosome 5R. Microsatellites SCM74, RMS1115, and SCM77, nearest to the QTL, can be used for marker-assisted selection as a part of a rye breeding program to decrease sprouting damage.  相似文献

Quality, specifically protein content and gluten strength are among the main objectives of a durum wheat breeding program. The aim of this work was to validate quantitative trait loci (QTLs) associated with grain protein content (GPC) and gluten strength measured by SDS sedimentation volume (SV) and to find additional QTLs expressed in Argentinean environments. Also, epistatic QTL and QTL x environmental interactions were analyzed. A mapping population of 93 RILs derived from the cross UC1113 x Kofa showing extreme values in gluten quality was used. Phenotypic data were collected along six environments (three locations, two years). Main effect QTLs associated with GPC were found in equivalent positions in two environments on chromosomes 3BS (R2 = 21.0-21.6%) and 7BL (R2 = 12.1-13%), and in one environment on chromosomes 1BS, 2AL, 2BS, 3BL, 4AL, 5AS, 5BL and 7AS. The most important and stable QTL affecting SV was located on chromosome 1BL (Glu-B1) consistently detected over the six environments (R2 = 20.9- 54.2%). Additional QTLs were found in three environments on chromosomes 6AL (R2 = 6.4-12.5%), and in two environments on chromosomes 6BL (R2 = 11.5-12.1%), 7AS (R2 = 8.2-10.2%) and 4BS (R2 = 11–16.4%). In addition, pleiotropic effects were found affecting grain yield, test weight, thousand-kernel- weight and days to heading in some of these QTLs. Epistatic QTLs and QTL x environment interactions were found for both quality traits, mostly for GPC. The flanking markers of the QTLs detected in this work could be efficient tools to select superior genotypes for the mentioned traits.  相似文献

A genetic map of Pedunculate oak (Quercus robur) was constructed based on one 5S rDNA, 271 RAPD, ten SCAR, 18 microsatellite, one minisatellite, and six isozyme markers. A total of 94 individuals from a full-sib family was genotyped. Two maps, including 307 markers, were constructed according to the “two-way pseudo-testcross” mapping strategy. Testcross markers segregating in the 1 : 1 ratio were first used to establish separate maternal (893.2 cM, 12 linkage groups) and paternal (921.7 cM, 12 linkage groups) maps. Both maps provided 85–90% genome coverage. Homologies between the male and female linkage groups were then identified based on 74 intercross markers segregating in the 3 : 1, 1 : 2 : 1 and 1 : 1 : 1 : 1 ratios (RAPDs, SCARs, SSRs, 5S rDNA and isozymes) in the hybrid progeny. In each map, approximately 18% of the studied markers showed segregation distortion. More than 60% of the skewed markers were due to an excess of heterozygote genotypes. This map will be used for: (1) studying the molecular organisation of genomic regions involved in inter- and intraspecific differentiation in oaks and (2) identification of QTLs for adaptive traits. A genetic linkage map of Theobroma cacao (cocoa) has been constructed from 131 backcross trees derived from a cross between a single tree of the variety Catongo and an F1 tree from the cross of Catongo by Pound 12. The map comprises 138 markers: 104 RAPD loci, 32 RFLP loci and two morphologic loci. Ten linkage groups were found which cover 1068 centimorgans (cM). Only six (4%) molecular-marker loci show a significant deviation from the expected 11 segregation ratio. The average distance between two adjacent markers is 8.3 cM. The final genome-size estimates based on two-point linkage data ranged from 1078 to 1112 cM for the cocoa genome. This backcross progeny segregates for two apparently single gene loci controlling (1) anthocyanidin synthesis (Anth) in seeds, leaves and flowers and (2) self-compatibility (Autoc). The Anth locus was found to be 25 cM from Autoc and two molecular markers co-segregate with Anth. The genetic linkage map was used to localize QTLs for early flowering, trunk diameter, jorquette height and ovule number in the BC1 generation using both single-point ANOVA and interval mapping. A minimum number of 2–4 QTLs (P<0.01) involved in the genetic expression of the traits studied was detected. Coincident map locations of a QTL for jorquette height and trunk diameter suggests the possibility of pleiotropic effects in cocoa for these traits. The combined estimated effects of the different mapped QTLs explained between 11.2% and 25.8% of the phenotypic variance observed in the BC1 population.  相似文献

Recent enhancement of the pool of known molecular markers for avocado has allowed the construction of the first moderately dense genetic map for this species. Over 300 SSR markers have been characterized and 163 of these were used to construct a map from the reciprocal cross of two Florida cultivars 'Simmonds' and 'Tonnage'. One hundred thirty-five primer pairs amplified 163 usable loci with 20 primer pairs amplifying more than one locus. 'Tonnage' was heterozygous for 152 (93%) loci, whereas 'Simmonds' was heterozygous for 64 (39%). Null alleles were identified at several loci. Linkage maps were produced for both reciprocal crosses and combined to generate a composite linkage map for the F1 population of 715 individuals. The composite map contains 12 linkage groups. Linkage groups ranged in size from 157.3 cM (LG2) to 2.4 cM (LG12) and the number of loci mapped per group ranged from 29 (LG1) to two (LG12). The total map length was 1,087.4 cM. Only seven markers were observed to have segregation distortion (α ≤ 0.05) across both sub-composite (reciprocal) maps. Phenotypic data from traits of horticultural interest are currently being collected on this population with the ultimate goal of identifying useful quantitative trait loci and the development of a marker-assisted selection program.  相似文献
