| A newly-recorded genus Psilometriocnemus S?ther (Diptera: Chironomidae) from the Oriental Region of China with description of a new species |

| Abstract:The genus Psilometriocnemus S?ther is newly-recorded from the Oriental Region of China. One new species Psilometriocnemus s?theri sp. nov. is described and illustrated as the male imago. The new species is characterized by a robust anal point, reduced inferior volsella and crista dorsalis. The generic diagnosis of the genus is emended and a key to adult males of Psilometriocnemus worldwide is presented. |
