| Parasporin (PS) is a kind of crystal proteins synthesized by Bacillus thuringiensis that has no insecticidal activity, after digested by protease the zymolytically active polypeptide possessed specific cytotoxicity against human cancer cells from diferent tissues, however, having lower or non toxicity against normal cells; it is a kind of microbial anti-cancer protein with great potency. Category of the PSs that have been discovered in B. thuringiensis in recent years, their structural features, cytoactive spectrum, and insectcidal mechanism were briefly summarized in this paper. |
