| Abstract: | Sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis of ribosomal proteins of Rhodopseudomonas palustris revealed that the 29S subunit lacked a high-molecular-weight protein. It is suggested that a high-molecular-weight protein may function in protecting ribosomal ribonucleic acid from ribonuclease degradation. |
