Abstract:The viral particles present in a nonproducer rat neoplasm induced by murine sarcoma virus (MSV) Moloney isolate, as detected by electron microscopy, were found to be biologically active on normal kidney cells of random-bred Osborne-Mendel rats. The virus is designated here as MSV (0). MSV (0) differs from other pseudotypes of MSV in its host range, antigenicity, and interference pattern.
